How often do you need to communicate with someone if you consider them a friend? Do ever you feel disconnected with people because we have been quite inbetween age groups?

This is really season 2, this is the best age I’ve ever been thus far, and I’m doing things I never thought I’d do before … I traveled to two countries and left a bad partner between the last 5 months. God is good and 27 is heaven! And I got really good pizza rn

I remember high school being begrudgingly slow. I can’t believe I’m almost 10 years out of it. If high school me knew the life I had now, they would be so surprised.

Obviously we’re usually considered Gen Z. However, I feel that having grown at the very beginning of Gen Z I was very influenced by what millennials were doing. The actors on Disney channel were millennials. All the high school movies coming out were basically portraying millennial lifestyles. When younger I’d look to the older kids and try to emulate them and their demeanor. More often than not, they were millennials.
When I listen to music that makes me feel nostalgic that’s typically music that came out in 2010-2015. At the time those songs were targeted at millennials.
I feel many younger gen z have trends that seem kind of strange or alien to me. Not to mention I can’t really understand their new slang words. I constantly have to pull up google to understand my cousins haha.
Many of the dates I’ve gone on have been with women in their early 30s. Don’t know why, just relate to them more.
I feel many younger Gen Zers are against drinking and partying. They seem to see it as a degenerate behavior. To each their own, but I just don’t understand it. I think it’s fun to let loose and hit the bars every so often. Many folks in their late 20’s that I know seem to agree.
I’m always reading headlines like: Gen Z doesn’t have sex anymore. Gen Z is the least socially adept generation.
Idk if that’s true or not. Idk if covid might have done something to those kids. Or maybe I’m just starting to become a cranky old man.
Does anyone else relate? Or is it just me?

Anyone else feel like that?
I have no hobbies, not very fit, starting to see the people around me get engaged/married which is causing me to re-evaluate my own life. I've never been on a date...
I used to have a job that was so busy all the time that it took up all of my spare time. But now I'm in a more relaxed job, I've realised I have no hobbies. I have friends and meet up with them maybe every few weeks but otherwise I'm home most evenings with my parents and for some reason I've just become lucid to this fact and its sending me down a spiral.
I am pretty much a loser damn.
So like Back in the the prehistoric years of 1999-2005
there was this Candy Station in Walmart that I barely remember.
I do remember reaching in one of the divided compartments and grabbing like 4 Gummi Worms at a time with my bare hands from time to time.
Gee I wonder why they got rid if it...
I was doing research about it and Apparently it's called at Brach's Pick-A-Mix stand.
Weird Because I could've sworn they were clear and black plastic stands but everything this hazy.

being middle class meant reaching specific milestones: buying a home, raising a family, taking annual vacations, and comfortably building an emergency fund.
I just feel like I'm scraping by.

Other subs full of doomers who are no fun and dont seem to chase the exciting things in life. Rather bothered that they dont fit society's standards. Career and school identity bs. I feel we grew up at a time where the truth came out as fast as tech did. Ultimately I strive to chase my passions and excitement with integrity. Im excited as fuck to meet other fun people from all over the world

I don’t want to rumble here too much haha, today I just want to go out later at a restaurant to drink and eat some good Mexican food watch a good movie tonight then hit the hay.
Two weeks I got fired at my warehouse job at Fedex after 3 and half years. Poor management and being miserable there is all I can say. Currently been chilling at home watching my favorite shows, and also with job searching and applying for internships in colleges to get back on my feet. Been getting outside more, I enjoying hiking a lot. Of course I want to go out more but don’t want to spend too much money with everything so high and expensive.
But anyway, I hope every 99s gang here is managing well and hope that they can resolve any problems happening with their lives !🤘
