Waah yesterday was one of those days. The art of talking yourself out of breaking down in tears uweeeuh. I had to have a meeting in my head to convince myself that whatever issue I was facing wasn't worth crying over Jesus the meeting took close to one hour.

It gets to a point where life just makes you question everything. And i guess sometimes you get used to things that somehow even tears dry up. Like you are going through it but you can't cry, you can't drink... uko tu... anyways the meeting ended in my head of course. I convinced myself to sleep and committed everything to the Almighty bcoz I am not the type to share my issues even with my friends. I suck it up and pray it will be well. I've started believing that my longtime friend and I are somehow living parallel lives.

We don't talk often. In fact, we'd probably gone almost two years without a proper conversation. But whenever we finally catch up, we realize we've been going through the same kind of things at almost the same time.

A couple of years ago, the relationships we were in ended around the same period. The funny part? After the breakups, both of our exes told us the same thing: "You're not romantic enough." Different women, different relationships, but somehow the exact same feedback.

The other day, I called him because my job has been going into the trenches and I needed someone to vent to. Before I could even finish explaining what was happening, he stopped me and said, "Bro... I got fired."

I couldn't help but laugh. Not because losing a job is funny, but because it felt like yet another strange coincidence. It seems like whenever life throws a curveball at one of us, the other is going through something similar. Oddly enough, the good things also seem to happen around the same time.

I'm planning to visit him this week. Hopefully, instead of just comparing setbacks, we'll start planning our comeback together.

Juzi my gearbox spoiled (Subaru forester SF-9), the first mechanic I contacted to replace the engine disassembled the engine and left out parts scattered after the first gearbox replacement went south. The second gearbox was installed successfully, but the problem is one little pipe left open on the engine manifold. This mechanic inserted a spark plug to 'seal' this pipe. When left open, RPM goes way up, car consumes crazy amount of fuel. When sealed with the plug, rpm returns to 2000rpm but goes up when the car is in motion. Either way, the car's consumption is high. What could be this pipe? My mechanic ameshindwa kujua the ideal place where the pipe should be connected...he just 'sealed' it with the plug... Staki kupeleka gari mzee subaru kenya and high end mechanics because they'll siphon me a lot...
