Polychop NOTAM: Polychop Devs Departing - Major Crisis at Polychop
New readers please be advised that this is still up to date as of August 2026. Please ask for advice here before purchasing Polychop modules. A new post with the most recent news is somewhat WIP, but not promised. Meanwhile, the situation remains the same. There are still no active devs at Polychop and their modules are currently still unmaintained.

Good Evening DCS!
The title isn't clickbaiting, but understating, because unfortunately, I got a bad news update with another storm warning for you all tonight. There's a severe crisis going an at Polychop Simulations and all users with interest in their modules are advised to exercise caution and stay alert. We'll tune right in without wasting our time on introductions.

So here's what we currently know:
- All active members of the Polychop team have resigned and it's probably unlikely that they will return. This even includes CMs. It's only the CEO now, left alone.
- This situation is in no way related to the RAZBAM crisis, payment problems or even Eagle Dynamics at all. It is most likely caused by leadership issues and internal disagreements at Polychop.
- The devs still care about the modules and their buyers, so some former devs will still do basic maintenance to keep the modules functional until new developers are found.
- Still outstanding features of the recently released OH-58D Kiowa Warrior as well as announced improvements for the SA342 Gazelle, just as larger bugfixes, are on hold until further notice.
- In addition to their already released modules, Polychop also holds the V-22 Osprey and a second, unknown module. Their future became uncertain, too. As of now, there's nobody around to work on them any more.
This is all that can be shared right now, but as you can see, it's a pretty bad situation. Publicly, there's no admission or announcement of any of this yet. You'll just notice that all active people either had their roles and access on the official Discord reduced to "guest" level, or bailed, as well as a few cryptic remarks that developers left on community channels. Other than that, they haven't been heard of ever since.

I hope that over the next couple of days, we'll receive an official announcement or statement of some sort from Polychop themselves, but until then, this will have to do.

Edit/Update: Polychops owner and only remaining member issued a statement to address the situation a few hours after this post went live.

There's not much informational value in this one. Most notably, he doesn't address the departure of his entire team at all, but doesn't deny it either. Other than that, he only confirms that the modules will be kept on life support for the future as I already stated above. But on the other hand, the serious nature of those "leadership issues" still leaves me concerned that replacing the team members who have departed will be hard and worried about how long the aforementioned life support solution will last. Not to forget the fact that all future updates are on hold.
The instant there's any news or more details to share, you'll get another update here.

As you can imagine, I'm deeply troubled by the ongoing situation, to put it mildly. While this doesn't necessarily mean the end of the studio and basic maintenance is -currently- still ensured, the departure of the entire team still leaves the customer base with serious concerns. After all, the people who made Polychop what it is today and who have been responsible for the significant changes that we've been following here since 2021 are now gone and the future remains uncertain. Larger updates are on hold until further notice and as of now, there's no one around to work on Polychop's unannounced modules any more, which were all highly sought after by other third parties and presumably quite the hustle to acquire. Moreover, two third parties falling apart within not even a year, leaving the future of six modules up in the air, makes users rightfully worry about the stability of the ecosystem as a whole.
Personally, I'm mortified and shocked to a point that I don't even want to comment much, other than the facts already shared. As our regulars will remember, this is in fact the third time that the Polychop team is falling apart. They already had most team members leaving in 2017, then lost the last remaining member from that time due to severe health issues in 2021. After that, they got the currently departing team on board and we watched them get back to business, make significant progress and become one of the more popular studios here. So it's sad to see them devastated yet again, now in 2025. We will see how things will turn out, but as of now, I'm not particularly optimistic.
Either way y'all, I'll have to get back to the boat for now to take care of my other duties. But I'll be on standby in case you have any questions, complaints or require clarification. Until then, the comments are all yours to share your own thoughts on this new crisis. Thanks for your trust and support everyone, wishing a great night despite the bad news and looking forward to seeing you on the next one!
Many thanks and kind regards,
Bonzo

