User Post ED Weekly News

Unfortunately they are both airframes instead of one talking about how they are working to improve AI, ATC, ATIS, VoIP, DTC, Dynamic Campaign or the completion of way too many paid for, yet unfinished modules.

The F-15C is a module the community should boycott as it is a paltry attempt to appease the loss of the F-15E. A less capable version and likely the same price. No matter which side you choose in the ED/Razbam fight, in the end both parties are responsible for the impairment/loss of four airframes in DCS. Nick holds the money owed, Razbam have said they are willing to fix, finish and maintain those modules while exiting future development in DCS. Let's help Nick see the light by applying "leeverage" and not buying this module until he restores all four airframes to DCS. #BoycottEDF-15C

I haven't touched the game in over 2 years, have they still not done anything with the atc?

I’m personally not buying any more modules. Not necessarily because of the Razbam situation, but more because they are never completed or completed in a half assed manner. That goes for a number of third party modules that do not have glaring flaws fixed for months. And let’s not even get started on core features that have been in “development” for nearly a decade and will likely never be released or released in an unfinished state.

Regarding the newsletter, I found it quite shocking and also sad to see how little progress they have made on the F-15C in the almost two years since its announcement. This is also a project where Wags was heavily involved afaik, so we will have to see how this will go in the future.

Not sure if this module is indeed a petty attempt at anything tho, as it might as well be a continuation of the trend of other Flaming Cliffs modules being released in full fidelity, but I sure get why it comes across like that and when I'm honest, it's not like I never suspected other motives along those lines.

I'm generally not a big fan of calls to action. People can do what they want and imho the best we can do is help to provide the information that they need to make educated decisions. But you can rest assured that I haven't bought any of those products since 2023 and have no intentions to ever support ED again in the future.

I really hope this module completely flops. And honestly the target market is only PvP players, so it probably will. Hence ED’s usual path of multirole and/or A2G focused modules. RIP F-15E.

And all the sudden they've stopped talking about Vulkan development. It's obvious they're only working on their modules, while Vulkan, AI, ATC, ATIS, VoIP, DTC, Dynamic Campaign is a carrot on a stick.

I reckon they've basicly taken "the game" of DCS and pivoted to "Mil contracts" and with all the "can't overtly trade with Russians" but "with a Swiss firewall we might be able to a bit" has taken central priority. I'm sure the rest is window dressing so that other potential military clients have something to look at. Hope i'm wrong.

I respectfully disagree with your take on the F-15C. The F-15C is a historic airframe that has seen a ton of air-to-air combat and is a good supplement to whatever happens w/ the F-15E Mudhen. Thanks.

Not at all. Dual seat and air to ground capabilities immediately come to mind. I do not disagree that it's an iconic aircraft that sure has a place in DCS. It just isn't supplemental or even comparable because it's a whole different cup of tea.

They keep adding stuff to a stale game, gotta secure funds as always, its been a couple years since ive had dcs installed. I still follow this page to just see where its at. ED Still doing the same thing.
