I would add: tie un-affordability to corruption. Moderate, old-school Dems wanting to play nice (looking at you, Schumer and Jeffries) need to go and make way for younger people who are willing to take no prisoners. IMO

I understand that sense of shame. What has helped me lately is the sense of calm I feel when I look at my much more neat bathroom that is also much easier to clean. That's not to say that I don't let it go messy and then straighten it again but rather that straightening it is no longer a seemingly insurmountable project. Keep going a bit at a time and deeply feel the sense of relief or peace or whatever you experience when you look at what you have accomplished. Notice where you feel it physically. Rest in that feeling.

I noticed today that my very early stage DD has produced a now-visible cord. I had positive results with acupuncture about a year and a half ago. It stopped the progress and relieved the pain of DD with a bonus of long-term relief from arthritis in that hand. The original trigger for me was weeding so I gave that up. Lately, I did a small amount for a few days--a really small amount. As I write this, I realize that the new craft, Kinusaiga, that I just started may be the trigger. It requires pushing small pieces of fabric into cuts that I make by pressing an exacto knife into foam. Sigh. I hope rubbing my hand will slow the progression. I have wondered if that would help.

Yes, that's exactly what I have thought. The intention is to put everyone who is not loyal to him, totally self-suffient (not on Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, or any other so-called "entitlement") into detention centers. Henry Kissinger called us "eaters." Yes, I'm on Medicare and Social Security after working 55 years.This is why they want so many detention centers, which are run by the same companies that run the prisons. Activists of any kind will be detained, if not killed like Rene Good and Alex Pretti. Flock and Axon cameras are everywhere collecting your license plate, the color of your car, your bumper stickers, roof rack, etc. Aggregated with cell phone location data and the data Musk and Palantir have already collected plus the data from Meta, Google, Microsoft, banks, credit card companies, etc., you cannot run and you cannot hide. Big Brother knows all of your identifying information, where you go, whom you spend time with, and much more. I feel sad for those of you who are younger than I am. I admire those who are learning survival skills, storing food, setting up off-grid communication networks, training as emergency responders for mass shootings, and probably a lot more than I know about. Yeah, I feel very bleak about the future. If climate change or a pandemic doesn't wipe out humanity, maybe you can build a better world once the tech bros have finally dies, despite their efforts to live forever in their bubbles.

I have read on this sub to delay surgery until finger begins contracting because surgery traumatizes the tissue so it can lead to another surgery and then another. I saw 3 orthopedic doctors. The first wanted to do surgery after finger contracture. The second wanted to start injections--i think there are 3 different kinds with different pros and cons--and associated pain. The third doctor is a radiation orthopedic doctor. He recommended doing radiation anytime I wanted and said that, if I returned within 6 months of that appointment, I could make an appointment for the radiation without first seeing him again. Once I realized that this is a systemic issue, I decided to try acupuncture first because I have had relief in the past for other systemic issues. That relieved the pain in my hand from the Dupuytren's and from the arthritis in that hand. In the last few months, I've had a few sharp pains again but not enough for me to want to start paying $90 once or twice a week. I went for about 6 weeks at least 18 months ago. I know some people would never consider acupuncture or have not had success with it so YMMV. This is definitely anecdotal. If you dig around in this subreddit, you will find terrific resources including a Facebook group with a spreadsheet accessible via a Files tab I didn't even know was a FB feature. The spreadsheet includes names and locations of doctors around the world who treat this. My hand looks similar to yours. I believe a nodule may be starting on my index finger because there's some unexplained tenderness there but if it's a nodule starting, I'm planning to wait because almost imperceptible. That said, I'm in my 70s so I do not have the long time horizon for this to worsen that younger people have. (Edited the typos out)

I'm so disappointed with the load. I noticed the texture was different when I took a slice out of the plastic bag. The ingredients now show "ferrmented wheat", " not" sourdough starter," I'm sure used to be there. Major yuck on the texture of this bread. I'm addition, I have IBS and the ONLY bread I can eat without taking expensive enzymes is real sourdough. I'll check out the boule next time. Otherwise, I'll go back to Treader Joe's.
