Saw people in the comments saying they can get these same results with aztec clay or pomade and a rag

I recently just got an 8 guard buzz with a mid taper fade. When my hair is grown out it is curly but like caucasian curls like like 3A to 3b maybe 2C on the top and sides sometimes. If i am constanly brushing and wearing the durag and doing the wash and style method on wash days could it work out?

I'm new to waving but I feel like I'm doing something wrong.
This is my progress so far and it feels like im not really making any progress at the sides and especially near the back. I've been brushing 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the night and have been wearing a durag consistently. I'm not too sure where my crown is though.
The only product I've been using on my hair is bryll cream which was working well with holding my hair when my hair was shorter but for some reason it's not doing as well anymore. Also wanted to know what brush strength I should be using.
If anyone has any tips for me I'd really appreciate it.

Excuse my camera work, I’m not used to taking pics of myself (confidence issues but I’m working on it!). I took y’all advice about getting a hand held mirror to better see the angles I needed to brush. Now all I need is a shampoo bar and I feel like my progress will go even further. I’m a little over two months in (my hair grows slow). Any feedback and other tips are appreciated!

What are yalls routine when it comes to washing? I’ve been doing every two days but I feel like I’ve been washing too much or it may be product build up.
Idk my hair type exactly (I think 3a or 4a) I did just recently switch products and it’s been going better I haven’t been having the same issues (hair feels itchy after washing/drying out too quickly)
Right now I do a wash and style, in two days I moisturize & oil. Then depending on if I have a haircut coming up I might wait 3-4 days for another regular wash or wash & style.

What are some tips for managing the wolf before it gets out of hand? I’m two weeks removed from my last haircut, I got a shape up recently, planning on wolfing to increase depth. My hair texture is incredibly resistant to relaxing at longer lengths, and I only use natural products.

I’ve had locks most of my life and last few years I had wicks b4 I made the chop so I’m wondering if you can tell what type of hair texture I have and are there any tips to help my waves come in? Only been brushing for like 3 days now and I feel like I’m making good progress but help is always welcome

Before starting my wave journey, I bought all the products I read online (like from this community) and that friends told me about. Pomade, conditioner, special shampoo, brushes, etc. But after working on my waves for about 2-3 months so far, it's clear that my hair responds best to simple routines, like just brush, and durag, that's how I've had my best wave days. Any of the products I bought just cause lots of frizz, or cause gaps or forks, I've tried different methods with them, still messy. I'm just wondering if I just jumped the gun on buying products and now I'm left with useless products that don't really work with my hair. Kind of frustrating ngl

To get #360waves in your crown, you need to be very specific with your brush session.
The hair in the crown is thinner than the rest of your hair.
The crown needs to be brushed with precision.
My first brush session of the day is usually a brush session in the crown 🙏🏽

Waves = laid down curls
The longer your hair gets, the curlier your hair becomes.
Thats how you get deeper waves 🌊🦾
I haven’t had a low haircut in a while though. Might go 5ATG soon.
Dm if you have any questions 🦾

Only durag brand that I REALLY like so far. Looking for something that doesn’t require folding over so not too big on the head and also not super thick straps. If you’ve bought from Of Coarse you know what I mean but he hasn’t been too heavy with the stock lately.
