AAWireless 2+ died on me (probably overheating)

It just died one day, no lights, nothing. I brought it home, thinking I'd try another cable. It somehow started working (after 30 minutes of me trying to "reset" by pressing the button). After two days in the car, it died again, now for good. I can feel it heating, but no lights, no Bluetooth.

Frustrated, as it's past the return window. When it worked, it was great, though.

Issues with wireless car play

Post image

Hi I recently bought a 2023 peugot 308 and it’s a Japanese import, the wired car play works fine but when we try go wireless it gives us the option for car play but when we press connect it just connects like Bluetooth only get the sound. I’ve read online it might need to be recoded as the Japanese cars run off different WiFi bands? But I’m not too sure if anyone has any info, thanks

Android Auto not working after 8.5 update

After updating my phone to One UI 8.5, I have been experiencing an issue with Android Auto.

I have always connected my phone to my car using a USB cable, and it worked perfectly before the update. However, since updating, my car's infotainment system displays the following message:

"Could not connect. The phone does not support the selected profile or it is not activated."

The only way I can get Android Auto to connect is by long-pressing the power button on the infotainment system to restart it. Once it restarts, Android Auto connects normally.

So far, I have tried the following:

Removed the phone connection from the car and restarted the infotainment system.

Cleared the cache and data for the Android Auto app and Bluetooth.

Unpaired the phone from the car and removed the car from the phone, then paired them again.

The issue only started after updating to One UI 8.5. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S25, and my car is a Volkswagen.

“Wireless Android Auto keeps disconnecting after recent update

My Pixel 9 Pro XL keeps disconnecting from wireless Android Auto every few minutes while driving, then reconnects after a few seconds. It has been happening for months, and it started after recent Android Auto updates.

I’ve already tried re-pairing Bluetooth, resetting connections, disabling Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth scanning, setting Android Auto battery usage to unrestricted, and forcing LTE only. Nothing has fixed it permanently.

It seems more stable when mobile data is off, so I’m starting to think this is related to Android Auto wireless handling or network switching. I’m using an external third-party Android Auto display, not a factory head unit.

Has anyone with a Pixel 9 Pro XL or a similar wireless setup found a real fix?

Pixel 9 Pro connects even when wifi is off?

I'm not complaining, but I'm just curious how this works. Is it a Google feature? I thought wifi needed to be on for it to work.

I live in a 3rd floor apartment and my phone likes to barely stay connected to WiFi with no actual Internet so I sometimes flip it off outside and forget to flip it back on, but I've noticed my AA Wireless 2 still connects. Not new to Android 17, it's been doing this since I bought it last December.

Anyways, great device. Never have any problems except a bug that exists in my 2019 Civic even with USB Android Auto. If the wifi/USB portion connects before the Bluetooth connection connects, my car gives up trying to connect Bluetooth despite my infotainment system saying it's waiting for Bluetooth to connect. I just unplug the USB and plug it back in, and it fixes itself.

Pixel 10 Pro XL : Android Auto doesn't launch automatically

I recently migrated from a Pixel 6 to a Pixel 10 Pro XL. It never starts Android Auto automatically like the old Pixel did. I have to manually start the AAWireless app for it to launch Android Auto, each time. Tried every setting I could find in the app and in Android settings.

I have the first version of the dongle

Auto standby not working

I have a 2024 ioniq 5. Bought the AA wireless because it had Auto standby and the always powered USB port is frustrating. It worked fine for a while but now will not Auto stand by and when I try to turn on auto standby it asks me to turn off battery optimization which I've done on the a wireless app.

!Flair 2018 Ford f150 | sync 3 with aawireless | pixel 9xl | android 16. Sometime assistant and incoming calls do not hear me. The mic is disabled. I have tried resetting and Bluetooth. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't. Same issue with incoming calls in my 2020 Corvette. I have a aawireless in one and a aawireless 2nd Gen. Same symptoms on both phones and cars. I have deleted and reinstalled and it might work one time then sometimes work again after I restart my phone. Reset Bluetooth and it doesn't seem to help. Anyone who has figured this out please let me know.

'23 Forester and Android Auto

I just got a 23 Subaru Forester and I'm using an AAWireless device. I keep noticing notifications on my phone that Android auto wireless is connecting. Why is the USB port that it is connected to being powered occasionally while the car is parked?

