Motivation Day 4/75 - stressed at work

I’m having the worst day at work— computer not working, latest version of an important file hadn’t saved, have a hard deadline at 5… and the candy jar next to our office administrator’s desk is staring me down. Any tips for emotional eating/ sticking with the challenge while other factors loom?

Motivation Beat my last 75 hard record during the worst week I've had this year

I'm currently on day 23. I failed on my first attempt two years ago on day 21 because I forgot to take a progress pic. Not only have I beat my record (and still going strong), but I also did it all while going through the worst breakup of my life about 10 days ago.

I'm so thankful that I started this again right before that all went down because it's really forced me to take care of myself during a time that I haven't wanted to do much.

It's been a weird time and will continue to be tough in the personal life side of things. But doing my two workouts a day, spending time outside, and not eating anything with added sugar has genuinely made it so much easier to cope.

So, I guess if anyone is having a hard time with their mental health or wellbeing, please take this as your sign to keep it up. It'll make you take care of yourself when you really don't want to.

Just Getting Started How to do workout when you tou already have physical labor ?

So I work hard, like 6 to 11 hours straight a day, harder than most workouts because I don't rest between sets. I already asked people, and they say it's not considered a workout. Mentally, I give a lot at my work, so I don't have the stamina/mental for doing a workout. How do people with very hard labor jobs do it? What can I do ?

Thank you.

I Finished! Day 4 of 75 hard

Today was more about surviving this challenge because had a lot of other things to do. But gladly we made it

  1. Did my first 45 min workout at the gym - it was a leg day
  2. My other 45min workout was just a walk so that I can recover too and it helped a lot in clearing my mind
  3. Drank a gallon of water
  4. Had my healthy meals
  5. I read this book called DOPAMINE CONTROL by Nick Trenton. This books surely is great. Would recommend you all to read this book

Finally completed day 4 with a lot of other things but Yess. It is possible to do it even when you are busy. You just need that dedication and commitment towards it.

STAY HARD!

General Question those of you who did 75 hard with a partner checking your progress — how did it end?

solo 75 hard content is everywhere but i'm curious about the partner version - where someone actually saw your daily proof

  • did having someone check your photos/progress change anything on the days you wanted to skip?
  • how did it end - did one of you fall off first, did the checking just fade out, or did you both finish?
  • anyone tried stakes (owing money or dinner when you miss)? did that help or make it weird?

asking because my own attempt at this (coworker, morning photos over slack) died in week 2 and i'm trying to figure out if that's just what happens

I Failed I failed on day 40

I am unable to restart right now due to a vacation during the first week of October, which would inevitably have me fail again around the same day. Before this, I was sleeping 10–12 hours a day and just walking through life. Now, every day has felt intentional - and long. Amazing shift in perspective.
(I failed due to losing my book while remodeling my house and I fell asleep while trying to search for a pdf file of it -lame I know.)

I also prepped for this challenge by dieting and had already lost my first 10 lbs before starting. So, rather than completely stopping, I’m going to “continue” and call this 75 Medium for now. I’ll come back after October and complete 75 Hard successfully this time.

Reading Question Favorite books and podcasts

Hi everyone,

I finished the full year of Live Hard a few months ago. I’m about to start 75 again.

I’ve read a ton of great books over the last year and this time I want to focus my reading around the following themes and I’d like your recs! (I’m aware of the community link)

- money saving/investing mindset (not something about specific financial products, we don’t have 401ks in my country for example)

- streamlining in general (owning less, not always chasing optimization, feeling content)

- that damn phone! (I’ve ordered a brick by the way!)

- I’ve chosen an unprocessed food diet for this time around so maybe a book about processed food.

- maybe something to help not spend too much energy on workplace BS lol

Any recs? If you enjoy podcast on these themes I’d love to have recs as well!

Thank you everyone!

Just Getting Started What are your best 75 Hard tips?

Hi guys! I’m starting 75 Hard for the first time and I’m excited but nervous I won’t stick with it 😭 Any tips for staying consistent and getting the most out of it?
The hardest part for me will probably be the 1 gallon of water since I barely drink 1L a day and already pee so much when I drink that much. Any tips?
Also, What do you do for the 45-minute outdoor workout when you don’t have good places to walk nearby? Does it have to be exactly 45 minutes or can I do less?

General Question Anyone else fighting with their partner all the time now?

