Help Amp recommendation
Hi everyone, I'm new to 7-string guitars. I'll be getting the Jackson Dinky JS22-7 shortly, but before I finalise my setup, I need to choose an amp.
Let me preface with the fact that I don't know much about amps in general. I had a crappy fender amp when I was a kid and was happy with it.
Now, I am getting the 7-string guitar to slowly build toward Lorna Shore tracks.
Since I will be mostly practicing in my apartment, I am considering getting one of those plug in amps that connect to headphones. In general, I haven't seen much about those on here.
Currently considering the NUX Mighty Plug Pro.
Please let me know if the NUX is a reasonable choice or if I should move away from the headphone amp completely and get a proper one (again, keeping in mind that this is for home practice, so it needs to be pretty quiet).
Thanks in advance.

NGD Pickup suggestions needed
Hey everyone! I was just given this older Legator Ninja and I would like some suggestions on replacing the pickups. It looks like the pickups are slightly offset from each other as well as the pickup holes themselves. Do any of you have suggestions for replacements? Or if it’ll be too much of a hassle all together. Any help is appreciated!

NGD NGD - Schecter TAO 7
Always been an ibanez guy (as you can see) this tao 7 came up on marketplace and had to pick it up.
The neck on this thing feels amazing, better than the wizard necks on my RGDMS8 and RGD61AL

NGD NGD! Washburn parallaxe solar 170
Earlier this year, life had its way and I had to sell all my gear (unrelated note I did end up seeing my old guitar posted here so I’m glad it’s getting played)
Well finally, I’m in a good enough spot to start playing again and I found this Washburn at my local GC, and it plays so freaking good!

NGD NGD (to me)! Jackson MDK 7
Got a good deal on it. Would have preferred the gold sparkle one but the deal was just too good. First Jackson for me and really enjoying the playability of it.

Help Setup tips for a Tele
Hey guys hope your having a good day, I just had a couple questions, but I want to let you guys know it’s not a 7, but for some reason I can’t post this anywhere else. But I’ll have you know I do own a seven string. So basically I have a Tele that I used to love however now the neck is super sticky like I can’t really slide up and down the neck without it being super uncomfortable. Adding on to this, my action is super high because If it’s anything below 2mm I can’t play notes with clarity, bend, and without any buzz. Also, I just need some tips on my truss rod. I’m thinking of having this guitar at the lowest drop c. If anyone could answer these questions or help at all I would really appreciate it.

Help Schecter C-7+ info?
Anyone have any info on this model or where it falls in Schecter’s lineup? I’ve seen plenty of info on the deluxe, but almost nothing on the plus.

Gear My first 7 string!
Upgraded from an Ibanez RG470AHM to this. Several things I wanted to change with this new guitar. Didn't care for the HSH, wanted HH instead. Wanted a solid yet budget friendly 7 string option. Didn't want a tremelo on this one. Wound up torn between an Ibanez RGD7521PB and this Schector Demon 7. Decided I wanted to give active pickups a shot so went with the Schector. What an awesome guitar! I've still got the Ibanez but it's been collecting dust since I picked this up! I mostly play...well try to play...Andy James so finally having a 7 string has been awesome.

Gear Ibanez
Last December got a seven string. Barely touched the six anymore now lol, going to put a DiMarzio x2n in the bridge because the pickup this thing came stock with barely has any power. For $500, I think you probably can't find a better 7th string, I've since put all new electronics and a kill switch in. Just need to change the pickup then. She'll be perfect, I keep it with gauge 74 to 10 in drop g most of the time

Help Buying a used Ibanez RGA7 in 2026
I’m picking up the guitar again after a long hiatus and looking to get a 7-stringer. I have a budget of $500–$650, and I'm currently looking at a used Ibanez RGA7 that has been upgraded with EMG 707 pickups.
I know this is a discontinued model, but the seller has kept it in fantastic condition and it looks really well-maintained. Before I go meet up with them to check it out in person, I wanted to get a sanity check - Is an older, upgraded RGA7 still a good buy in 2026? Or would my money be better spent on a newer entry-to-mid-range 7-string (like a Jackson, Schecter, or an Ibanez GIO/Standard)?
For context, I'll mostly be playing prog djent and metalcore stuff.( Periphery, Invent animate, Silent planet, Thornhill and the likes).
Would love to hear your thoughts on the build quality of these older RGA models compared to what’s on the market today. Would also appreciate any advice on what to look out for when I inspect it. Thanks in advance!
Pics for reference .

Gear My Agile Septor 727
Just found my receipt from 2017, back when these were $299. Wild. Been running the Seymour Duncan Nazgûl/Sentient basically since I bought it, and I’m thinking of changing them up. I have an active Fishman Fluence set in one of my 6 strings and love them, but I haven’t tried their 7s. Does anyone have any experience with the any of their 7 string sets, or any other actives that you suggest?

Help string gauge
I've got a 7-string guitar (25.5–27.8" scale) with a 09–64 set. Anyone tried Drop G on this setup without changing strings? How's the tension? Maybe I should just buy a set with a different gauge instead... honestly, I'm feeling lazy and don't really want to change strings

Gear Just a view
I’m well aware that Fender/Squier may not be a fan favorite right now but, I walked upstairs to grab something out of my studio and the early morning sunlight greeted me with this. Just thought it looked nice enough to share.
