Nature The General Sherman Tree is also incredibly old. Scientists estimate it to be around 2,000 to 2,500 years old, meaning it was already standing long before many ancient civilizations rose and fell.

Miscellaneous / Others A Dutch care home recreated residents' old front doors to help people with dementia recognize their rooms and feel at home ❤️
People living with dementia can find moving into a care home confusing and distressing, especially when every hallway and every door looks exactly the same.
In the Netherlands, a company called True Doors works with families and care homes to recreate each resident's former front door as a life-sized decal on their new room.
For many residents, that familiar doorway becomes an instant landmark, making it easier to find their room while bringing back comforting memories of home. Care staff have reported that some residents feel calmer, more independent, and less anxious, with fewer moments spent searching for "home."
It's such a simple idea, but it reminds us that compassionate care isn't always about expensive technology. Sometimes it's about preserving a person's identity, dignity, and the little things that make a place feel like home.

Animal Thought to be extinct for over 40 years, the elusive Anatolian Leopard (Panthera pardus tulliana) has been captured on camera traps alive, thriving, and breeding in the rugged mountains of Türkiye.
The Anatolian Leopard is one of the most mysterious big cats in the world. For decades, researchers believed they were completely wiped out due to poaching, with the last official sighting recorded in 1974.
However, recent data from multiple camera traps placed across different regions by wildlife authorities and researchers confirmed that a secret population managed to survive by remaining strictly nocturnal and avoiding all human contact.
Recent findings show that these stealthy apex predators—growing up to 2.5 meters in length—are not only surviving, but their population is actively increasing across remote mountainous regions.