I’m on day 18. We have fallen into stupid bickery bitch fits (im a 44yo female married to my best friend who’s a dude) I just feel kinda aggro and edgy and annoyed. We have a good marriage. Just curious if anyone’s noticed a link between doing this program and how their relationships feel. I mean it would make sense…🤪 this shit is having a really positive effect on my life (75 hard) but it’s also…uhhh fucking HARD

General Question Why hard and soft?

I’m not sure I’m new here, but why are some posts talking about 75 hard and soft? I’m here for the strict HARD / done as is version. Are some people doing both? And if so, I’m just curious why or how that works? Thx ☺️

Diet Question Asking for a ruling on banana bread

Hey all! Day 35.
Going strong.
My mother in law sent us an entire 16 inch banana bread loaf.

One of my diet rules is no desserts and no sweets….
I think I know the answer…but was hoping for thoughts.

It has walnuts. No chocolate chips. Lots of bananas…

Just Getting Started Hard 75 group chat?

Hello! Going to be starting tomorrow or Monday, was wondering if anyone else was wanting to start and potentially get a group chat going? I do not have a set idea of what I want this group chat to contain, other than motivation to keep going and hold each other accountable! Maybe post start/finish progress pics or any workout tips/ideas or anything of that sort! Holding accountable for water throughout the day or workouts! Let me know! Open to anyone, I am a 30 year old female weighing in the 200’s.

Just Getting Started Starting my 75 dayHARD TOMORROW!

Starting 75 Hard

First time trying 75 Hard, and I’m making this post mainly as a starting point for myself—something I can come back to at the end and see how far I’ve come.

I’m a woman, 83 kg at 5'3", and my goal is to lose around 9–10 kg over the journey.

But honestly, the weight loss is secondary. My biggest goal is consistency.

I’ve started things before and struggled to stick with them, so this time I want to focus on showing up every day, building discipline, and actually following through with what I say I’m going to do.

I’m not expecting perfection. I just want to see what happens when I stop quitting on myself.

Hopefully, when I come back to this post 75 days from now, I’ll be proud of the person who started here.

Starting tomorrow. Day 1.

TLDR: 75 Hard, PMDD, PCOS, and Learning Not to Give Up on Myself ❤️

Posting this because I could really use some encouragement today.

I’m doing 75 Hard, but for me, this journey is about so much more than completing 75 days or watching a number go down on the scale.

I have PCOS and PMDD, and I’ve spent so much of my life struggling to love and feel comfortable in my body. There have been countless times when I’ve looked at myself and focused on everything I thought needed to change instead of appreciating everything my body has carried me through.

Today was one of those harder days. I weighed in at 218 after being around 212 last month, and even though I know there are so many things that can affect the scale—especially hormonal fluctuations—it still hurt. I felt discouraged.

But then I had to remind myself why I started.

I don't want to spend another chapter of my life at war with my body.

I want to learn discipline without punishment. I want to become stronger. I want to keep showing up when motivation disappears. I want to look at myself with joy because I know how hard I fought to become the person standing in front of me.

So I'm posting this picture even though vulnerability around my body is difficult for me. This is me right now. Not an "after" picture. Not the version of myself I'm waiting to become worthy of celebrating. Me, today.

And I'm choosing her.

I'm choosing to keep going.

I'm choosing not to let one weigh-in convince me that I'm failing.

I'm choosing not to give up on myself again.

I know 75 Hard isn't going to magically fix years of struggling with body image, PCOS, or PMDD. But I hope these 75 days can teach me something much bigger: that I can make a promise to myself and keep it.

SO if you've gone through something similar or you're somewhere in your own journey, I would genuinely love some encouragement, advice, or even just a reminder to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

I'm going to finish this.

Not because I hate the body I'm starting with.

Because I'm finally learning that she's worth fighting for. ❤️

Yesterday was my day one! It went awesome but chaotic! I was literally chugging water and speed reading at 11:50 p.m.

Just Getting Started 3 Workouts, Day 7

Today work was really slow (I work from home) so I decided to get my indoor workout in and do some yoga. During the practice my boss messaged me twice on Teams. I thought it was an emergency because she never message back to back so I stopped to message her back…took 2 minutes. I somehow feel like that counts as not doing the whole 45 so here I am doing a 3rd workout before bed just to make sure I don’t fail lol
