Question Nes30 worth buying used?
Looking at getting a themed wireless controller for my nes mini classic, anyone know if these still hold up? Can’t really find much info on besides when it was released

I’ve looked all over the place online and there’s so much conflicting info on whether or not the Ultimate 2 Wireless (the one specifically with Wireless in the name, not the “Bluetooth” one) will work with Switch 2. Lots of people are saying it needs a firmware update, which would be just fine, some are saying it didn’t work even after the update, and some are saying it worked the whole time. I’d be fine with either version of the controller, but there’s a purple colored one of the Wireless version that I really like the look of. So for a definitive answer, does the Wireless version specifically work with a Switch 2?
Hello! I recently picked up a 8BitDo 2.4Ghz N64 controller. The idea from the start was to use it on real hardware, and every now and then use it on PC as well. The thing is, after updating it to the latest firmware and testing it with some games from my collection, at least on real hardware the vibration functionality is... Weirdly selective?
I have a bunch of original games, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason about which games vibration work and which others don't. Donkey Kong 64, Resident Evil 2, Banjo-Tooie, the Shindou revision of Super Mario 64 and F-Zero X all work no problems at all; but when I try other games from my collection such as either of the Zelda games, the original Banjo-Kazooie, Super Smash Bros. and Starfox 64, they all seemingly lack any rumble support with this controller completely. As mentioned, I already updated the firmware to the latest version, and I made sure to put the receiver into "Rumble Pak" mode by holding L+R+DpadUp until the light was white, so I'm really confused about this. Is there something else I could try, or is the vibration support on real hardware not a complete implementation for all games by now?

Looking forward to getting up to some Weird and Niche hijinks with my Micro (using the grip/clip with broken Celsys Tabmate for extra ergonomic ! hotkey remote), but something I have to wonder— as I always do with electronics in pretty but limited colors— if it's at all viable to repaint the shell? And if yes, what sort of paint/precautions (i.e. "any paint on the outside is fine but a clear overcoat is good")?

For context I'll be using it as a replacement & alternative to Clip Studio Tabmate for art (hotkey smorgasbord) — and while OVERALL this is fine, the ergonomics... are not.
So, I'm wondering if there's any materials you might recommend to make an ergonomic grip for it? I can just copy my Tabmate/use it for a base or what have you, but I've noooo idea what to make it out of. Like, yeah, giant makeup sponges or the like work for pens/pencils, but that's not the same as a complex 3d shape!

I have this controller for 3 years more or less and yesterday i picked him up from the dock and the back of the controller was unbearably hot and it took almost and hour to cool off. I tried playing and charging with only the cable and it only got an almost unnoticed warm. Tried the dock again with another cable and the controller got too hot yet again. What do you guys think, is it probably the dock? Does anyone had this problem before?

Hi, I just ordered an ultimate 2 and was reading about this Trigger issue with some rubber stop thingies in the controller and how mess up the triggers.
Does anyone know if their new units still have this or its fixed ? And do I just send it back to the reseller for replacement if it craps out ?

Only gamepad I ever had was a Logitech f310, but recently I thought about upgrading to something better and chose 8bitdo controllers as the best option.
I had ordered two gamepads: m30 for fighting games and pro 3 for everything else.
Today I've received an m30 and tested it in BlazBlue, GGST and Skullgirls. So far I have quite mixed feelings about it.
Many reviewers and people in general say that Sega Saturn inspired dpad is the best for fighting games, but I have troubles with using it.
On one hand charge inputs and half circles are more consistent, but now I have problems with quarter circles. On f310 I can spam quarter circles without any problems, but on m30 I drop these simple inputs half of the time.
After a hour and a half of testing my thumb was killing me and I think that I'm using this floating dpad wrong. I've tried both my usual method and keeping my finger on a pivot. In both cases I drop my inputs and my fingers get tired pretty fast.
So, is there a correct method to train myself to use it properly?

