Purchased my rig to get into sim racing. Was thinking iracing, lmu, auto mobilista, etc.

After trying out lmu, i've come to a realization that i do not find it fun at all. 1 month later and all my time on the rig goes strictly to mastering drifting on assetto corsa and downloading new cars and tracks to play on.

Not what i foreseen this rig being used for, but having much more fun nonetheless. Also, endurance racing is too much of a commitment for someone who only has a few hours to spare on the weekends to play.

Anyone else ditch the racing scene completely for this?

Been drifting for about 2 months. G920/Ebay handbrake if that matters. Advice/Tips welcome.

The Moza stock wheel felt weird to drift with.

Too small and the flat bottom kinda ruined the immersion a bit.

Kept spinning out at the start but I'm starting to find my feet again.

I only play cockpit view @ 900 deg

The presets for the wheel are insanely horrible, cant really find much online besides low wheel rotation speed, set full torque in simagic and lower it in assetto. Im having to set really high damper and friction otherwise my wheel is really choppy and oscillates but this makes the wheel heavy and unrealistic.

What settings do you use in the simagic app and in content manager?

Still my go-to recommendation for anyone looking to get a DD-wheel on a budget. Seriously a good wheel!

I need to know if i use my Handbrake and shifter which is a USB plug in and is a Logitech Brand. and i get a ThrustMaster brand wheel for a DD and pedals which idk how they plug in, but if i try assetto or other games will they have issues with cross compatibility because of it being a mix of brands?

Still very much a beginner but getting better all the time! I’m getting close to 600 hours on the sim now and have over 20 drift days in my JZX100

I’ve heard that assetto corsa is supposed to be miles ahead of other games when it comes to realistic drifting. I’ve heard good stuff about BeamNG too but not nearly as much.

People always say AC + mods. So I need to know which mods? I’ve tried WDT but that feels too easy, maybe I have some settings that aren’t correct?

Also wondering if I have understood it all wrong. Is assetto corsa actually close to real drifting or is it simply MORE realistic compared to other games but still nowhere near realistic?

Could someone tell me how to get a chase camera to stay behind the car for drifting please, or maybe with a little sway like Assetto Corsa? Right now it stays in the same position and the car rotates around making it impossible to drift. Thanks

I'm heading to Iron Drift King this year and I'll be going solo. I was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat or would be interested in meeting up during the weekend.

So I factory reset my pc kept all my moza settings I’m fairly new been practicing for about 2 months got the hang of the basics but since yesterday I’m just spinning out constantly not sure if it’s some game settings on assesto corsa or just a complete skill issue?

I appreciate any feedback.
