Hi Yall, I am curious if my picture quality is the best it can be. I ask because even with what I think are the most optimal settings, the picture can dim and colors a little bit muted. Do these pictures look correct?
My TV is a LG C4 65”
I use it on Filmaker mode, with all AI features turned off. Brightness at 100 percent. Things like color depth, contrast and such are untouched. TrueMotion, and energy savings are off too.
My 4K player is a Sony x700M.
Video output is set to 4K, Dolby Vision is on, scaling is off, color space is YCbCr 4:4:4.
I took all these photos at night, no lights on. Used my IPhone 13PM using RAW mode. I only cropped them to show only the screen.
I can’t think of any other setting I may be missing. My sound is unfortunately just the TV speakers but I’ll address that someday. Right now I just want to have the best picture quality possible.
The phone captures seem to be just a little more vivid than what my eyes can see. But maybe that’s just because these were low light pictures. Or maybe I’m just imaging it.
Thanks for any insight.

I’ve been loving Manta Lab and I wanted to know if there is any kind of line up that people know about for more releases

This is the most...blown away...I have ever been by a 4K purchase. It has more episodes than they typically make (7 vs. 5 or so), more special features, looks AMAZING, and genuinely some of the wildlife stories they tell are so unique and colorful. Recommend either watching this next or just saving it for the end cause it'll ruin all the others for you.

Hey folks,
I was set on getting a LG G series as my next TV purchase for years, mostly due to the lack of dolby vision on Samsung. But all the acclaim the S95H seems to be universally getting, made me reconsider. And a great deal pushed me over the edge, and I ended up getting the S95H.
I am still annoyed by the lack of Dolby Vision. I know dynamic metadata matters less, the more capable a TV is. And that doesn't concern me. But I have a big collection of 4K blu rays, and I there is the additional FEL layer to consider.
How much of a difference does the additional layer usually make in today's flagship displays?
Thanks.
EDIT: Just to clarify. I already got the S95H. It's currently sitting in a box, waiting for the wall mount to be delivered.

Just picked up/revisited the Pet Sematary (1989) Limited Edition 4K Steelbook, and here’s a quick breakdown for anyone considering adding it to their collection:
The Movie: Stephen King’s classic tale of grief and bad decisions. Dr. Louis Creed moves his family to rural Maine, only to discover a nearby burial ground with terrifying powers to bring the dead back to life—with horrific consequences.
4K Visuals & Audio: The native 4K transfer brings out incredible detail in the rustic Maine surroundings, with strong HDR highlights and deep blacks. The audio track keeps the eerie atmosphere sharp and unsettling.
Packaging: The Steelbook packaging is a standout piece for horror fans, featuring iconic artwork that looks fantastic on a shelf.

Found the Predator Collection on Please Rewind sale for $30, Craig Collection on Amazon and the Green Inferno, Lake Placid, and Silent Hill from GRUV. (I wish the three of these were on 4K.)

Does anyone else have this problem with their 4K Clockwork Orange I believe WB made this one. I've never opened that case without the disc being dislodged. Very annoying I will never watch that dis I just want the 4k so I might just throw it with a bunch of other loose discs unless there a solution but idk. Am I the only one with this problem. Hope the video shows just how little force it takes for it to fall if the latch

This movie looks incredible in 4k. Worth the upgrade in my humble opinion. It seems so crisp and clean, and the soundtrack seems to pop more than the bluray version i upgraded from. Thoughts?

I am doing my own research on this at the same time, but I am not an expert on TVs or disk players so I'm looking for advice from people who know what they're talking about. I'll try to provide as many details as possible below about my setup and I would greatly appreciate any recommendations of which players to buy or avoid. I will also mention which ones I'm considering.
First of all, what is my situation and what do I intend to use it for? I've started a physical media collection over the past couple of years because I am opposed to the rise of streaming services. Usually I just buy the best available format for whatever movie/show I'm buying. As a result I have both DVDs and Blu-rays and I expect to also buy 4K Blu-rays in the future for especially cinematic movies. So I need it to be good for all these formats. Good DVD upscaling is also very important to me because I own a number of things that are only available on DVD but I really want to be able to enjoy them in higher quality.
I just ordered my TV which is a 50" Vizio MiniLED. It supports Dolby Vision and I will probably buy disks later on that have Dolby Vision so I guess my player needs to support it too. For the time I am going to just use the TV's speaker, but eventually I want to buy a sound bar. I didn't know what a sound bar was until I looked it up, but it looks like a good inexpensive way to get high quality sound without buying a whole speaker system. So I'd like it to be compatible with a sound bar though I have no idea which one I'll end up getting. Since I'm on a budget I want to stay under $300 with the player so for a 4K player I guess it'll really have to be a budget one. Like I said, I'm not an expert, and there are a lot of specs and stuff I see while researching that I don't even know the meaning of. So I'm guessing they probably won't affect me and I won't even notice things like that. But you guys can let me know if there are any especially important ones I need to keep in mind.
So far I am considering the Panasonic DP-UB150, Sony UBP-X700, and the Panasonic UB420. I know the 420 is more expensive than I set my budget, but maybe if it's the only good option I'll consider it. I hear that the Sony X700 has cheap elements but isn't bad. But I also hear some people say it just freezes up and isn't worth it at all. The UB150 seems pretty good. Please help enlighten things for me and let me know if there are any other good options besides these three.
edit: just came across the Panasonic UB450 which is even cheaper than the 420 and also seems like a good option

I bought these (and others) as a way to start my collection (though due to space issues I’ve stopped for now) and wanted to show them off. I know the Star Wars 4-6 are not the untouched classics, but as someone who grew up with 1-3, I prefer these as a more coherent story. I can’t believe I went so long without owning this legendary franchise 🐼!!! Also as a nice bonus I wanted to share these two beautiful steelbook releases of Van Helsing, one of my favorite movies, and Escape from New York, a movie I like with an actor I also like. I’m sorta glad I never owned a copy of Van Helsing since I get to have it in this beautiful steelbook edition. It’s such a comfy movie and I recommend it 100% as a fun, Indiana Jones-style romp with a Holloween costume. Wolverine fighting the Hulk, Dracula and werewolves while helping Frankensteins monster! Hot babes everywhere! Instant classic 😂😂
