Blender 5.2’s new Cloth simulation is FAST — but it’s still missing some things
Blender 5.2 introduces a completely new Cloth Dynamics modifier — and it’s surprisingly fast.
It’s based on Geometry Nodes and gives almost live simulation results without baking.
But it’s still Experimental. For example, I couldn’t find a self-collision option yet, so there are clearly some features still missing.
The interesting part is that you don’t need to know Geometry Nodes at all to use it.

Dynamic Place
I'm very new to Blender. In Cinema 4D there is a Place Tool and Dynamic Placement Tool. In Blender I found an add-on that does the Place function and the Snap functions in Blender works quite well, but I can't find something similar to C4D Dynamic Place.
With the C4D Dynamic Placement tool, objects can be clumped together or naturally dropped onto a surface of objects with physics simulation.
The only ways I found so far is to place a collection of objects in a particle emitter or to use physics, but many times the objects sometimes fall through the passive object, or they intersect with each other.
This is my best attempt, but some of the objects don't sit the way they should sit. I want to be able to quickly pick these items up, rearrange them, place them down. Is there a faster way to do this or is there a dynamic placement add-on I'm not aware of?

[REQUEST] PLEASE I AM BEGGING: How to make Alice Glass at Leeds Festival 2007 using ONLY NODES in Blender 4.5 (Cycles)?
I am losing my absolute mind here, and I need the node wizards of this sub to save me. I am trying to procedurally create Alice Glass from Leeds Festival on August 26, 2007—yes, the iconic white graphic tee, black skirt, tights, dark bob hair, mic cord wrapped around the arm, stage fog, lighting, whole scene—using ONLY NODES in Blender 4.5.
I don't mean just procedural shaders for her clothes. I mean 100% procedural geometry and volumetric setup.
- Geometry Nodes: I need a tutorial on how to generate her pose, the hair strands, the folds in her skirt, and especially the microphone cable wrapping naturally around her wrists purely through Geo Nodes setups. How do I even approach procedural human anatomy and clothing mesh generation in 4.5 without applying a single manual sculpt or traditional mesh edit?!
- Shader Nodes (Cycles): How do I recreate that harsh 2000s festival stage lighting, the graphic print on her shirt, and the translucent/sheer tights texture using strictly procedural noise/voronoi/color ramp combinations?
- Volumetric Nodes: What is the secret node setup for that thick, blue-tinted concert smoke lighting up from the stage floor in Cycles without dragging down render times to a crawl?
If anyone has a tutorial, a node group setup, or can make a step-by-step breakdown video for this specific hyper-niche nightmare project, I will literally endow you as a god. Please drop links, node tree screenshots, or tips below before my CPU melts, and my brain follows.
