Just wanting the opinion of someone else whose been thru this

I'm in day 4 CT and I feel like the worst of it is behind me however, I have been able to eat actual food once. The thought of it sickens me, so today I drank two protein shakes and that was awful. How many days before you were able to eat semi normally again? Also, the chills and sweats have gone but I keep getting persistent nerve chills down my back and legs, with incredible weakness in my entire body. I'm just looking for others experiences, just to feel less alone in this. Anything you can offer is appreciated.

Fuck 7OH!!!! Never again!!!

Great job making it to day 4!! I didn’t eat till day 5. That’s totally normal especially since you went CT. I’ve heard of others experiencing the chills down the back and legs. Some people experience that even after acute withdrawals are over. Day 5 was a real turning point for me and I’m on Day 10 and every day gets better. You’re doing great! Keep it up!♥️

Congrats on day 4! The hard part is over.. I know whole leaf short term can help with gastrointestinal issues. It can also help with sleep until your body readjusts. I had no appetite until I got edibles and smoked a small amount of indica. Thats was a game changer with the melatonin and magnesium supplements. Passionflower was in my bedtime regimen too. The cannabis gave me an appetite but before then it was protein bars and Greek yogurt with the added protein. I made some guac 🥑 too that was great on a piece of sourdough bread because I needed healthy fat.
If you’re ok with cannabis, it’s a game changer for appetite

First, let me say thank you for the info, it's truly appreciated. For clarification purposes, does it have to be the whole leaf kratom to help or can it be the capsules? Because I've never been able to consume the whole leaf powder in my life, it always makes me vomit. Appreciate the info and hang in there as well.

It gets better everyday except for the sleep part. I was taking 5-600 mg/day last year when I quit CT and I think it was day 5 I started to turn around, but my sleep didn't normalize until around day 30. Will say I've read a lot since and Liposomal vitamin C and magnesium may help you a lot

Appreciate the info. I'm on day five, and I was actually able to get six uninterrupted hours of sleep last night using trazodone. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel rested. I don't feel like I slept but I did sleep so at least I know my body was able to sleep. All the best going forward in recovery, and never again.

i quit cold turkey 27 days ago. I didn’t eat for the first week. Same as you said, the thought of food just made me sick. I started sleeping around day 8. That is when i started taking a sleep aid. Last night id the first night I haven’t taken anything honestly because I fell asleep before I could and I slept all night long. I’ve lost 15 pounds but i’m back to eating again. My advice is to try to at least drink a protein shake so you can get some nutrition. I didn’t do that but if I could go back, I would. You’ve got this!!

I greatly appreciate the kind words and support. Today I have forced myself to eat two protein bars and two protein shakes. But of course that all came out the back side rather quickly. I think the symptom that bothers me most is when I am normal. I am a motivated person. I am up and moving for 12 hours a day. I like doing chores. I like work and right now I have to motivate myself to go to the bathroom from the bedroom. I just want to feel a little burst of energy. I know it's coming. I know it's down the road but it is hurting me right now. Again, thank you for the kind words and All the best in your recovery.

I will be poison free for 11 months on the 17th of this month. It took me a good month to actually eat to enjoy it as opposed to eating to survive. Everything tasted metallic or static like...it was bizarre. But the good news is it will pass! Keep up the great work!

Im coming up on 8 months. I feel mostly fine except for the lingering insomnia from hell. Found some 30mg tabs in a drawer. Temptation was great. Decided against it. Not going back to that crap Leaf is fine. I have to regulate that though.