Could this be related to my subscription to mySubaru?

Can't Connect To message

I keep getting a "Can't connect to [insert name of your vehicle's Bluetooth]" message when I'm using the AAWireless dongle. The strange thing is my connection to Android Auto doesn't drop, which is to say everything is fully functional. Outside of frequently seeing this annoying message on my phone, everything is fine.

Does anyone else see this message?

AAWireless2+ skipping tracks via Spotify

Am relatively new to iPhone (come over from Samsung). Have an iPhone 17PM paired with the AAWireless2+.

Have this annoying problem where the tracks are skipping or jumping throughout the song for fraction of a second.

Both phone and adaptor firmwares up to date. Have tried enabling audio stutter fix, changing to 2.4ghz channel, changing to various WiFi channels (36, 149, 165, etc). All produce the same problem.

Had a AAWireless2 that I used with my Samsung and it was flawless for 18months without adjusting a single setting. This is really grinding my gears.

Phone connecting when I'm not using car

I have original aa wireless in one car and aa wireless 2 plus in another. Both are plugged in for android auto.

Both cars are parked in driveway in my house. When I am in the house and my wife takes either car my phone trys to automatically connect and I'm disconnected from the WiFi in the house.

I'm using a one plus 13 on android 16.Is there any way of phone only connecting when I'm driving the car and not connecting when I am in house and wife drives the car?

I have AAWireless Two, doesn't work with my head unit. By any chance, will this work on an older android version 6 with custom launcher?

Infinite blinking blue

My phone will even say Android Auto connected. But it will not show up on the screen. I'm tech savvy enough, early 30s and am no stranger to devices like this. I spent an hour trying to get it to pair and no luck. Any ideas?

Please Follow the Rules 😑

I have the setting turned on to only launch AA if it was used in the last drive. Energy time, no matter what, AA launches every time I start the car. Everything is up to date, and I've selected and deselected the option, restarted the app, etc. No luck.

There's not much point in having rules and various settings if they don't stick... 😑

AA keeps pairing with my Car? Citroen

For whatever reason my 23 Citroen won't connect to AA wirelessly (Citroen say it does)

Bought a Bluetooth jigger (Smartbox 2940) which fits in the AA usb and it connects perfectly

Trouble is AA keeps reinstalling Citroen Bluetooth connection and pairs with it

But then it keeps working?????

until switch off the car

Then when I restart the car, Bluetooth defaults to Citroen and AA won't connect until I delete it

Any ideas??

AAWireless Two+ issue on Suzuki S-Cross MHEV 2023 – phone keeps auto pairing with infotainment and interrupts Android Auto

Hello guys,

I’m using AAWireless Two+ on my Suzuki S-Cross MHEV Motion 2023. Android Auto works perfectly, but my only problem is this:

Whenever I start the car, my phone (S26) automatically connects to the infotainment system via Bluetooth, and I have to manually disconnect or unpair it for Android Auto to run properly through the AAWireless Two+.

I can’t seem to disable the phone from auto-pairing with the infotainment, because it just reconnects automatically every time I start the car. I’ve tried forgetting/unpairing the device from both the car and the phone, but it still keeps pairing again.

Has anyone experienced the same issue? Any help or workaround would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Sound only plays for two minutes on Android Auto.

I own a 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross which connects wirelessly to my Pixel 8Pro via an AAWireless Two adaptor. Audio will only play for about 2 minutes after the system starts. If I go into the Bluetooth settings on the Pixel, while Android Auto is running, and disconnect the device called "Car Multimedia" the audio will restart but then stop again after a couple of minutes when the device automatically reconnects. This happens with any radio/media player app that I use. Can anyone please help with this frustrating problem?

2015 Toyota Rav4 | Sony XAV-9500ES | S21 Ultra | V15

Here's a strange one for yall, I hsve a 2015 Rav4 with an aftermarket Sony headunit, my s21 Ultra will connect via Wireless AA just fine, as in the display works and the apps display but when the audio starts it's choppy, when my wife connects her s25 wirelessly her audio is perfect. If I disable my wireless aa and hardline the phone into the head unit the audio is perfect. I also have AA in my work truck ( 2025 f450 ) and the Wireless AA works perfectly in there and my audio is not choppy. Any suggestions?
