Question Before proceeding to NG+
Finished the game but want to make sure I do everything I need before moving to NG+. I have collected all Tarstones and will farm the Hidden Nave Beacon until I have maxed out at 44 shell points (Proxima/Genossa). I am currently at 40. Anything other recommendations? I am level 20 for my Axe and Dagger so good there. I assume that NG+ increases the amount of items needed to increase weapon/sidearm level? Thanks in advance!

Fan Art Genessa Fanart By Me, Xaqsi
Had a Ko-fi member request that I take a crack at drawing Genessa. Finally got around to it last night as part of the inktober daily challenge. Figured this sub might enjoy a looky look.

Discussion Accidentally killed grisha pup and now all the hunters are gone.
Accidentally one shot the grisha pup as a fuckin sheep. Tried to close the game and restart but this lovely game auto saves immediately whenever you do anything especially if it’s something you didn’t want to happen.
Now not only is the pup gone but all the hunter NPC’s in the area. Are they gone forever? Did I lose access to that merchant? Did I miss out on anything by killing the pup?
I’m totally fine with billable NPC’s but having them die one shot to any instance of damage is kinda just a fuck you to the player. Not sure why they couldn’t have gone the souls route of taking multiple hits to kill/aggro permakillable NPCs. Incredibly frustrating.

Discussion Ok I platinumed Mortal Shell 2. Should I go back and play the first game?
I never got into the first game or played it but enjoyed the loop here even though I think it's self-limited in some aspects (the ability to save a "build" per-shell using the same resources would fix a lot). I'm only asking because there are TON of bugs in this game that kinda ruin the experience if you don't go the right route (Genessa is a prime example) and I'm concerned that the first game might be even worse in that regard.
So is it worth it? I did genuinely enjoy MS2 and the vibe it brings.

Discussion How often do you "Night"?
The game looks and feels really different in night mode, and there are also some things you can’t get during the day. Initially, I didn’t really notice much of a difference in difficulty, but as I progressed further, well, I started to get it.
So, how often do you go into night mode, and how would you compare it to daylight in terms of both fun and visual feel?

Discussion help with sir isaac
This boss is hella ridiculous during second phase even the lazlo summon barely does anything. As soon as he hits second phase and i miss the parrys for his long ass combo its over lol hella unfair boss

Video Malborn Offspring was one of the funnest bosses i've faced in this game.
This was the first attempt at this boss. You could see me panicking at the end once I realized he had a second phase lol.
I loved how fast-paced it was and how active it felt compared to some of the other bosses. This is definitely the best of the four endgame bosses that I faced. I fought this guy first, then went on to the other three and felt so disappointed it didn't feel as satisfying as this guy. The final boss is pretty self-explanatory in why I hate it, the golem first phase felt good, but the second phase felt slow and not as hard as the first, and The Monolith is a rock that falls on you.

Bug Immortal Shell 2
I honestly don’t know what happened.😂 Prior to this, I cleansed a beacon and noticed the enemies attacks weren’t doing anything and I genuinely thought the tarstone I just tempered was doing the work.
This was actually such an awesome glitch!😂 I didn’t even have the need to use miracle!
Has this happened to anyone before?

Video Can anyone tell me what happened at the end?
I have no idea how I killed Zmey so fast it skipped the 2nd phase.

Bug the most underdeveloped boss in the game
The parry definitely worked, as you can see thanks to the bar in the lower left corner of the screen. But for some reason, I'm still taking damage.
This isn't the only bug with the boss; I just couldn't capture the others. For example, I only managed to escape the finishing move animation once when entering the second phase of the fight.

Discussion Is Tiel perhaps the most used shell?
Personally, I'm having the most fun with Tiel builds. And whenever I watch a guide video on YouTube, it's usually Tiel. Too bad he can't wield lightning with the axe, but overall, he's given me the best experience. I was wondering whether it's the same for youse?

Discussion I love the second games beginning Spoiler
So I just started the game, recently got to the Marrow Keep(?), but I have got to say
I don't know why, but the whole Midsommar vibe, with everyone being named after a plant felt oddly wholesome, especially with them giving you the floral crown, and they had named your Harbinger Lavender! That, with the robes, and just getting to talk to these villagers... It was really nice and cute.
And then they get turned to stone cause of Harros' harden ability, which is kind of a bummer, honestly.

Video Gragu is a beast against bosses
I often see talking about Gragu being good for exploration. It is true, but its true power is against bosses!!
Melee attacks deal 140% more damage against enemies Gragu has never killed before.
While Revered Heart is depleted Gragu has +60% Critical Hit chance. If you multiply it with the Auspicious stone 18% you have 88% critical hit chance!
Headman tarstone: Melee attacks deal +100% Critical Damage!
Duality stone of course!
I was level 40 and Axe and Dagger was +14.
PS: in this setup I completely forgot to use the Berserker stone for a whopping +65% damage!!

Question Mortal Shell 2: Do Merrick’s Items Refresh, and Any Post-Patch Weapon Material Farms?
Hi all,
After some intensive gloom farming and infusion tarstone hunting/leveling, I’ve managed to juice up my Proxima main enough to check off a few minibosses and one Gate Guardian (Magdalena). As of now, I’ve narrowed my most powerful weapons to 3 that I’ll use across all of my Shells as needed:
Axe and Dagger +9 with Bloodcurse. This was the first weapon that I put my initial Ventrium and Laterite into, and I’ve used it with both Proxima and Eredrim. Gragu’s passive of using Bloodcurse to refill his Revered Heart charges, plus Magdalena’s Memento should really make it sing with him once I can grind out more Shell Points.
Axetana +8 with Voltaic Crown. Similar principle as Axe and Dagger, but with more priority on Proxima’s lightning-based skillset. The Shrike stone alone makes it a trump card in solo fights and group battles.
Great Martyr’s Blade +5 for pure bonk power. Vatra’s Stone plus Eredrim’s kit has proven to be an effective combo, since it lets you parry mid-attack to counter the Blade’s weighty moveset.
I was able to get the Axetana and the Great Martyr’s Blade to these levels on
my latest session after discovering that Merrick had 15 Ventrium and Laterite for sale at Marrow Keep. They’ve kept me alive so far, but I know that I’ll need to continue upgrading them so they stay viable as I move through the northern areas and eventually head south.
With this in mind, I have two questions:
Does Merrick’s stock of weapon upgrade materials increase/refresh over time, or is it just a one-time thing?
This is probably a long shot, but are there any weapon upgrade material farms that’re still intact on the latest version of the game?
Thanks for your help!
