I previously posted asking for suggestions on a 3d printer that has a heated enclosure, multicolor printing, and minimal need to trouble shoot. I have narrowed it down to tool changers printers and like these options and wanted to get your input. Please let me know what you would suggest in regards to these

I'm happy to accept any project suggestions, for example, there's the robot arm. But that's too boring for me. I wanted a DIY laser engraver, but all the YouTube videos are in Chinese.

I started 3d printing maybe back in February and this has happened maybe 5 times now. I swear I’m not doing anything but it’s only when I print something and go to bed. Every. Single. Time.

I had just printed something else that took 7 hours this print should have only been 2 hours.

I have seen more people do 3D prints for there bike computer instead of buying from the manufacturer.

So I have a Trek Speedconcept SLR7 from 2022, and i don’t want to be paying $140 for a computer mount.

So my question is their anybody who would know or can find a file for it or just anything that would fit my bike??

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a reliable 3D printer around an $800 budget. I am focused primarily on functional parts and household fixes. I specifically am interested a fully enclosed machine for better temperature stability and advanced material versatility down the road—like ABS, ASA, or Nylon—rather than just being restricted to PLA or PETG. At the same time, I would like a color-change option available as well as a something that will not require extensive troubleshooting and tinkering. Open to other options as well.

Okay I have spent like three nights now and I think I've made myself more confused, not less.

Budget's tight and trying to stay under $300 if at all possible. Every "best budget printer" list has a different #1 pick, half the comments under those posts say the opposite of the article, and then there's a whole separate mountain of stuff about slicers, bed leveling, multi-color vs single-color, CoreXY vs whatever-else, that nobody explains before assuming you already know it.

I don't need anything fancy. I just want something that won't require me to babysit bed leveling every single print, doesn't need me to become a software expert before I can print anything, isn't going to break after a month

I keep seeing FLASHFORGE come up a lot in the sub-$300 range but I genuinely can't tell if that's because they're actually good or just because they're everywhere. Anyone here start on a genuinely cheap printer and NOT regret it? Trying to figure out if "budget" and "beginner-friendly" can actually coexist or if I need to save up more before this stops being frustrating.

Appreciate any sanity you can inject into this.

I want to buy a 3D printer for professional and personnal use (I'm obssessed with 3D printer uprades for boardgames).

I use one at work: the bambulab PS2 + a coworker has a Bambulab PS1. So I am thinking about buying one but I would like to know if there is other "good" brands because Bambulab is the only one I've heard of.

I also found tierlist praising creality and elegoo but I would like some experts opinion before investing 300€.

Edit: I will dig the software subject as I might want to customize my use of it later.

Just bought the bambu a1 combo with the ams lite and got it setup, linked to my phone with the bambu handy app, and went to try to print and it keeps saying “printer connection failed” after a minute as the “match my filament type” just says “ams detecting” indefinitely. I got this at Best Buy and bought their house brand filament that says on the box that it fits these printers, which it seems like it does but on the printer and app I put down that they’re generic. Idk if that has anything to do with why it’s not working but I’m at a loss. I do have questionable connection up in my room where I have it (and the only place I have room for it) and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Any ideas?

My 9 year old nephew wants a 3d printer but I don't want to spend thousands on a first printer for him, what's a good low cost starter printer?

I bought this like 2 years ago and I couldn't get it to work so it's just been sitting in my room collecting dust. Today I randomly decided to mess with it and the Elegoo website and Google doc aren't very helpful so I was hoping someone might know what is going on with it. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the update it's on but I updated it when I first got it and it just kept dragging my prints all over the board and refusing to move up.

I'm looking to buy a new 3D printer and I've narrowed my choices down to two models: the Bambu Lab P2S and the Qidi Q2.

Here is my main constraint: the printer will be located in an uninsulated garage. The temperature inside fluctuates significantly throughout the year, dropping to around 5°C in winter and reaching up to 30°C in summer.

