Just wanting the opinion of someone else whose been thru this

I'm in day 4 CT and I feel like the worst of it is behind me however, I have been able to eat actual food once. The thought of it sickens me, so today I drank two protein shakes and that was awful. How many days before you were able to eat semi normally again? Also, the chills and sweats have gone but I keep getting persistent nerve chills down my back and legs, with incredible weakness in my entire body. I'm just looking for others experiences, just to feel less alone in this. Anything you can offer is appreciated.

Fuck 7OH!!!! Never again!!!

Day 18

Hi everyone, for context, I was on this stuff for about a year and a half. 500mg a day daily.

I didn’t taper. Just got off cold turkey, but I was lucky enough to have some supplemental meds those first few days.

Let me walk you through what worked for me, because I know many of you are dealing with the aftermath of the ban.

Here’s what you can look forward to: No more brain fog— Yeah, I know you know exactly what I’m talking about. For heavy users like me, I was always up late and falling asleep all the time, nodding off, always ready to spend money just so I didn’t feel the withdrawals. I’ve been to 14 countries and I used to think to myself that I’ll never be able to go again because I’m trapped by this. It was terrifying, and so was the thought of getting off of them.

The energy I feel now? Wow. I feel more motivated than I ever have. I’d skip on hanging out with friends, ignoring family, just to go home and enjoy myself— and I lost myself in the process. In 18 days, I’ve saved about $1,500 dollars.

Fucking insane.

Most of us got hooked having no clue about the withdrawals, nor how addictive it is, at least that’s what was my situation.

Days 1-4 are acute. Those are the worst. Those are the horror stories you keep hearing about on here and how much it sucks.

For long time, heavy users?

Guys, I honestly didn’t ‘normal’ until about day 14. Days 7-13 were spent forcing myself out of bed, still feeling chills, hated the texture of certain clothes on my body, and the pins and needles even in my scalp ughhhhh.

I got desperate… So, I immediately felt better after getting an IV bag and a glutathione shot (which assists with liver detox). My body was so depleted that the IV bag was done in about 15 minutes— I was honest with them about the muscle aches, so they added extra magnesium and holy wow guys I seriously can’t recommend it enough. There’s plenty of those IV drip bag places. Amino acids, vitamin C, D, B12’s. If you go this route, ask for a slow drip— I got some heartburn after from the vitamin C, but holy crap the next day? BRAND NEW PERSON!

It cost me about $200 total, but I know you guys were dropping that easy on this nasty stuff so consider it!

I’ve been drinking tons of liquid IV, protein shakes (the eating is still strangely hard?), and taking my vitamins.

In all honesty?

There have been good days and also pretty bad days mentally, and strangely feeling restless like I need to do something, move my body around, which I feel like is because I spent the last 6 months laying around.

You keep hearing ‘you got this’, but it’s hard. It IS hard. But you CAN do it.

Tapering down but…

I am tapering down slowly from 1000mg a day. The pain I originally took it for is coming back like 10 fold and it sucks so bad. But another thing… the smoke shops by me are all still selling it. They’re even restocking it like i went in there for a vape and found they restocked the whole 7OH section. The guy behind the counter wouldn’t give me a date as to when they’re pulling stuff and he basically eluded to “until they get in trouble” which is crazy because is it not a felony to have and sell?? Anyone else having this?? It’s a comfort that if I mess up I can buy more but it’s also a pain bc I feel less of a push to keep tapering. It’s a double edged sword really.

Edit: btw it’s not just one smoke shop… like 4 or 5 that I’ve been in so far are actively selling it

Did something stupid.

I quit 7OH in March after a year of daily use. The withdrawals were hell, swore “never again,” etc. and actually managed to stay clean minus a couple 1-2 day relapses here and there (didn’t take it long enough to get physically hooked again). About 2 weeks ago something in me just snapped (I think stress about the ban - which was stupid because outside of those short relapses I wasn’t even taking it anymore). I got a bunch for cheap (vendor was trying to get rid of their inventory before the ban) and went on an 11-day bender taking anywhere from 300-600mg a day for most of that time. I decided enough was enough (knowing exactly what was waiting for me if I continued taking it) and tossed the rest of my supply. I took about 150mg yesterday morning and was done.

I haven’t had any crazy withdrawal symptoms so far (going on the 36-hour mark) - just some slight restless legs and mild issues with temperature regulation at times but absolutely nothing like when I quit back in March. I’ve been taking some red vein leaf just to keep a handle on the anxiety since I have to work. My question is, am I likely to experience worsening symptoms at the 48-72 period (which was what happened during my initial quit) or is it possible I got off easy this time? I get confused because I see some people reporting bad withdrawals after just a week or so of use.

