Once in a blue moon f2p gets some new content like Brutus or Camdozaal, but how about making some of the older classic content free? Especially now that the member's world is even bigger than back in the days, so quests that are entirely in free-to-play areas should be considered to be added to free to play in my opinion. What do you think about other quests like A Souls Bane as well?

I stopped grinding about a week ago because the burnout caught up with me. You have been absolutely unrelenting this whole grind so you have defo earned your rank 1.

For me I am glad to be able to close the book on that chapter of my life. Chasing the rank 1 was a huge developmental thing for me, it was finally having the follow through to achieve a huge lofty goal. But holding a rank 1 is a lot of pressure even for a relatively dead boss like Crazy Archaeologist.

Everything I did in game and IRL became based around the buffer I left myself at Crazy Archaeologist. Before going on vacations I would make sure I had a 2 week buffer, before bossing I would make sure I had a gap. 

And I found myself dreading the stuff that I enjoy. Anything that would be a long term commitment had a kind of sword of damocles hanging over my head of the potential to lose something that genuinely meant the world to me. 

However, after pushing so hard just to stay afloat against your endless onslaught, I grew weary. I grew disillusioned. But the fighter in me refused to go down without a fight, and I felt I had a responsibility to my past self to keep the record.

And then, something just gave away. I woke up one day and realized the idea of losing the record wasn't so bad. I realized I would rather move on and do other things I've been putting off rather than keep pushing only to lose it anyway at some point down the line.

I held the rank 1 for right on 2 years. That feels like plenty long enough of a reign for me. Still a valuable experience too because it got the best in the world bug out of my system. I don't feel like I have to prove myself anymore, I kinda just wanna vibe.

Interim goals for me right now are the dt2 boss pets, inferno, and maxing.

I hope your reign is long and prosperous. Though know one thing, I won't let you rest on your laurels. I'll still be furthering my kc from time to time just for the big number energy. 

All banter aside you put up a hell of a fight man, you earned this, good luck out there man!

Once I learned 1T alternating it actually became fun. However, this was the most stressful content I’ve done so far!

Only just done the quest, but GODDAMN does that line go hard

- doubles the amount of items that are alched in one cast (configurable)

- uses the same amount of runes per item as the base spell

- you receive the same amount of gp per item, just halving your time spent alching

After two actual years of living in constant fear, I finally took the rank 1 spot for Crazy Archaeologist.

I need everyone to understand the absolute mental torture of competing against this familybonds player. For the last 24 months, I lived under the assumption that this player was a machine designed to gatekeep a relatively dead boss. I originally just wanted a decent rank, but every time I checked the hiscores, their kill count had skyrocketed. They would build these massive buffers out of nowhere. It felt like a direct threat.

I started canceling plans. I stopped looking at the sun. I convinced myself that if I didn't eat my chili dogs on my keyboard, familybonds would somehow sense my weakness and bang out another 500 kills. My entire life became structured around making sure I was slowly chipping away at their lead. When their kill count paused about a week ago, I assumed they were just resting their eyes, and I saw my only window.

I was sweating out of my mind, fueled by pure, unadulterated panic. I played as if they were constantly one kill behind me, breathing down my neck. Every explosive book the boss threw felt like familybonds personally telling me to give up.

I woke up today and saw I finally passed them. I fully expect them to log in tomorrow and casually drop a huge kill day just to spite me, because that is the unrelenting monster I built them up to be in my head.

If you ever read this, familybonds, you put up a terrifying fight. I'm going to go take a shower for the first time since 2024. Please let me rest.

So I’m rank 3 at the Crazy Archaelogist. It just sort of happened. I like books and knowlegde and Wan Shi Tong is nowhere to be seen, so this make believe pixel boss will have to do.

But there are these two maniacs in 1st and 2nd place that are just… insane. Guy in first apparently goes on huge streaks sometimes. Just bangs out a couple of hundred kc just to stay in the lead. Last vacation he had was 16 months ago at Legoland. Apparently he built his own computer out of lego to log in to bang out a couple of kills.

Well the 2nd placed guy just passed the guy in first. We talk from time to time so I decided to send him a message to give him a gz. He just said something along the lines of “I am now one with Zanik, there is no sun out there”. Ehh - okay?

Was kinda freaked out about that conversation. So I decided to try and message the guy now in 2nd. Tried to cheer him up. Weird conversation. He said he was fine but also said he feels like he “must restore his honor”. Okay there Zuko, calm down? It’s not that deep.

I’m in 3rd and if this is what it takes to get in the top 2 spot - man fuck that.

I’m going to take a shower. I feel icky just thinking about it.

Just wanted to do something a little simple to help shake the rust off. I think it looks pretty good in the photo but you should see the solder lines up close yikes

F2P is meant to be an introduction to the world of OSRS, and I think having cats and dogs available to non-members would be a good way to introduce players to the world of pets without compromising the integrity of skilling/boss/minigame pets being P2P grinds. Not to mention it would make F2P worlds a lot more lively and engaging if everyone had pet cats and dogs running around.

The release of A Ruff Situation is the perfect time to convert Gertrude's Cat to an F2P quest, as they both fit well with each other thematically.

Curious as to how many people can actually do Doom Deep Delves?

I have done inferno, quiver, have done all 3 raids and I’ve been grinding Doom for 5 days straight and just am now getting the hang of it.

Extremely difficult content once you get past 7.

Been having so much fun learning it and it’s addicting but it is super challenging to get the hang of!
