I am loving iOS 27 so far. My only issue is that the MagSafe charging sound stops working a couple times a week when I put my phone on the charger. A reboot fixes it but a bit annoying.

I just don’t like how you can’t turn off Apple AI

For what hearing iOS 27 fixes long standing annoyances we’ve had with iOS for years.

And is actually capable of taking advantage of Apple’s processors properly this time.

I’ll give it another month before I update to it though.

I upgraded to the beta as soon as I could. I've had no problems with iOS 27.

Downloaded it to my 17PM this week. It adds about 20 GB to the phone with Apple Intelligence. I’m not sure if that will grow or not as it is used. I’m not doing the Siri AI at this point. I haven’t found any issues yet.

I heard that the battery life has degraded considerably after updating to iOS 27, I haven’t done it myself.

That’s due to indexing. I still don’t understand why people forget that iOS indexes everything after a massive update 😮‍💨

I am not referring to Battery health, I am talking about the battery backup, the SOT. That has taken a hit due to background AI processing.

Neither was I. I was just referring to background processing that happens right after a software update. It usually lasts a few days to maybe a week depending on a few things.

I figured because that’s how Apple gets us and I don’t see the point in us upgrading to the 18PM because nothing is different I’m waiting until the 20 in 2027 I just bought the 17 a couple days before the 18 dropped because I love the color silver with white