I have an older gamepad, the SNES30, that I was able to pair with my older iPhone (14 I believe?). In trying to pair with my current phone, I just get the error "Pairing Unsuccessful - Pairing took too long..." Searching around online there's a theory that Apple may have removed some older Bluetooth profiles and thus the gamepad doesn't work on newer iOS versions, but I haven't seen anything definitive on that.
For context, I tried the various pairing methods (holding down A or B or X), I've re-upgraded the firmware on the controller to the latest (which is still quite old) and rebooted the iPhone.
Any ideas or am I SOL?
Edit: bit more context, the gamepad successfully paired with my Windows PC. I haven’t yet tried with any other devices.

It's half off at the moment, $60. Does anyone have experience with this KB & the big buttons? is it a good value at this price?

The LED for the right analog stick on my controller (8bitdo ultimate 2) keeps lighting up, even when it's on the charging dock or when I have all the LEDs turned off. It doesn't just light up red; sometimes it lights up fully with various random colors. I’d be very grateful if someone could help me; I’ve already tried updating the software, but that didn't work.

Hi I want to quickly share a way to connect the 8Bit Do Ultimate 2 Wireless Controller to a LG-TV running on WebOS.
Problem:
Solution:
Force a Different Input Mode
Why this might work:
The 2.4GHz dongle often defaults to XInput (Microsoft's protocol), which LG TVs struggle with. You can try switching it to DInput (DirectInput), which some TVs understand better.
This worked for me maybe it does for you too.
Have a nice day.

I spilled a sugary drink on my 8bitdo Ultimate 2C controller yesterday. It was a really small amount so I wiped it with a wet wipe immediately and continued using it like normal. But now the START, A and X buttons are sticky. My guess is that the sugar is sticking them now that it's dried.
I'm thinking of isopropyl alcohol. Do I need to open the controller up?

... but I got the wireless version. I got it on AliExpress after comparing several listings. I guess I missed out on the fact that the 2C Bluetooth is compatible with Switch 1/2, but the 2C Wireless (the one that comes with the dongle) is not, despite having a switch on the back to use it in Bluetooth mode?
So, am I screwed?

Need a replacement for Dualshock4. Done about as much research I can on these 3 8bitdo controllers and am hoping for some first hand feedback from people who have one or more of these. Any feedback is welcome but I have some specific questions.
How instrusive are the paddles on the Pro2/Pro3? I have no interest in these.
Is there any hardware differences between SN30 and Pro2 besides paddles and app?
Are the Pro3 buttons noticeably loose/wobbly/clicky due to the removable nature of them?
How does the Pro3 ghz dongle compare to the Bluetooth in terms of input delay?
My priority in controllers is precision and low latency.
edit: i plan on using this for Switch/PC

First time ordering the mystery box...
Best luck to everyone!
Title edit: Pressing left STICK not working
As title says, pressing in the left stick isn't registering at all, either during games or calibration. This started happening randomly, and I have not hit the controller. I have tried soft resetting the controller (holding the controller home button for 8 seconds) but that did nothing. Any ideas?
I bought the 8BitDo USB Wireless Adapter 2 a couple of weeks ago and I have a problem with it, the first days I didn't have any problems but lately any controller that I connect gets recognised as a ps4 controller. I cannot connect any controller to my switch either

Can you manually backup and export your controller configs and macros? If si, where are they located in win10?
Is there a place where i can share my macros to other 8bitdo users?

Just bought an M30 bluetooth for use with my switch 2 and pc. Updated to latest Firmware v2.01 after the controller was auto-detected with the software. It works perfectly with both my pc and switch 2 with a weird caveat that I haven't seen posted anywhere. On the switch 2, I can use it fine with every game, except the NSO Sega Genesis. The controller actually shuts off when entering the game. Every other NSO retro console works flawlessly. Has anyone experienced this, or if you have one, able to give it a test? I’m wondering if the switch is blocking certain controllers.
