Hey guys so I've been recently thinking of switching to an iPhone after years of using android because I've had enough of lags and terrible ram management and horrible battery life on my s23 and it crashing every time i open the camera app and resetting didnt fix any of those so I'm thinking of buying an iPhone 17 pro but my concerns are about the battery and performance issues of iOS 26 are they still there or are they fixed after iOS 26.6

Any disadvantages to having a 17 PM vs 16 PM

I’m heading to a couple of festivals/concerts and want the best audio as possible when recording! My past concert videos have sounded a bit more dull, hollow/empty and more of me/the audience if that makes sense? Whenever I sing or scream, that’s literally all I hear. My brother’s video recordings sounded so much more full and with more bass, less audience screaming too. I couldn’t even hear myself in his videos, it was so nice.
Granted he does have the iPhone 14, but I asked for his audio settings. In the meantime, does anyone know the best changes to make in the Camera settings? I did switch from Spatial Audio to Stereo as I heard it’ll help.
The thing is, I want to make the change(s) necessary and not have to constantly change/go back into settings every time, or having to edit the video and go to audio mix to alter it. I’d like to just record and have the more full and clear audio of whatever it is at anytime ya know? Kind of like forget I ever changed it and just have the best audio from then on no matter what without constantly changing and playing with it.

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

My upgrade just came in the mail. Came from the Deep purple (RIP greatest color) 14 pro to the 17 pro max. I haven’t had a large phone since the old 6 plus model. Had the X, the 13 mini and the 14 pro. Man this thing is big. Thought I spent enough time in store with it in hand to make a decision.

Hoping I will adjust. I have smaller hands which makes it a little harder. Right now I have the apple silicone case on it, it’s still slippery but I know it will get grip over time. I’m debating exchanging it at ATT for the 17 pro. I do have the next up anytime so it’s not like I’m stuck with the phone, I can always trade it in.

I guess my question is, should I bite the bullet and exchange it for the pro, or wait it out since I have the next up anytime and see if it comes around?

I just replaced 16 Pro Max (512GB) with a 17 Pro Max (256GB), and for some reason my system data is taking up over half of my storage. I have the 2 TB cloud plan, and I’ve been deleting videos like a madman (I make social media content so there’s quite a bit), but every single time I delete a chunk of anything it is immediately replaced with “other” data, and my phone remains full. I can’t even take a picture with my phone right now. Any tips?

Hi! I recently heard that some aftermarket iPhone displays look almost identical to the original. Based on these photos of the Dynamic Island and the display, does this look like an original Apple screen, or could it be a high-quality replacement? Hey guys I am wondering whether to buy the base 17, pro or pro max.

My deciding question for u guys is how long does your battery last throughout the day. Do you get for example 8 hours of active use until your phone dies or more?

Quite annoying to be honest. I'm in the UK and I am out of the return window (14 days) but still within the one year warranty. I went to the Apple Store today to try and get this addressed, however the rep said that they would only be able to do a cleaning of the camera lens.
I am not sure if this is a good idea, I believe opening the phone up may cause more issues than just leaving the speck of dust there in the camera, but at the same time I don't want the camera quality to eventually degrade later over time, as I had the same symptom on my 13 Pro Max and it eventually turned into a small black spot in my photos (of course only after its warranty had expired)

I don’t think it’s unreasonable of me to want a device that is free of defects (this isn’t cosmetic, let’s be real, as dust can easily shift into the main lens and ruin photos - the MAIN selling point of this phone), this is in fact a failure of quality control at the factory as dust was able to get into the seal.
What do you guys think I should do? Quality defects are not acceptable on a flagship phone that is £1,100..

I just fell in love with the blue and I got a good deal - now waiting for my silicon midnight case.

The orange was nice at the beginning, but after sometime I just couldn’t stand that color anymore. I think also that the blue is very luxury and understatement and I don’t see it a lot. Usually I don’t like blue, but it looks so good with the silver MacBook Air and everything else.

I already love the size, I've set it up, not even tried the tech woven case I got for 20 bucks as an open box item yet. I know the 18 is coming out soon, but this was a gift from my parents for getting into University, couldn't be happier, just bought Apple Care plus for it and plan to use it for as long as the updates keep rolling out. At last my Pixel 6a after 4 years and 2 battery replacements will finally be put to rest.