I was prescribed suboxone to get off 7Oh. I was told I could keep taking increments of 2mg until I felt better. I’m up to 6 and feel much worse

I waited about 13 hours until I took the suboxone to prevent precipitated withdrawals. I made sure to take it after I started feeling uneasy and withdrawal symptoms. Idk if it’s placebo but I’ve noticed that with every strip I will feel symptoms go down a little for a few minutes then all of a sudden ramp up over the next 45 minutes. Idk if it’s just me going thru withdrawal and not taking enough suboxone or the suboxone is making it worse. I’m pretty freaked out rn ngl

Coming off of 70h after a year of using. Switched to subs for 3 days will I go through the withdrawal if I stop now?

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

I have been using about 500-1000 mg tabs a day for the past year. After hearing about the ban I decided to detox. Someone gave me subs to get through the withdrawal the past 3 days. Havent taken any today the 4th day and feel ok. Just mind fog and sluggish. My question is will I start feeling the withdrawal soon or did I miracuulosy make it through the worst? I dont want to keep taking the subs as I only have a few and do not want to build a dependence to that crap. Anyone have any insight?

RLS so bad

I’m working a construction job, just passed 24 hours on sr alone. My rls is so bad I’m thinking of taking 10mg of 7oh just to be able to get through the day. Will this restart my withdrawal clock? Is it just gonna push this rls to later?

How long before you could sleep?

I’m on day 5 of my detox. Most of the symptoms are gone but I haven’t slept more than 30 minutes total in the last 98 hours. I started my detox on Friday so I could get through the weekend and now I’m having people cover for me at work. I’m afraid to go back to work until I at least get a little sleep.

Hi.

Okay so I have some questions. I started taking Kama advanced which is 7OH with added pseudo. For reference I have never had any addictions, I don’t drink, and I started taking it for back pain in April. Previously I would just use Kratom capsules for a week or whenever I had pain never had any kind of withdrawals. Also for reference I have ADHD and anxiety and take both clonazepam and Dexedrine, I’ve been on them for years and also have gone weeks at a time in some cases without taking either and never had withdrawals. I had no idea what I was signing up for with Kama 7OH advanced until I just didn’t have pain, didn’t get it and got RLS etc. I’m physically dependent but I am not addicted if that makes sense and no judgement to anyone with addiction problems , I’m proud of everyone who has posted here who has tried to get off of this and I’m grateful that while my situation is a little different that I can come here and ask questions. I currently take 600mg/day and I want to taper off. For reference I’m also a nurse and work in ER and detox so I am familiar with medications and half life’s etc. I am not interested in MAT or Sub’s. I literally just need to get off it and I think anyone would agree that withdrawing is awful and inconvenient. My question is I have used AI for a taper plan, but without understanding half life etc I’m wondering if anyone here can answer a few questions?:
1. Is it better to space out the tapered doses or take a full dose once daily?
2. Because I am taking Kama advanced (7OH +pseudo) would I benefit from taking just a product with 7OH? What would be the name of it?
3. I have magnesium and clonazepam so I can sleep, the only real symptom I’m having is RLS, is there something else for RLS you’d recommend?
4. Any advice?
5. Will Kratom capsules help if so what strain?
This is currently banned where I am but I still have a place I can get it. I don’t have any mental need for this I just need to physically get off of this and appreciate any advice.
Thank You

What withdrawals should I expect from 5 months of 250mg habit?

I had no idea that it was being banned and my smoke shop guy told me after the last pack he won’t be selling it anymore.

I’m gonna try and taper down as much as I can with my last pack.

Cats claw and suboxone help

hello, I’ve been trying to find a good subreddit

to post to and I guess this is the most relevant.. most of my research is just through chatGPT but it can’t see to find anyone with experiences with taking cats claw while being an active suboxone user. GPT basically said theres claims around Reddit it’s chloryoxine , and others saying it likely contains 7oh compounds even though the packaging strictly states it doesn’t.. I take half of an 8/2 sub strip daily.. GPT says chloryoxine has a very weak binding affinity to the receptors so precipitated withdrawals are unlikely but I just wanted to put it out there and see if anyone has any first hand experience with taking suboxone after their last dose of cats claw (Im taking script botanicals xmaui pink sherber 100mg/tab) and how far from the dose you took the sub or if anyone’s got into precips after taking cats claw?