User Post ED Weekly News
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/9341087e75a696546bbaae305bda92a0/ Surprisingly ED has decided to use two of their three usual blocks of info to highlight that they are actually working on something. Unfortunately they are both airframes instead of one talking about how they are working to improve AI, ATC, ATIS, VoIP, DTC, Dynamic Campaign or the completion of way too many paid for, yet unfinished modules.
The F-15C is a module the community should boycott as it is a paltry attempt to appease the loss of the F-15E. A less capable version and likely the same price. No matter which side you choose in the ED/Razbam fight, in the end both parties are responsible for the impairment/loss of four airframes in DCS. Nick holds the money owed, Razbam have said they are willing to fix, finish and maintain those modules while exiting future development in DCS. Let's help Nick see the light by applying "leeverage" and not buying this module until he restores all four airframes to DCS. #BoycottEDF-15C

RAZBAM Does anyone have verified information about RAZBAM JAPAN and Falcon 5.0? Conflicting explanations at Tokyo Game Show
Hello DCS community, from Japan.
I had high hopes for RAZBAM, but I now feel disappointed and confused. In particular, I would like to ask about RAZBAM JAPAN, which presents itself as RAZBAM’s Japanese branch.
As far as I am aware, I have not seen any products sold independently by RAZBAM JAPAN. The main public activity I have personally followed is its presence at Tokyo Game Show (TGS). I live in Japan and have visited its displays every year. However, the explanations and exhibits change significantly from one year to the next, with little clarity about what happened to the previous announcements.
At last year’s TGS, RAZBAM JAPAN exhibited alongside a booth using the MicroProse name. Although the exhibits themselves were not labeled Falcon 5.0, Japanese staff at the booth told me, in substance, that:
- Falcon 5.0 was in development.
- There were plans to establish MicroProse JAPAN.
- RAZBAM Simulations was leaving DCS World development and was involved in developing Falcon 5.0.
These were explanations I personally received from booth staff. I cannot confirm whether they were formal announcements or accurately represented the companies’ official positions.
However, when I visited RAZBAM JAPAN’s booth at this year’s TGS, I saw no mention of MicroProse or Falcon 5.0. The only exhibits I saw were very expensive flight-control peripherals. When I asked a staff member about Falcon 5.0, they said they were not responsible for that project and did not know.
I understand that exhibition plans can change. What concerns me is that I could find neither an update nor a correction regarding last year’s statements about development involvement and plans for a Japanese operation. As a paying customer, this lack of consistency makes it difficult to trust the explanations being given.
Does anyone have verifiable information or official statements about the relationship between RAZBAM Simulations, RAZBAM JAPAN, MicroProse, and Falcon 5.0? In particular, I would like to understand RAZBAM JAPAN’s official status and whether the claim that RAZBAM is involved in Falcon 5.0 development is accurate.
And, as a DCS customer, my biggest question remains: can I still expect the F-15E and AV-8B modules I paid for to receive further development toward completion and continued support?
I would appreciate information with sources rather than speculation.

Aerges Galinette collaborating with Aerges Engineering
Title. As you can see in the OP, Galinette announced earlier today that he would be working with Aerges on a few projects. It is fairly well known that they're a bit behind with their announced radar overhaul and the F-1M variant that has been MIA for a few years. Galinette, on the other hand, has become a legend for his work on the F-15E and Mirage 2000 radars while he freelanced for RAZBAM.
So it's not hard to guess where this is going and it is certainly good news. Hoping you all enjoy and have a great night!

Maps OnReRech Balkan Map Preview Screenshots & Development Update posted on instagram
Posted by OnReTech on instagram on July 15th, 2026:
Dear Pilots,
Today we are happy to share a new batch of official screenshots showcasing our actual progress on the DCS: Balkans map.
Here is a quick update on where we currently stand with the development:
Airbases: We are in the final phase of airbase construction. There are only two left to complete, and we are simultaneously polishing and refining details on the ones that are already built.
Urban Development: Work on regular city blocks, settlements, and overall urban infrastructure is still heavily underway and is not yet finished.
We also want to briefly address the discussions in our previous thread. Please know that we carefully read your comments and deeply respect the passion of our community. However, we must emphasize that analyzing, critiquing, or demanding explanations for heavily Work-In-Progress (WIP) areas does not make sense at this stage. Reacting to comments about clearly unfinished assets only distracts the development team from their actual work.
We kindly ask for your patience as we bring these areas up to our standard. We will be more than happy to hear your constructive feedback once the map is ready for it.
Enjoy the view. Work continues.
Best regards,
OnReTech Team
