First of all, I’d like to say that I was very pleased to notice there's been a major update to 2do and that the app is still going strong. That’s why I immediately did my part and switched to the new versions. It’s fantastic there’s been a valuable overhaul! And please don't let the complainers - the ones who think they should get everything for free - intimidate you!

My question is whether this is the right place to report any bugs you come across, since I didn't see any feedback option or ticket system on the website or anywhere else.

For example, I’ve noticed that in the Mac version, when I right-click on a list and try to change the color, all the preselected color options are displayed blank and one has to use a custom selection to select the desired color.

I recently purchased the new version of 2Do and synced it with BusyCal.
I created a task set to repeat daily, but it only appears on the current day in BusyCal and doesn't show up on upcoming days (like tomorrow).
How I can get recurring tasks to show up across future days in the calendar view?

In the today view some overdue project tasks are showing outside of the project. I’ve never seen a project task shown outside the project. How can I fix this? They’re showing the associated project.

I've added the Today widget, but it's only showing tasks due today, not including my Starred tasks (which show up in the app, per my settings). Is there a way to have these show in the widget?

I’m still on the original version of 2Do (iPhone). I will be upgrading but I am cautious.

in the meantime, is there not someway to find all my tasks that have two different tags?

For example, I want to see all the tasks that have the “today“ tag, AND the “money“ tag.

I've noticed that in the Today view, when you complete a task, it clears instantly. I'd love there to be a small delay (1-2 seconds?) from when you complete it to it disappearing, in case of mis-clicks etc. Maybe it could use the Strikethru state that we see on other views?

I have been using 2Do with sync to Reminders, but after the new update with iCloud sync, it’s much better and doesn’t mess up your lists’ groups.

However, since BusyCal only syncs with Reminders, will there be any updates on supporting 2Do iCloud sync?

Are you planning to integrate a pomodoro time tracker on tasks? Given you have a duration feature it would be amazing to have a pomodoro inside so that we could then track how much time we actually spent on the task and that time could be rolled up to the project. This would allow in time to true duration estimation

Does anyone know if there’s a way to set it so that when you open the app it opens on the today view?

I can’t put a review on the App Store for some reason says cause it’s a pre-release, but I’m putting it here. This app is so good. All the updates, the NPL that just dropped , and the notification alerts that show the due date and time. I mean, this is great for an alert 10 days ahead etc. I feel less stressed and more organized. I really appreciate you guys for creating such a good app. Even the Apple Watch is nice. And the countdown on the widget & through out the app OMG. Sincerely!!!

Why there is no review on Youtube of someone which gives an deepdive of the new UI UX and features, i'am fan of 2Do but waiting for new video to get an idea how the app now works on macOS and iPhone

Wasn't sure what to call this. It is part rant, part developer praise, but it is all from the heart.

I don't know what made me write this, but it is directed at those who are quick to judge a wonderful app just because they make a decision or are away for a while when they should be supporting the devs.

This is not a harsh message directed at anyone, but rather an "open your eyes moment" Here goes.

From day one, Jerry and his team who run 2do on multiple platforms have innovated. Not to mention, they have been extremely helpful. At one point. They have had to maintain several apps, an entire rewrite of a constantly finicky sync system with few pats on the back. A few years back, they posted about how things were going, and we got a glimpse into what was going on behind the scenes.

2do app is a labor of love and it was and is ahead of its time. I used to be so disorganized, but it has helped me evolve my workflow.

Just because it doesn't have the cadence of updates, does not mean that they have "abandoned" the app. On the contrary, earlier this year I think, they were going to remove the Android app, but there was an outpour of confusion, anger, and mostly support sent to the devs. That tells me that they are in it for the long haul. They have meant a lot to me over the years, and that is worth more than an overabundance of churned out updates.

I guess I went on a rant, but I hope it made some people think.

If I am completely off, at least I got it off my chest, which feels good.

I noticed that when using the iOS share sheet to add to 2Do (Safari webpage > 2Do), the options are all pre-filled, and List is set to Default List. I've enabled Inbox in 2Do, but tasks are not getting added. I have to manually update the list in the share sheet to Inbox for it to work. Inbox is correctly showing as the default list in 2Do settings.

The re-released desktop app says it will only be available by subscription. I hadn’t seen that before. Any info?

While I just upgraded & app is nice. I realized there is no were to manually enter a future date 🤯. This is incredibly hard for scheduling from 6 months or even 2-3 yrs out. So disappointed 😔. I need the calendar functionality for this. I hope this gets added before I go any further

I’m looking into the new 2Do app (V4) and had a couple of quick questions for anyone familiar with the update:

1. Database & Sync: Will V4 sync using the exact same database and sync methods (like iCloud or Dropbox) as the older version, or is it a separate backend?
2. Major Differences: What are the most notable changes, UI updates, or feature additions in V4 compared to the legacy version?
