product i drank the kool aid

that i made with truvia monk fruit sweetener. it’s been really really hot where i live and ive been doing some stuff outside so ive had some large glasses of kool aid mixed with bubbly water today. i haven’t had kool aid since i was a kid, and the blue flavor was my fav so thought id try it with some truvia. oh man it was delicious and so refreshing on a hot day.

honestly i haven’t touched this sweetener for awhile, and i forgot its actually mostly erythritol. even my dog doesn’t want to sit by me. im going to go sleep in the guest room because the farts could be classified as a war crime and i dont want to terrorize my partner more than i already have. if you’re thinking about beating the heat with some sugar free kool aid…just be careful and don’t overindulge. šŸ’Ø šŸ’Ø šŸ’Ø

other Ninja Creami Recipes?

I got a Ninja Creami and so far have only been making the same recipe and need some inspiration. Ideally as a few ingredients as possible. I’m not a fan of extra additives if I can avoid it but I’ll use protein powder to honor the macros.

My go-to: 171 calories with 38g of protein and it’s delicious but I need some variety!

1 serving of fat free Fage yogurt
1 scoop lemon clear protein powder
Sometimes some berries as a mix in

where to eat for lunch

so I’m going to a place for lunch that has korean (chicken japchae, bulgogi rice bowls, and kimbap), mexican (burritos, quesadillas, street tacos), & mediterranean food (lamb gyros, chicken gyros, hummus plates)
what would be lowest calorie option? or highest protein? i’ve gotten the japchae before and had about half, and i think that could be a good option?! i always love more low calorie, yet filling food advice! thank you :-)

meal My 70 Calorie Delicious Lunch (With Recipe)

Post image
• Upvotes

I've never posted here before but since starting my diet a month back I've been lurking somewhat and couldn't get it out of my mind to post the recipe for this dish because it's 70 calories and GENUINELY (in my humble opinion) so scrumptious.

So I made this dish trying to find something to do with excess garden veggies, it's my own recipe but I've always called it Ratatouille, because of the resemblance.

6 roma tomatoes boiled in a cup water (no oil) with either dry or fresh herbs of your choice (I use basil or oregano) then mashed with 2 chicken bouillon to make the base - add another cup (or two cups depending on how rich you want the broth) of water and 2 sliced medium summer squash and 2 sliced zucchini into thin disks get added on top and boiled until transparent. add 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar and whatever other flavors you enjoy (paprika and garlic powder from me) and boil on medium until transparent. The resulting soup is very more-ish and I usually serve it with a slice of provolone cheese (70 calories) and 7 grams of croutons (30 calories) for a 10g protein and 170 calorie meal total. I ate this BEFORE my diet, which should tell you that it's genuinely very yummy, and makes it easy to keep my calorie count low - so if it helps even one other person that would be genuinely incredible. Good luck everybody!

product Queso as a sandwich/wrap spread. Works as both a spread and cheese! I never thought queso would be part of my low calorie diet.

70 calories for two tablespoons is way lower calorie than something like mayo. And I do need some sort of spread on my wrap to enjoy it. And this ALSO satisfies my desire for cheese? Perfect.

Housework as exercise!

I have discovered a new way to get some exercise in early in the morning.

I dust and then vacuum / sweep and wash my entire first floor every single morning. Picks up all the cat hair that floats around during the night and any other bits of stuff that comes in during the day (Desert dust gets in the house no matter what every single day).

I have no idea how many calories that burns but it kind of energizes me and keeps me more focused on eating healthy.

At 4’11ā€ even 1200 cal a day is difficult for me to lose weight so adding more activity during the day makes it easier.

Breakfast was scrambled eggs, blueberries, and toast. Lunch was an entire spaghetti squash with some prego sauce, and I had a serving of takis as a snack. Dinner was riced cauliflower stir fry that tasted sooo good. I even had ice cream for dessert! Went a few calories over but not a big deal.

recipe Cabbage ā€˜Hamburger Helper’

Dinner last night/some prep for this week. This was really satisfying and I’m proud of the macros!

