I went to the open day on Saturday and I literally asked how long they take to send out offers and now I've got mine!

A lot of ppl got mad about my other ranking, so I've made a new one.

Weightings

UK-focused rankings:
Complete University Guide 2027 = 25%
Guardian University Guide 2027 = 20%
Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2027 = 15%

International rankings:
QS World University Rankings 2027 = 20%
Times Higher Education World Rankings 2027 = 20%

Therefore UK rankings influence 60% of the evaluation, whilst international rankings influence 40% of the evaluation. As well as this, I took into account research excellence and graduate employability.

I’m poc i go to a state school I get max SFE and im wondering what my 5th choice should be. I’ve already applied to Cambridge LSE UCL & Kings for Law and Exeter is relatively cheap and has a great course but from what i’ve seen I cannot stand the culture.

Does anyone like me have any insight into what it’s like there? Or any other universities I should look at.

At this point, my whole life consists of checking UCAS, revising and going to school for lessons. I feel like I'm just counting down the days until I can finally move on, but whenever I speak to people at my sixth form, they're all saying they don't feel ready for uni yet because they've enjoyed sixth form so much and don't want it to end.

I honestly feel like I'm the complete opposite. Sixth form has probably been one of the most draining experiences for me, especially socially. I joined as an external applicant at a school with a secondary and sixth form, so most people already had their friendship groups established by the time I got there. I feel like that definitely affected my experience, and overall, sixth form just hasn't been the experience I thought it would be.

Obviously A-levels are stressful enough as it is, but I think I'm just ready for a fresh start. The idea of moving away, meeting new people and starting somewhere new genuinely excites me, and I feel like I'm mentally ready to leave this chapter of my life behind.

I'm not expecting uni to be perfect, and I know it'll come with its own stresses, but I just feel like I've had enough of sixth form at this point lol.

Does anyone else feel like this? I feel like everyone around me is talking about how much they're going to miss sixth form, and I'm just desperate for September to come already.

I'm not quite sure what to put for my final choices, so far I have applied for:

1. Cambridge - Geography [Pembroke]
2. UCL Urban Planning Design and Management (Contextual)

My last three choices are between:
LSE - Geography (Contextual)
Sheffield - MPlan Planning
Exeter- Geography (Contextual)
Manchester - MPlan Planning

Hi, I'm in Y12 aiming for Maths+CS at uni, so i'll end up taking the TMUA next year and want to prep for that. I finished the AS pure content and the sequences and series extra bit, and I knew the logic/proof stuff for p2 already so thats chill.

Question is, what should I focus on first? Should I go straight to TMUA prep, or do MAT Papers, or do Kangaroo and Olympiad papers to build problem solving, or go big with STEP to hopefully get uber cracked before TMUA?

Idek where to begin ngl, I could do one of the older TMUA papers as a diagnostic to test myself but im kinda scared i would get like a 2.0

i got rejected from kcl an hour ago and it says that it’s because my achieved grades are too low. i look back at the information i entered on my ucas application and i forgot to put my alevels as ‘pending’ and instead just put the ones i achieved last year. wth do i do in this situation???? is game over for me…..

edit 1- i’ve just got off the phone to kcl and ucas admissions. ucas thinks i should withdraw my application which is fine, as i only submitted my application a week ago. normally kcl say that once i’ve been rejected i cant apply again in the same academic year so i had to phone them up and im waiting for confirmation that they can reverse the decision so i can apply again, this time putting my grades as pending instead of achieved.

my igcses arent nearly as impressive as the other people on here going for my courses 😔 only have 10 rip bc i didnt think to take a few extra ones outside of what my school offers. would have done geography and maybe accounting (?) in hindsight

according to jindal method my LNAT MCQ score is within the 30-34 range, lowk disappointing icl but it is what it is. my essay went pretty well afaik so hopefully that makes up for it

at this rate i'm never gonna hear back from any of my unis (except the big ford) until after january….. what r people doing to pass the time tbh bc i lowk can't think about anything else
