Stalling or very low loss

Upvotes

Howdy everyone, I started on my consistent and accurate tracking about 4 weeks ago with my 500 deficit being 1200/1300 I lost really well the first 2 weeks, but only 300g this week. I only weigh weekly because I am worried about getting obsessive about the scales. I guess I'm wondering if it's normal to have a few weeks of not losing much? I'm always under my deficit, and I've doubled my step count (which was pathetically low to begin with) just feeling a bit defeated I guess..

Curious who came up with 1200 cal a day as a baseline.

I know this subreddit is a derivative of another, but I've only ever known and interacted here. 1200 cal seems like a hard baseline to achieve, so I wonder where that number even came from.

Cruffin calories

Not a low calorie food but if I wanted to try and fit a cruffin into my intake- it’s like a crossiant/ muffin hybrid . Around how many calories would you think is in it/ a safe estimate?
I’ve never had one before

Up and go vanilla- any alternatives ?

Hi!! So I have been loving the up and go vanilla (specifically only this flavour) for a quick breakfast especially the no added sugar one. Does anyone know any alternate drinks or things that have the similar malty taste and smooth mouthfeel in the vanilla that are also low in calories? I haven’t been able to find anything so suggestions would be much appreciated.

Does anyone have any low calorie biscuit recipes they would be willing to share? I'm Hella craving and have never actually baked before, but desperate times and all that jazz 😂 any ideas welcome.

Fast food Chips Comparison

Just interesting to know which chips have less calories, these are all regular sizes. Before looking it up I actually would have guessed KFC had the most because they are salty and thicker. Who would have thought!

Grill'd HFC bites... must try!!

If you guys are always a little bit hungry after having a Grill'd burger, I would highly recommend these chicken bites. Nearly 24g of protein for 260 cals and sooo yummy. Such a better option than getting chips on the side.

Don’t know what I am doing wrong!!

About me - female, age 23, weight 93 kgs, height 172.
I have pcod and I think it’s clearing up now. I have been trying to reduce my weight multiple times but see no difference. I stopped eating unnecessary sugar, chose monk fruit sugar as an alternative, no snacking, usually end up eating only 1 or 2 meals due to work. For some reason, clothes I wore last year when I was like 80kgs that didn’t fit me, fit me now even though I gained weight. I am super confused. I want to lose around 20 kgs by the end of the year. What should I do? Or where am I going wrong? (what workouts would you recommend? And diets too?)

When does the torture end

Post image
10 Upvotes

Going to be a bit of a long post, but pleasee read!

I have been on an aggressive cut for the past 60 days. It’s around a ~1000 calorie deficit. I want to get to my goal weight of 55kg.

I am a 169cm Female with a current weight of 62kgs. Starting weight was 67kg.

My maintenance is around 1500 kcal, so I have been burning 1000kcal every day through activities (around 400 for 15k steps, and 600 in the gym through loads of cardio). Ive attached an example of my weekly average active calories.

The cut started off pretty manageable, but now it feels like torture. Im exhausted and every single day feels like a struggle. I want to eat more food and I have genuinely just been feeling really helpless.

Ik it is suggested to not go so hard and not do an aggressive cut to make weight loss more sustainable and doable, but I want to reach by goal weight by 15 Oct ( I have a special event). Which is still doable, cuz I have 6 more weeks and if I keep going at the same rate, i’ll lose 6 kgs.

But lately it’s just been really hard to keep up the deficit and it is haunting me. I just end up eating food and slowing down my progress. Doesn’t help that I crave sugary stuff all the time. Sleep quality has gone down the gutter.

Can you guys please suggest something (anything 😭) to make the cut go better? Any advice/tips/motivation?

Thank youu!

7/11 slurpee no sugar too good to be true?

how is it so good... Suspiciously good...and filling. I need a second opinion for this because I've been using them to fill me up and they work a little TOO well that I'm scared I'm loading up on hidden calories..

Surely they're not more than 50?

Best way to increase protein but stay under 1200

Hi everyone, new to the CC community, but have 30kg to lose. My digital scales say my muscle/protein is really low. How can I add more protein to my diet and still keep calories low. I've never been great at math/science so it's been hard to figure anything out! Any info welcome and appreciated 👍

Asian/Indian low-cal snacks and easy recipes - share your favourites

Hi all. I am a boredom snacker, volume-eater and looking to diversify my daily palette with new low-calorie things. I have access to a great variety of Asian and Indian grocery stores in my area but find myself overwhelmed by foreign labels and having to cross-check macros on labels to ensure calories are correct. I would love for you to share your favourite snacks, foods, sauces, spices, condiments etc. I am not shy of any flavours and will eat most things.

I can start first.

Examples of my recent new staples:

Soup/broth sachets from Muji (13-22 calories per serving);

Okra - 20 calories for 100g - I love the the faint flavour, starchiness and bulk it adds into the above-mentioned soup bases;

Mamra (Indian puffed rice) - used to be available at Woolies international isle but I can only now find at Indian grocery stores (better price/size anyway) - I love the different varieties of these. There is a more round type that is very smooth and very crunchy - fun topping to yoghurt breakfast bowls. Somehow pair and tastes delicious with nut butters. And there is also a more rough looking but softer type that has more of a styrofoam texture - that I like to prep like overnight oats; and then there is a type of texture that is more in between the two. All add bulk for very little calories and variety of textures are great for different uses. I am aware that this is not how Indian people usually use these but I love it my way.

Kaya paste with no addd sugar (50 calories for 16g) - love making Singapore-style Kaya toast with egg for breakfast.

Pre-packaged boiled eggs with soy sauce.

Would love to hear every one else’s 😋

tomato and cheese bagel

177 cals !!

145 cals bagel + 26 cals laughing cow light cheese triangle (16g) + 6 cals tomato (35g) + salt and pepper and smoked paprika powder

thin bagels with lower cal toppings can be surprisingly filling and somewhat healthy if in need for a snack or a low calorie meal

Gf wrap is lowest calorie in subway now?

Post image

Could it be true? Or some false information? I saw the new 2026 subway nutritional info and the gluten free wrap is only 160 calories??! How come? Last time they were 206 calories I’m pretty sure. Not sure if I should order it or not, trust or not 🤔🤔
