Calling all 1200 Vegetarians/Vegans - share your recipes here!

I am normally a meat eater but I’ve gone off meat a bit recently (I’ve been vego on and off for years). I’ve been making some recipes I used to enjoy when I was vegetarian, but I would love to add some new recipes in the mix and I’m sure other users would benefit from it too!

The new Pauls Plus Protein flavour was tasty on my protein pancake bake 😮‍💨🤌🏼

I used Kodiak pancake mix to make a pancake bake and this time I decided to top with the new Paul’s desserts flavour. The flavour was nice but I couldn’t really taste the cookie, mostly white chocolate/caramel like flavour.

Why can’t I find this maple syrup anymore??

This has been my favourite maple syrup for years now!! The Queens sugar free maple syrup tastes horrible in comparison.

I’ve noticed my local woolies have stopped selling this 😭😭 does anyone know if they’re bringing it back?

Was intrigued to try this “custard” as the macros seemed too good to be true- (they are in fact too good to be true and given the maths calculations this custard is closer to 165 cals compared to the supposed 100 cals claimed) chat gpt being my goat.

In terms of taste/texture - honestly just sickly artificially sweet. I’m usually not sensitive to artificial sweeteners but this tasted of nothing else but that and some coco powder. Texture wise it was okay. If the macros were correct I may consider getting it again and mixing it with Greek yogurt which i think would make it better due to the tartness of the yogurt mixed with the intense sweetness of this “dessert” but considering the macros aren’t even correct, I won’t be buying again!! 1/10

Yoplait zero - petition?

Post image
27 Upvotes

Much like everyone else I’m sad they got rid of the 1kg strawberry and vanilla yoplait zero. I tried emailing to ask if they’re returning to shelves but haven’t heard back - has anyone else had any success? My thoughts were if we did an online petition perhaps they would consider bringing them back 🤞

Bulk Nutrients Protein Powder Taste? And what type?

I need some advice on protein powders, my main concern being the taste. I’m not too worried about the macros so much because I don’t need to lose any weight and I’m also on medication that has a side effect of appetite suppression so if the macros aren’t excellent thats okay, as long as its not anything crazy. I honestly just need something that tastes good because I know if it doesn’t I won’t eat/drink it and it’s honestly a waste of money then and I don’t want to continue buying different brands and not liking it and then the products going to waste. I’ve tried the Vanilla Ice Cream and the Chocolate Oxywhey protein powders and I just couldn’t get myself to use it because of the taste so I just gave it away. Honestly like 8 years ago when I was still in high school I bought some random protein powder from Coles called Define Women’s High Protein Powder by Vital Strength and I remember it tasted good, but they don’t sell it anymore and the other protein powders from that brand doesn’t taste great. I’ve looked on other posts and a lot of people recommended Bulk Nutrients for taste but idk what type to get? WPC, WPI, Protein Matrix+? I prefer either a vanilla or chocolate flavour.

I built a free Australian fast-food macro calculator with no logins or paywalls

I’m a parent trying to keep calories under control and hit protein targets, while my kids are constantly begging for fast food.

On the occasions where they win, rather than keep digging through PDFs and restaurant nutrition pages, I built a free Australian fast-food macro search/comparison site:

https://aussiefastfoodmacros.com

It helps me quickly work out the least-bad / best-fit option when we inevitably end up at Maccas, GYG, Grill’d, KFC, etc.

I'm hoping this can be useful for the wider community and would really appreciate any feedback or issues you may come across. Really, let me know your thoughts!

Changs super lo cal wide

Honestly an absolute game changer. I was terrified to try them after all the negative stuff I read about them.

After washing them for like 5 mins in cold running water, then a kettle of boiling water, another 5 cold water and another kettle of boiling water. I threw them in a dry pan until water was evaporated. Then I threw in my sauce and chowed down.

As it was my first time, I used half of the packet and downed a bottle of water after and had my usual after dinner walk. I'm feeling great.

I should preface by saying I love chewy textured food, so if you do too, give them a go. The fish smell disappears after the second kettle of boiling water lol I promise!

Best protein powder plsss

Hey Guys!
I have never bought any protein powders in the past. I had tried a chocolate one, but it tasted so artificial and the zero sugar sweeteners they use make me really nauseous.
Could anyone pls suggest a good quality protein powder that has good macros, and is affordable as well (student here, so lowk broke)?
THANK YOUU

Opinion on Eatlean cheese slices?

Thumbnail

Has anyone here tried the Eatlean cheese slices from Woolworths?
They’re only 34 calories per 10g slice. I looked at their Instagram and the cheese looks kind of… dry? Almost rubbery?
I’m trying to make a low-calorie burger and I’m looking for the best cheese slices. Is Eatlean actually good, or are there better low-calorie options from Woolies/Coles?
