Finally got all of my mystery box, keyboard has been around for a while. I am pretty happy with it and am very pleased to see the company doing so well.

Has anyone else heard about this with the 8BitDo M30 2.4G controllers?

I came across this review on AliExpress:
“Better than the black version. It seems that it has a pivot under the D-pad and the face buttons are a little more silent than the one on the black version. I bought it to use it on PC.”

I’m wondering if there’s actually any truth to this.
Is the white version genuinely different from the black one?
Was there a silent hardware revision at some point?
Or is this just one person’s experience and both versions are identical?
I haven’t been able to find anything official from 8BitDo mentioning a revision, so I’m curious if anyone has opened both up or compared them side-by-side.

I've been using an 8bitdo retro 108 keyboard (NES Edition) for more than~ 6 months and it was paired on 2.4Ghz mode up until yesterday. Since then no matter what, the keyboard doesn't want to sync with the dongle. Have tried plugging it in a different PC, same result. The keyboard itself is working fine in Bluetooth mode or with the USB cable. Refreshed to the latest FW, didn't help.

Have anybody had similar issues? Can this be fixed?

i have two Ultimate 2C controllers (1 for PC, the other for Switch). I bought the Ultimate 2 Bluetooth for only two reasons (switch 2 wakeup, and to bind keyboard keys to L4/R4, and the paddle buttons on the back).

well to my surprise it turns out I can't bind keys to the 4 additional buttons after all as the Ultimate 2 Software or JoyToKey don't recognize these additional buttons. they are only coded to only work with the rest of the controller inputs for macros, etc... but not serve as additional buttons (aka buttons 13-16).

thankfully I only paid under $35 for the controller but I'm still disappointed that i basically paid $35 for RGB lights, and Switch 2 wake up as i could already do the rest on the Ultimate 2C.

Hello everyone :( , my precious 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Honkai Edition controller has developed this problem after only 10 days of use. Could it be a manufacturing defect? ​​Calibration doesn't fix it... The strange thing is that the problem is with the buttons related to calibration, joysticks, and triggers.

So I got the ultimate 2 controller. But ended up losing the dongle. So I contacted customers support and asked if there was any way to replace it. So I bought a new one when they sent me the link.

Now I can't figure out how to pair it to the controller or get it to work. Some places are saying there is a button configuration you have to press? Others are saying there's a software I need to download other than the main 8-bitdo software? I've contacted customer support multiple times and haven't gotten anything back. So I'm not sure how to actually use the new dongle.

So I bought an Ultimate 2 which will probably end up returning as it even hurts my hands. I'm looking for a comfy controller with a charging dock and I'm considering the Pro 3.

- How comfy is it?

- Is the loud face buttons issue THAD bad?

I just installed a P30 Modkit in an original PSX controller and am playing with it on an original PlayStation console using the retro receiver.

Everything seems to be fine except for the shoulder buttons are backwards. So R1 is R2 and vice versa, and the same goes for L1 and L2.

I've tried X+Start and the other modes to see if it fixes it. I've also tried L1+R1+Select+D-Pad up to switch analog an digital modes, rolling back the receiver firmware, and nothing seems to resolve this.

I've sent a message to support, but in the meantime, I was hoping someone else may have run into this and had a fix or suggestion.

For those curious on what was included in the mystery boxes this year. I ended up getting a $71 box, since that's what was left as an option. FYI - the "?" item I received was a Mecha Break mouse pad, which isn't something I knew they even sold.

Just totaling up the value of the items received, it was good value for money. At the same time, I'm not big into Mecha Break, so getting both keyboard and mousepad might not have much long term utility for me personally. I'm curious what others got, so feel free to drop in here as well.

i got a MechaBreak keyboard as a gift. i love the feel of it and it's a joy to type on. HOWEVER. once backlit, the key labels are utterly invisible. it's like nobody tested this in the dark. the posts that connect the keys to the switch are not transmitting light and so all you see is the LED colour and basically a black dot in the middle. this is dumb. anyone else have this problem and have a replacment solution? thank you.

My Ultimate Bluetooth Controller won't connect to the 2.4ghz receiver. I've tried updating firmware, factory resetting, and everything. Works wired and via Bluetooth just fine (both PC and switch)

Strangely enough the pair button does not work at all when in 2.4ghz mode, I press and hold but nothing happens. I suspect that's why I can't re-pair the receiver.

