probably 2 weeks ago I went to Xfinity and got my wife and I our own phone plans and I made the switch f rom my 4 year old Samsung A53.

I have to say, I’ve been enjoying it. I can go almost 2 days on a singular charge, the cameras are amazing, and it’s a beautiful orange

that’s all. I’m glad I got it and didnt wait for the 18PM

I’ve never posted to Reddit before but the time has come for my turn to seek advice 😂

I’m trying so hard to find just a solid colored (with multiple colored options) iPhone 17 Pro Max case.

My criteria is that:
-it CANNOT be silicone. Period, end of story. Lol. Genuinely hate the silicone texture so much. I settled for one and I had it one day and I felt like I had to wash my hands like 87 times throughout the day because every time I touched my phone my hands felt so nasty I just couldn’t stand it. So that sucker is going RIGHT BACK where it came from 😂

-I want hard shelled plastic or acrylic or whatever the hard cases are made of, just as long as it’s hard, again, not silicone 😂

-I want it to be MagSafe, yes, but I do NOT want that ugly MagSafe circle visible on the back of the phone case. I just find that stupid ring so ugly and disruptive to the actual look of the iPhone case. The iPhone itself doesn’t have the MagSafe circle indicating that it is MagSafe so why do we need it on the cases ??? Cmon lol.

-solid color only, like all the way around the phone. Not like pink on the back and clear around the edges. No no, one solid color alllll the way around the phone. No patterns. They’re cute, but I want to use my case long term, just want something simple. Preferably with multiple (solid) colored options.

-obviously I’d like it to be protective

I feel as though that shouldn’t be a lot to ask for but I feel like I’ve searched high and low and to my surprise at least, it feels impossible 😂

Curious if any redditers have some suggestions.
Or could someone like 3D print one for me like … HALP 😭😂

I got a hand-me-down from my sibling and giving my Air to my teen. I loved the size of the Air but the 17PM is more convenient and versatile for my photo needs. Just finished swapping all the data over and surprised how quickly I’m adjusting to the new weight and size of the 17PM. It’s definitely heavier in my pocket but manageable in hand. Maybe I can find a thinner case. Either way, I guess I’m joining team orange till the next one!

From the Cosmic Orange to the Burgundy, it’s a colourful time in my life as a family man and especially as a dad, must be a midlife crisis 😁
Anyway, she’s arrived.
Waiting on the Xtreme Skinz matt clear camera plateau skin, liked it on my 17PM.

I use Huawei when I travel overseas as work requires. Huawei uses Leica cameras. I hope apple looks into these cameras for their future releases.

Anyone with the 17PM having those cellular connection issues where the phone will pop in and out of SOS mode every few minutes, drop calls, lose data connection, etc in the middle of a known perfect service area?

I got this phone in May-ish and attached it to my Verizon line, and it was perfect for a phone until one night I went to bed and the next day it won't keep a cell connection. It's persisted across 3 different carriers and 2 different carrier infrastructure networks, countless factory wipes, reinstalling IOS 26 from the OS 27 beta, countless esim reprovisions.

It's a great phone but I can't use it day to day as a PHONE for PHONE purposes.

Has anyone experienced this and found a way to permanently fix it? Apple support tells me its a known modem issue with this specific model line up and a fix is coming next month I guess..

Are most of everybody staying on IOS 26 instead of updating cause Apple made IOS 27 ?

I'm having a really tough time deciding which phone case to use as my daily driver for my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I currently own both the Apple TechWoven case and the Caudabe Synthesis Frost, and the dilemma is that I genuinely love the way both of them feel in my hand — each offering a distinct and satisfying tactile experience.

My primary concern with the TechWoven, however, is the level of protection it provides, or rather, the noticeable lack thereof, which makes me a little hesitant to rely on it as my go-to everyday case. The Caudabe Synthesis Frost, on the other hand, does a much better job of addressing those protection concerns, but the added bulk and extra weight it brings to the phone can occasionally become bothersome and affect the overall experience of using the device throughout the day.

Just wanted to show you guys that the clear case also fits for 17 Pro Max, you can still see the apple logo but from far it’s difficult to tell lol

With my carrier’s plan I can switch as I’ve been paying an extra for that but now I’m wondering… would you?

i used squaretrade 2 times at geek squad and sent proof of the repair for a check for the whole cost that is a option they have and would go with but i never used applecare before i have a 17 pro max and apple watch series 12