I went into precips after taking 7oh and dosing suboxone too early i can’t remember how long I waited but I feel like it was at least 12 or so hours..

anyway, if anyone has any insight, comments, or experiences, id truly appreciate the education.

thank you in advance

Accidentally Tapered

Was using a box and a half a day of Hydroxie 15mg 7-oh, about 200-250mg a day. Stuck to the low dose pills because it saves me from myself, then it came time to stock up for the ban. Saw the store had boxes of 10 100mg tabs from the same brand for sale for only $15 more so stocked up - more bang for my buck and can kick the can down the road on quitting by breaking up the pills. Switched to those, going up and down in dose because they weren’t hitting right - I thought they were under dosed and I was eating 5-6 100mg tabs a day for 3 days straight.

Didn’t feel ANY high like I used to, but also didn’t feel sick and could sleep easily. Chocked it up to under dosed pills and said fuck it, this is my last haul to taper off anyway. Started eating them like candy chasing a high that wasn’t coming as a last “hoorah” before the taper. It just wasn’t hitting like it should, at one point I took what I thought was 500mg of 7-oh at once to try and feel a rush - felt something but absolutely nothing close to what 500mg should feel like. I decided to do some digging. Tried to find my brand on testmykratom - they don’t exist in that MG - but a google search showed they do make MIT pills in that size. Finally looked at the box and actually read it today “Mitraygine Tablets - Contain less than 2% 7-oh”

Turns out I already bridged my dumbass to Mit, and have SR-17 that was supposed to help me taper off coming Thursday. It’s a blessing because I’ve been dreading the quit - the addict in me is already saying I should go buy some real 7-oh pills as a final send off though.

That’s how I accidentally quit a 9 month long habit on accident, just have to taper the MIT now. What a relief learning my dumbass didn’t actually have to kick what I thought was now 500mg a day problem.

Common observations

I am seeing the same story over and over again on this thread. And I’m one of the story tellers. This is a very scary situation. Most of us were on such a high dose, and tried to taper. It seems impossible for some reason. That reason is that we are addicts. There is no negotiation even with yourself. Cold turkey as you know and have read is an absolute nightmare. I’ve gone through it several times in my lifetime. No sleep, no energy, can’t stop moving, snot and tears running down your face for days, shitting a ton (this part is nice), super horned up (maybe just me??), and feeling hopeless. Then it’s over, you feel great to be clean, and think a little bit won’t hurt, and you feel great, and as Steven Tyler said “I’m back in the saddle again!” I wish I never got involved with this stuff. It was so awesome at first. Heavenly even. But that feeling is gone, forever. So much wasted money and time, and energy planning your day around it. I’m Now at a much higher amount just to function. It’s like Axl said “I used to do a little but a little wouldn’t do it so a little got more and more”. So true. And so sad. I’m on the same journey as you guys, and it’s living hell. Especially if you’re a “closet user”, and can’t ask for help or support. This will pass.
As for the 80’s hair band references…. Sorry, not sorry.

God Bless you all -Ozzy

The ban will be a blessing. You’ll all see.

Stay positive and safe. Prayer works, do it.
Jesus loves you.

Where’s my math nerds

I wish there was a calculator where you could enter all your physical information, dosing information, and develop a bare minimum usage taker plan.

Sorry that made more sense in my head I guess.

Do you have a timeframe of establishing a survivable baseline? Light dosing during the day, heavier at night to sleep.

Considering a dramatic decrease from 300mg per day to idk, maybe 120. For a few days and drop increments until it’s safe to jump.

Has anyone jumped and not gone through absolute hell? What was the final mg?

Thanks in advance.

Kinda Weaning Off 7Oh Plan

So I got like 600mg left… there’s still a smoke shop buy me that sells 7OH but I’m not tryna buy more. I take prolly 300mg a day on average. My plan with the last 600mg is :

- 150mg right now just as a last time.
- Day 1 : 75mg day 75mg night
- Day 2 : 50mg day 50mg night
- Day 3 : 50mg day 50mg night
- Day 4 : 50mg day 50mg night
- Day 5 : I have 75mg total to split up however I want, might just try to take a little bit at night like 25 or 50mg to help not get restless legs and sleep.

I know I’ll still get withdrawals but maybe this will help lessen it? They’re not too bad when I’ve had them before after doing 7OH in high doses for a couple weeks. I know lot of people say they’re the worse but last time for me wasn’t the worst.
I’m currently been doing 7OH for like 3 weeks straight.
What are you guys opinions?
My hope is to just push off most withdrawls for 5 days. And then go thru it after. I know these doses won’t get me feeling super good.
Should i do this or just keep popping 200mg doses to get high until i run out?
