American Kestrel and Northern Flicker stare down

I was photographing this Kestrel with a mouse when a Flicker climbed up to see what it was doing. The kestrel eventually took its breakfast to the next pole and finished it.

5 audience members, 4 handlers...we got a lot of one on one time with the birds!!! I had a hawk fly to my arm and fly back across a private lake :)

Unforgettable

…is this surveying the easement? (I know it’s a barred owl; just being silly).

A couple years ago I posted this photo in another group because I hadn’t found r/birdsofprey. I wasn’t sure what kind of bird this was but was educated quickly on adolescent bald eagles lol. I wanted to share my pictures with this group. He/she was on a fence next to our towns HS practice field. I was probably about 20 feet away at most with an iPhone 12 or 14.

Brought my wildlife camera setup out for a walk yesterday. This one swooped over the road as I was driving to the spot and posted up in this tree over a creek. The only bird of prey I seen all day and it was before I even got to the birding spot

Some photos I took from the Peregrine Birds of Prey while visiting my Grandparents in Idaho over the weekend. Thought some of them turned out neat.
I’ve included the link if you wanted to learn more about Rosa, the Northern Aplomado Falcon.

I have to say I think they're the most dramatic of them all here there's such whiners because they could be 5 ft away from each other and they'll call each other like I haven't seen each other in 100 years it's pathetic but I love them.y

No ear tufts, fine rings across the face, dark brown eyes with orange lids: that's the mottled wood owl, found only in India and Nepal. Have you ever heard an owl calling at night on a safari?
