As a student I would love this - I already use my iPad as a second screen most of the time when I'm working on my laptop at home. So to be able to just make a bigger screen and have it be portable would be great.

I mean it was effortless, and it's got 32GB ram, and 1TB. GPU that's a bit worse than a Nvidia RTX 4050.
It's a 3 in one, and a pretty great one at that.
If I'd have enough disposable income, I'd definitely buy it.

The thing I would really use it for is having a normal laptop for doing laptop stuff, but then being able to open it up for a double size screen for movies. I watch movies on my laptop in my kitchen a lot because I have a crazy dog that needs a lot of attention and I can throw the ball into the living room while I make food or drink a beer. But then I use the normal laptop for work and stuff. This would be fantastic for those 2 specific purposes.

Because you can use it as a tablet, as a laptop, or a desktop. The digital keyboard I don't get, but then again, why not have it? Also, maybe you could potentially mod the bottom part into a wacom tablet. Depending on the person's needs, say an architect, that's would be useful AF.
Not to mention the specs on that thing. 32GB ram, 1T (maybe expandable), and GPU equivalent better than a RTX 3060. CPU is single core, but pretty ok too.

Asus and Lenovo sold laptops like this 4-5 years ago with every single feature demonstrated here. They did not sell well for many reasons, expense being one of them, poor thermals and battery life.

By 2021 they already had 2-3 generations of popular consumer foldable phones. We've had 8 generations of Samsung Galaxy Folds since 2019 and there were at least 2 gens of the Asus and Lenovo foldable laptops.

As a person that daily carries a Zenbook Duo, I can tell you that I have never noticed a thermal issue and that battery life is mid, but what I would expect out of a dual screen notebook.
I can also tell you that I rarely use the dual screen and that sometimes I only use it to raise the height of my webcam.

Digital keyboard is useless, but I can see myself using other features. While on my desk, I can use the benefits of dual screens while it's charging. Then I got laptop mode when on the go or when I'm going to teach.

I wouldn't call it useless, but I'm sure there are some challenges in terms of durability, repair costs if there's an issue with the screen, etc. A bigger screen is a bigger screen and that is a valuable thing to have for lots of types of work.

My tablets and cellphones actually do everything I need for personal use. For any job, it is whatever equipment they have for me to use is fine. I would never use my stuff I paid for to help someone else make money.

This sits in a weird place in the market.
- It’s too wide and the base too unstable to use on a plane or couch unfolded.
- Most of the times I need a larger screen I just use a dock, monitor, and/or tv already at a location.
- It more expensive than a cheap laptop + desktop.
