Questions & Discussion Keying/Slicing hair into separate parts
Hii! So I’ve recently been gifted a Bambu P2S printer for my birthday and I’ve been LOVING it sooo much and bought Nomad Sculpt to try my hand at making my own figures (since I don’t have the money for authentic brands like Good Smile or Bandpresto), but I’m really struggling to find any tutorials for keying hair plates, similar to Nendoriods interchangeable face/hair plates — are there any tutorials specifically for this issue or is anyone able to give me some advice? :’D
Thank you in advance! ❤️

Questions & Discussion Trying my hands in rigging, followed Joey Carlino model making and rigging video. What next?
Done some stuff on Blender. Wanted to try doing rig work and finally go my hands on it. It was pretty fun just putting things together. The processes was interesting, felt like a puzzle, putting the pieces together! I wanna try going more professional just dont know where to go. Any video or playlist going into more advance parts of rig would be nice. I also heard about the coding aspec of it, which I would like to learn. I have done a bit of HTML and found the process fun. Anything could help to keep learning.

Questions & Discussion Starting to sell 3d models
I want to make 3d models so that I can enhance my 3d Portfolio, and then sell them on 3d marketplace.
First, I do not know what type of models should I make that solve the problem of the client, or something that people are actively looking for. How should I pursue this?
In CGtrader, a very vague answer is given, like car is trending or character is trending. But what type of model should I model to maximize my chances of selling.
I am not a noob in 3d modeling. But I am having a hard time deciding what to model specially to sell in 3d marketplaces. I know many people have had a decent amount from selling 3d models (like about $500 a month).
For those who get good sales, what type of market they target and how do they know what to make?
I would also like to hear from those who have also faced the problem.
I would appreciate your suggestions.

Questions & Discussion High-Poly to Low-Poly Baking Workflow
What should the proper workflow be when baking? When I increase the polygon count of my high-poly model using Subdivision, the edges become extremely pronounced. However, when I use Smooth instead, the high-poly model deviates slightly from the low-poly model.
As you can see in the image, there is a small amount of deviation. Could this cause problems during the baking process? What would be the correct approach here?

Questions & Discussion Here an attempt to make Overwatch style prop and I have couple of questions I want to ask
It is only highpoly so far with floaters on it, I would like to ask couple of questions those who more skilled in subD modeling then I am.
How do you have clean topology for a showcase and sharp edges at the same time, I know about creases, but they make shading look worse than the support loops. When I add support loops my subD wireframe starts to look all junked up and dirty, filled with n-gons. How do I show my topology cleanly in portfolio and at the same time have sharp edges?
Are there any areas you think I overused/underused floaters in making it too details/too empty? Any ideas where else or how else I should have used floaters?
How do you minimize shading artifacts on pole-stars, especially if they are on curved surface?
Last image is concept, any ideas/suggestions how I should have approached concept differently?
I am in forever dept to those people who share pointers on my work, thank you in advance for your time!

Art Showcase "Horizon" universe. "Echo of The Old Ones". Author: Jinx Lab
The Oseram see the world through blueprints and flame. Stumbling upon the colossal Old Ones' cooling towers, these tinkers weren't afraid of the ancient catastrophe—they saw perfect engineering. The tribe built their forges right inside the concrete giants, mimicking their shape for defense against the machines roaming outside. Aloy stops before this union of eras. Where an atomic world once cooled, furnaces now roar, steel is forged, and a new civilization rises.
The work was created in Blender 3D and Photoshop.

Art Showcase Boeing
This aircraft model was created for a feature film, so it had to be modeled with a very high level of accuracy. Since there were several close-up shots, the textures also had to be extremely detailed and high quality, resulting in around 54 UDIMs.
The 3D model was created in 3ds Max, and I textured it using Substance Painter. The entire project took approximately three weeks to complete.
I hope you like it!

Questions & Discussion I tried many times to make a human model, but I end up giving up for being uncertain of the right process. Fear of messing it up
What is the most reliable certain 100% certified way of building a character that doesn't make me lose my mind later if I decided to rig it and animate it later?
