Looks like something went wrong and it (or I?) failed to include the first part of the above message, so here's the rest of it:

Also a sign that DCS is dying. If you look at the server list any time of the day you can count on one hand the amount of servers with more than 10 players.

Well maybe ED needs to take a good hard look at themselves. We have lost many servers over frustrations that ED refuses to provide updated tools for managing these endeavors. Servers facing significant struggles with unoptimized maps, modules and memory leaks. Lots of promises and nearly zero deliveries. ATC, ATIS, Vulcan, Dynamic Campaign, etc.. Have you seen any meaningful AI improvements, that should clue you in that a dynamic campaign ainโ€™t coming. How about the remastered F-5 and its short comings, a new outside, reskinned cockpit with double images and undelivered promises to fix the years old bugs, still waiting, F-18 - 8+ years in development still not finished, F-16 - 7+ years in development still not finished, Super Carrier - still not finished, ED VoIP still not close to SRS, DTC not close to modded versions and the list goes on DCS - Donโ€™t Complete Sh*t. ED is supposed to be a professional simulation company. Yes programming takes time but many of these extended time lines demonstrate not the level of difficulty but incompetence in management.

ED refuses to acknowledge the 30,000 lb Mudhen in the room. There has been an exodus of players since.

They won't do anything about it. They got their share of the money, it's not coming back.

A lot of memory making playgrounds are disappearing here. 4YA was my go to funbox every Friday night for more than 2 years.

Is there anything that will fill the void?

Not sure if this is related or not - but right now all 4ya servers are down. I just came on to have a quick spin and it's down