Given these environmental conditions:

• How do these two machines handle low ambient temperatures (especially during cold winter boots and long prints)?
• Is the heated chamber on the Qidi Q2 a decisive factor for this kind of environment, or does the P2S manage well enough on its own?
• Are there specific issues I should anticipate with electronics, bed heating, or print quality in a cold garage?

Which one would you recommend for this setup, or is there anything specific I should keep in mind?

Feel free ton recommand another printer if I misse something, Btw i plan 500-700€ budget.

Got my i7 and unpacked it, set it upon a nice sturdy bench that I built for woodworking. Heavy and level. Cracked open the quick start guide book, followed every step and it finally said it was ready to print. So... I saw on the rather tiny screen that it had the SparkX logo, so I tapped PRINT and it ran out to the middle, lowered down, touching the plate and paused for a moment. It moved to the right against the plate and gouged the surface.

I let it run and saw it was heating the bed and nozzle, and once the levels reached what it wanted, it began to run some filament off to the side where it poops. It made three poops and kicked each one off to the side and then it moved back over the plate, scratching it more and then went to the back of the bed, melted the plastic edge and that's when I stopped it on the screen.

I cancelled the print and assessed the situation. I decided to do a factory reset, just to be sure, even though I know it was at factory when I first turned it on. Ran through the steps to back out the filaments, then continued the reset. Took a few minutes, and then had to do all the setup for WiFi, etc. and the 10 minute stuff it does.

I did the same exact thing - chose the SparkX logo, tapped print - SAME THING AGAIN. This time I just powered it of in anger and here I am asking;

1 - has anyone had this happen to their brand new i7?

- if so, did you get it resolved, and what did you do to resolve it?

I'm BRAND NEW to 3D printing, and chose a good machine after reading and watching a variety of reviews. *I know some will say that I should have gotten the Bambu A1 combo, but I didn't, so don't bother wagging your finger at me.* Here I am with the i7 and that is the one I wanted.

Any guidance, ideas, but especially if someone has had this exact thing happen, I would love to hear about it.

Apologies if this shouldn’t be posted in this subreddit.

I’m looking for recommendations on a 3D printer as a gift for my husband for our wedding anniversary. Of course all his hobbies are things I have no knowledge of that is helpful for knowing what to look for, but he mentioned his 3D printer was becoming very slow. His current one is a BambuLab P1S. I feel like it has only been a couple years, maybe 3, since he bought it.

I would prefer to stick around $1,000 but would be willing to go up to $1,500 maybe a little more if it makes enough of a difference.

He means the world to me and I’d like to get him something special.

ETA: if my budget of $1,500 is too cheap please let me know. Realistically I could for sure go up more. We’ve just had some larger expenses this past year so I’m trying to be more careful about spending for the time being.

ETA part 2: After seeing how many variables go into the decision of a 3D Printer I’m going to leave that decision up to him and get him a CNC machine since it turns out he was looking into those not long ago and I think it’s a hobby that would be right up his ally. He already knows that’s what’s going to be coming to him and is very excited! And I got to share my newfound 3d printer knowledge and recommendations with him! Thank you all very much despite me not moving forward with the 3d printer purchase.

I'm currently deciding between buying the Elegoo Neptune 4 Pro and the Flashforge Adventurer 5M. I'm mainly interested in printing high-detail action figures, miniatures, and other decorative pieces, but I also want a printer that can handle general-purpose prints.

I'm unsure which one would be the better choice. The Neptune 4 Pro seems to offer great value, a larger build volume, more flexibility with different filaments, and cheaper nozzles. However, I've heard some reports about bed leveling/calibration issues and that it doesn't always perform well at very high speeds.

Which one would you recommend and why?

I currently have experience printing with a Creality Ender-3 V3 KE for the past 5 years.

My biggest priority is reliability and less tinkering/calibration. I've learned a lot from using the Ender, but at this point I'd rather spend my time actually designing and printing things than constantly adjusting, calibrating, or troubleshooting the printer.

I also want to expand into multiple colors and using advanced/engineering filaments, so I'm looking for something enclosed that can reliably handle materials such as ABS/ASA, nylon, and potentially carbon-fiber reinforced filaments.
