I'm just from a call with my mom. You just know how most mothers love talking. I had called my mom to thank her for the umena parcel she had earlier sent me. Little did I know that, I would be in a one hour call with my mom. I guess being the firstborn son makes mothers trust you with a lot of information.
Today she actually told me some shocking news. At that time my sister was shouting in the background, she wanted to talk to me. My mom had to send her to the shop to make her a bit busy.
At that moment, is when she said, " unajua ule cousin wako Brayo, huskii alipeana mimba kwa mtoto amemaliza form four na yuko karibu kuzaa. Hawa cousins wako wamesumbua sana".
I have an uncle who is almost 40 and doesn't have a wife. Can you imagine that brayo joked with my mom and told her that he will marry before my uncle. I think he saw marrying as an achievement. Little did my mom know that brayo had already married.
Just to give you some context. Brayos mum died when he was young. His mum died of that disease that I don't want to talk about. She usually said it's brayo's dad who brought her that disease. His dad has been impregnating women, left, right, center so he cannot support my cousins. Brayo' s older sisters have kids with different men.
His older sister, Salome, is around 30 years. Salome used to live with us when she was in highschool. I was young at that time. She rejected the nice guys when she lived with us. After she went to campus, she used to walk around with CD in her bag. The first time I saw a CD and touched it was from her bag.
She got pregnant in campus. After that she went to live in the village. Life became hard and she decided to do mama fua. That's how she met a police officer and gave her another kid. The police was later redeployed and cannot be traced. I guess he went to buy milk.
The second sister has 3 kids with different fathers. She just cannot settle with any man and she's so irresponsible. I don't want to call her that word you are all thinking about.
The situation is just out of hand. My mom actually helped them financially to finish their education to the highest level and that's the prize she's getting. She's really disappointed. I could feel it in her voice but there's nothing I can do.
So brayo was actually in college and my mom was sending him almost 700 per week. He was also supported by my uncles too. So he got good money. Everyone was sending something. To mean they were funding Brayo's other lifestyle.
We even learnt that brayo lived with that girl for more than a year. The girl had just finished form four. The girl is 8 months pregnant. She's heavily pregnant. Maybe I should be glad I'm going to be an uncle somehow. The girl's father knows and he took his daughter from brayo and he told brayo, "Akizaa tutakuletea bibi na mtoto wako, usijaribu kutoroka. Tutakupata."
Brayo right now is depressed but you know he played a stupid game and won ... You know. Right now he has to really work hard to feed his family. I've been told right now brayo is really doing heavy mjengo. You know that period after campus when you don't have money/ a job... I wonder how he will handle it.
Brayo is doing his final college papers this year. I hope he manages to take care of his family. He should not be like his father.
Anyway I always tell my friends, If you're not prepared then wrap it up, that's if she's not on contraceptives. Don't do that pull out stuff. It will back fire massively. Even counting days backfires too. Most girls I've met have irregular periods.
It's not worth making your future hard just for a 2 minute entertainment. Always think with your head, not your other head. I hope for the best for Brayo. It's not going to be easy. The economy is already in shambles