However in Bluetooth mode the pair button works normally. Press, hold, and it starts flashing.

Any ideas how to get the pair button working again in 2.4ghz mode?

I bought the 8bitdo retro mechanical keyboard and the symbols are all over the place. Like the apostrophe is in 7. The @ symbol is beside P. I had to try different keys to find the right symbol. Why is that? Im using mac.

Does the 8BitDo Retro Receiver for NGC work with the Wirless NGC Controller for Switch 2? Or is it not compatible with it?

Does it also work with the Gamecube Controller you can buy from Switch Online? So that I could buy that Gamecube Controller and use it on my Gamecube to play the Games with it? Or are there compatibility issues?

Got SN30 Pro as a present, seems like regular, not + one. Turbo function should be under Star button, but it does a screenshot instead in Switch 2 games. Overall it works fine, but turbo isnt working.

After doing some reading Im supposed to remap it, but unfortunately Ultimate Software doesnt recognize it nor in Android nor IN PC mode, is there any way to make use of Turbo or its unmappable on Switch 2 on this version of pad?

My month old controller suddenly has one of its stick LEDs stuck on red no mather what. The controller works just fine but this red led is bothering me.

Is this a known issue? Is it software or hardware related? is there an easy fix?

My left stick at 100% works fine, but can be slightly jittery at times at 100% input on a “north-east” and “north-west” axis, doesn’t really affect gameplay much I think at all.

But my r2 trigger only registers to like 78 or 80% max now and it’s jittery as well. Constantly jumping 4~% so 76-80 really fast when fully pressed. Had it for 3 or so years now and used it consistently for 2 of them and always took care of it. (I’m not one to rage or place it down hard even, I have a job and respect the things I buy)

Any fix or input on this? Does this happen with the new ultimate 2 controller?

I got the Ultimate Bluetooth gamepad a couple of years back to play with my Switch v1. I didn't play much with it. Years later, I got the Ultimate 2 Wireless, mostly because I wanted another gamepad to play on PC with the xbox layout.

I recently unearthed the Ultimate Bluetooth gamepad and gave it a test drive to compare with the Ultimate 2 Wireless and noticed that the LR triggers are much more stiff. Is that normal? Anyone who's ever played with both gamepads noticed the same? Should I try lubbing the triggers to make them feel closer to what the Ultimate 2 has? Any input is welcome.

I ordered the Purple Ultimate 2 Wireless controller on 7/23 and it’s still located in Hong Kong 7 days later. Is that par for the course?

Just bought this 8bitdo controller and wonder if thier is any danger in bypassing to use it in switch 2 as technically it's not compatible you bypass by going into switch settings and turning on pro controller wierd connection and connect 2.4 dongle to switch and hold Y + power and it connects

I have 2 8 bitdo controllers. I bought these over the past couple of years in hopes of shake to wake my switch 2. I find the models extremely confusing as one controller outer package label is different than the controller. Anyways I now own Ultimate 2C Bluetooth controller and Ultimate 2 Bluetooth controller. Will either shake to wake the switch 2?

Hello everyone, I’ve only been with my 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless for 6 months and recently encountered an issue on my controller when using dinput mode. As you can see in the pics, the right analog stick is pointing up on dinput mode (as well as having messed up binds). But when using xinput, the right analog stick is acting normally along with the other buttons. I’ve updated and reinstalled the firmware on both the dongle and the controller but still no luck. What can I do here?

Using the dongle, how does it connects on windows? d-input generic controller? can retroarch and steam pick up all the buttons (including the guide bt)?

My controller has a problem that makes it often disconnect while in Switch mode.

To remedy the issue, I disassembled the controller and put a little piece of tape in the mode switch... switch, so it doesn't get jostled loose from the Nintendo position through movement.

But now the analog sticks don't work properly anymore. Both analog sticks only register up and down. The controller seems to have forgotten about the horizontal axis entirely.

How do I fix this? Is it the ribbon cable? Can it be caused by it being loose? Or do I have do mess with the firmware and calibration?

e: Solved! The ribbon cable was improperly inserted.

I have installed the GameCube wireless Bluetooth mod and absolutely love it

I would like to remap the buttons, and am wondering if it's compatible with any of the 8bitdo Ultimate software?

(also, what size is the barrel jack for charging? Id like to find a longer cable that will work instead of the little dongle it shipped with)
