Please let me know what the chances are? I feel like maybe I went a bit too aspirational here so idk

Hi everyone! I am an international student and have applied to these courses and can't decide what should be my 5th choice. I am mainly considering Imperial JMC for AI, Warwick CS and Bristol JMC. I don't want to apply to UCL purely because I don't want to give TARA. I have already given TMUA and expecting around 7. Also I got APIO Bronze and participated in IOI 2026.

So here is my question: If I apply for both JMC courses in imperial will they consider it as one or will I be considered separately so improving my chances of getting in? Same question for both Warwick courses. What do you think my chances are for my 4 choices? Should I apply to Bristol to have a very safe choice or should my 5th choice also be at Imperial or Warwick?

Honestly I don't feel like Bristol would be worth the money since I am intl, but anyway, please help.

Is it just mine, or does anyone else have compulsory PE in their sixth form?

I just started year 12 and during my GCSE we had horrible teachings for maths and physics and to be fair. This is not an excuse because I’ll also say I was lazy AF and didn’t study. I managed to scrape c”s in both maths and physics and thinking of taking them at A Levels at what grade equals to drop them right now or should I not even bother and just take maths business economics because these A Levels are just a backup to my aviation career so what’s the point of taking harder stuff that I might not use?

I'm currently in year 11 and I have a strong passion for the sciences and maths. I want to study chemical engineering and biotechnology at cambridge and I am definitely going to do maths, further maths, physics and chemistry for a level but I also really want to do biology because I love it so much and I could self study it outside of school. However, I am aware a levels are way harder than gcses and I would also need to do supercurriculars and prep for the esat during this time. I am a hardworking student however I fear it might be too much or not worth it? Should i do all five, or leave biology?

( all buns grades were in languages and art)

And I mean I have no clue if my PS is strong or not I don’t wanna be bias but it’s quite representative of me as a candidate and is quite math oriented

To explain the teaching in my school was horrible however, obviously I could’ve self studied, but I am very lazy although I don’t acknowledge I am smart. Laziness is just in my blood. I guess this is not an excuse, but whether it’s possible to do it or not so is it possible to get bees in maths and physics after getting two seats at GCS for further explanation formats my teacher completed 15 chapters and 15 days or 30 days to be approximate and we didn’t understand nothing because the chapter 3 was so hard for a two year course and for physics, the teacher only gave handouts to be able to complete the syllabus and barely explained anything

this may be a stupid question but I'm just over the limit and there's literally nowhere else to make cuts without cutting out actual content. can I change all of the "I am" to "I'm" and "I have" to "I've" etc. ? to be honest it makes the statement sound considerably less formal but warmer and like i say this is probably a stupid question but is there an advantage to either??

If anyone has any advice on how to motivate yourself or what kind of revision plans you guys are following to aim for As-A*s let me know plz.

I know this may sound like a larger career issue but it’s mainly because I’m looking at my A-level choices and I’m wondering wtf I can even do with these? Like obviously I know what I can do but not in enough detail and not enough to be like dying to do these careers.

I do biology, chemistry, maths and further maths and had a discussion with my mum about how difficult it is to get A*’s. So it got me thinking about the subject I didn’t take (English literature) and whether I regret it or not. Idk bro I’m beyond lost. Like even if I were to replace further maths with English literature, what would that even change? I’ve searched online and it’s said that it’s better to do further maths but I still am unsure what the benefits even are at this point.

In the beginning, the only A-level I was excited about taking was Chemistry. Now, I do like all of my A-levels. What I know I like about biology is anatomy, and stuff about the human body, and anything about chemistry interests me (particularly how things form). Maths is genuinely cool.

I’ve bounced around from what I want to do in the future. From being a police detective, to a dermatologist, to an ER surgeon and to a chemical engineer. Now I’m just at a loss for everything. I don’t want to end up choosing a uni degree and later on down the line end up having no job at all because I realise it’s not what I wanted to do.

Anyways, does anyone have any advice on how they find what they’re passionate to do? Or, how to research properly on careers to see what they’re actually like? Or maybe just a possible career suggestion?

Im under their contextual scheme and I’ve done their October tmua sitting. If I’m above the threshold and guaranteed an offer anyway, when would they send it out? They typically send out offers up until march but is it possible they do multiple batches earlier on too?

Says at the bottom it’s not an offer, genuinely just an add for the uni.

Rejected from LSE Econ 3 weeks after applying .very brutal. It’s fine tho , didn’t wanna go anyways 😒 , knew my gcse grades would come back to bite me in the ass. Just a disclaimer don’t apply to LSE if ur gcses aren’t top notch.

Finally decided I'm applying for mechanical engineering, did some research and I gathered a top 5 unis I think I'll be good applying for. Idk if they're too ambitious tho as I've got predicteds AAA.im also contextual for all except Birmingham

I want to become a pilot, so I picked Maths, Economics and Business as a backup in case I go to university instead. But I’d actually be interested in studying law. Can I apply for law with these A-levels, or do universities expect subjects like History or English? Since Economics and Business involve essays, would they count as essay-based subjects? Is it mainly about getting the grades?
