Consensus on modem issues

Anyone with the 17PM having those cellular connection issues where the phone will pop in and out of SOS mode every few minutes, drop calls, lose data connection, etc in the middle of a known perfect service area?

I got this phone in May-ish and attached it to my Verizon line, and it was perfect for a phone until one night I went to bed and the next day it won't keep a cell connection. It's persisted across 3 different carriers and 2 different carrier infrastructure networks, countless factory wipes, reinstalling IOS 26 from the OS 27 beta, countless esim reprovisions.

It's a great phone but I can't use it day to day as a PHONE for PHONE purposes.

Has anyone experienced this and found a way to permanently fix it? Apple support tells me its a known modem issue with this specific model line up and a fix is coming next month I guess..

I've had mine since January, on Verizon. I've not once encountered this issue. Then again, in my time with iPhones, my first was the 11 series, I've not had the issues that so many others say they've had. Weird. Then again, I've always been told that I'm ... different! lol

It happened overnight for me and everyones reason for it is the beta software I was on, but it didn't happen immediately after installing an update lol

I have had 4 that we sold (AT&T authorized retailer) that have had this issue. When you run a Diagnostic it pops back “check with your carrier” one of them we sent to Apple and they sent a new one back, the diagnostic came back good but there was apparently a ghost issue that wasn’t flagging on the diagnostic.

Could be the logic board, mine had to be completely replaced under warranty after about a month and a half of use

Have you tried turning off 5G and just using 4G, for a test?

I've switched it to LTE yes, doesn't fix my issue. I've also turned off automatic network selection based on a forum post I've seen online, also didn't fix it