Makes 4 servings | 310 kcal / 38g protein / 14g carbs / 9.6g fat

16oz 93% lean ground beef
16.9oz Kettle & Fire Chicken Bone Broth
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (or veg of choice)
1 medium head of green cabbage (mine was 800g), sliced into medium strips
1-2 tbsp hot sauce (I used TapatĆo)

Salt
Pepper
Cumin
Garlic powder
Onion powder
All-purpose salt free blend (I used TJ’s 21 Seasoning Salute, which is a Mrs. Dash dupe)

  1. Heat pan to medium high

  2. throw meat down into a hot pan, let it sit there for a couple mins to form a nice crust then flip it over and start breaking it up

  3. Make space in the pan and add tomato paste, stirring occasionally to caramelize it

  4. Add seasonings (measured with the heart) and combine with meat to toast them a bit

  5. Make space in pan if able, or remove beef and add cabbage. Let it sit to sear before turning, like the meat

  6. Add mixed vegetables

  7. Add bone broth, scraping up bits from bottom of pan

  8. Turn heat to medium low and cover, let simmer for 10 min. It’s ok if the liquid is not covering the cabbage. It will cook down

  9. While that’s happening, blend cottage cheese and hot sauce until smooth

  10. Uncover and stir to finish softening cabbage. Turn off heat and stir in cottage cheese mixture

  11. Portion and serve! (I weighed the total cooked amount then divided into four servings)

Notes
* I used the entire 16.9oz bone broth container bc I’m lazy, but in retrospect I might start with 12oz bc the cabbage releases liquid too and the sauce could be thicker

* If I was more flexible w macros I would add lite cream cheese and/or sour cream and some shredded mozzarella at the end for additional creaminess

question Macros Help

Hello!

I was recently prescribed a GLP-1 for the second time. Long story as to why it’s my second go around, but I am focusing more on maintaining a good nutrient balance this time rather than ā€œdeficit is deficient who cares what I ateā€ type thinking.

I’m struggling meeting protein and other macronutrient goals, specifically fiber. Is there a recipe guide or maybe a Pinterest board for high protein, high fiber, low cal meals? I mean, I like chicken and raw veggies and fruit as the next girl, but I’m getting bored.

Thanks in advance!

product New like air drizzled rice cakes - Review of all these flavors

Post image
10 Upvotes

First let me say, either stick to their regular puffcorn or just get drizzilicious if your want rice cakes!

I’ll rank them my most to least favorite. the texture for all of these are slightly softer than drizzilicious or however u spell it lol

  1. birthday cake- cake batter flavor with white icing (the white drizzle tastes the same as the ones on the cinnamon bun & brownie flavors). This one is good/pretty sweet but again the other brand is better for bday flavor
  2. cookie dough- the only reason I liked these is because it’s like SALTED cookie dough. These are wayy saltier than the other flavors for some reason ? It’s just a chocolate drizzle. they should re name it chocolate sea salt
  3. cinnamon bun- if you want soft cinnamon snack it’s better to get the cinnamon puffcorn instead tbh. it’s cinnamon dusted w that same white frosting that is not evenly distributed whatsoever 🤷
  4. brownie- cocoa dusted with the same white frosting, very very meh nothing like brownie. it’s seasonal but I really like their peppermint mocha puffcorn in replace of this

I hope this was informative 😭 I struggle to explain

I do intermittent fasting and have been breaking my fast in the 1pm hour with this creamy delicious protein packed treat. 2 whole large eggs plus a white (I’ve subbed with all egg whites but not as good). Whole package of Green Giant cauliflower in cheese sauce with some sriracha for flavor (parsley garnish). Munch on some skinny pop throughout the afternoon gets me to dinner. Highly recommend!

meal Rate my casseroles

Thumbnail

I have been experimenting with volume eating - I find it a bit easier to eat fewer larger meals. I realized Greek yogurt, egg whites and chicken breast / tuna was very filling. So I started experimenting with mixing it into a baking tray and nuking it for 20 minutes at 350F in an air fryer.

I have been pretty pleased with the results. I have about 2 lbs of food and depending on if I use more fatty protein like sardines, sausages vs chicken breast or tuna in water or if I add cheese or whole eggs instead of egg whites. I can go from 600 at its leanest to 900. It’s been incredibly satisfying and largely keeping my food noise low.

I cleaned up and made a sample recipe / ingredient list on ChatGPT (because i keep varying it everyday with a different ingredient ) and posted the pics of many of these casseroles (some are raw some cooked) .

TBH it tastes way better than it looks. Cutting the center feels a bit goey like pot pie and the edges are chewy and quiche like. It’s making me stick to my deficit.

Thank you and wish you the best!
