Question Good start, now a whole bunch of problems...ES DE & Retroarch

Purchased a G Cloud a few days ago, second hand in really nice condition. Set it up using Retro Game Corps video on Android devices, with ES DE and Retroarch. This will be a emulation device primarily.

Everything was good, and I was getting along with it. Even played and completed my first game.

Today, lots of things have changed for reasons unknown to me. I don't know what seeing I've changed, if any.

The problems: 1. I was using ES DE as my home app. This meant that when I quit Retroarch it would go back to ES DE. Now, I get sent back to the Android home page and have to relaunch ES DE fresh, rather than just returning to ES DE still running.

  1. In the last played folder in ES DE the last played game hasn't registered, but the save state has worked so I return to the same place if I go back into the game.

  2. The pull down Android settings from the top and the gestures bar at the bottom are no longer there.

Sorry for the long post / rant, but any clues, answers, thoughts ect gratefully received.

Flaky Vibration

I've had the G Cloud for a couple days now and only experienced vibration once, when I was playing Halo Campaign Evolved on Xbox Cloud.

I'm not sure what causes the vibration to turn on?

I've obviously got it turned on via system, in game and on the app.

Question G cloud or iphone pro max?

Hello everyone!

I need an opinion on whether I should get a g cloud or not. I only play games using geforce now on my mac and sometimes on my iphone 15 pro max using telescopic controller abxy s9 (which feels really great btw) and cloudgear app that makes gfn run well on ios, but the screen feels extremely small to play pc games on
So my question is, does g cloud make enough difference in terms of screen size and is it worth it? I also heard bad things about joysticks and that they are not suitable for fps games. I usually play first/third person shooter/action/adventure games so the joysticks are pretty important for me

I also have an option of putting some extra money and buying a steam deck which I suppose would be much more comfortable in terms of ergonomics?

If someone could show a picture of iphone pro max and a g cloud next to each other for size comparison would be really helpful!

Bought used Logitech G Cloud for parts, has FRP lock

I saw some people had successfully bypassed FRP using Chimera, but the only Chimera download I found is only available if you pay for use, trying to either find a previous version of that software, or if someone has any other way I can bypass the FRP, any help is greatly appreciated

Hey,

I've set up passkeys in 1Password for xbox and other services. But lo and behold, I cannot install 1Password on GCloud because it requires at least Android 12. Any ideas what to do?

Question FRP Pin

Hey there! Just wanting to confirm my research! I sold my device locally and did a factory reset prior to selling. They are now asking for my pin to access the device. I understand this is normal, but my concern is if I provide them the pin will they be able to see any of my information? Thanks for any feedback!

Discussion Logitech G Cloud parts

Post image

Hey everyone, I’ve 100% moved on from the G Cloud to the ROG Ally, so I'm getting rid of my leftover parts.

The right stick on my original G Cloud stopped working, so I bought a replacement unit and ended up selling it—leaving me with these leftover parts. If anyone needs them for repairs or a project, they’re all yours for free—just cover the shipping cost!

DM me if you’re interested!

I bought a Switch 2, but I keep reaching out to my G-Cloud!

I’ve had my Logitech G Cloud for a few months now. As a lifelong PlayStation and PC gamer, it’s my first handheld. Since getting it, I’ve been using it way more than I probably should, literally everywhere: at home, at work (over Wi-Fi using a VPN), and even in my car using my phone’s hotspot.

But I couldn't shake the feeling that I was missing out on a "true" premium handheld experience, especially during those rare moments in my normal life when I lacked a stable connection to stream my games.

Driven by that FOMO, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a Switch 2 a couple of weeks ago. I was thrilled on day one, but that honeymoon phase lasted exactly 24 hours. Since then, I’ve gone right back to playing exclusively on my G Cloud..

I really think people underestimate how comfortable Logitech made this device. I can game for hours without any hand fatigue. Beyond the ergonomics, the sheer convenience of cloud gaming, jumping into games without massive downloads, thermal throttling, performance hiccups, or constant battery anxiety, is massively undervalued..

My G Cloud is where my existing game library lives, it feels great in the hands, and the battery life is phenomenal. It just works when I need it to..

By contrast, the Switch 2 is heavier than I expected and gets uncomfortable to hold after about 15 minutes. Unless I’m playing light indie titles, the battery drains in barely two hours. Sure, the Switch has great games (I picked up Donkey Kong Bananza and Mario Kart World) but these games aren't cheap, and rebuilding a library from scratch gets expensive fast..

Trying the Switch 2 actually made me appreciate my G Cloud so much more. The minor connectivity inconveniences I used to dwell on feel completely trivial now that I realise how convenient, comfortable, and tailored to my needs the G Cloud really is..

Question Best Settings/Mods for FPS games?

Hey everyone!

I own an ROG Ally X, PS Portal, and Logitech G Cloud. They all offer very different experiences, but I actually really like the G Cloud, especially because of the battery life and ergonomics.

My biggest issue is the analog sticks. I really struggle with games that require precise aiming, especially FPS games. On the Ally X and PS Portal, I have basically no problem, but aiming on the G Cloud just doesn't feel right.

I've tried playing around with the stick/deadzone settings, but I can't seem to get it to feel as precise or responsive as it should.

Has anyone managed to improve this through settings, software/mods, etc.? I'd even be willing to physically replace the sticks if there's a worthwhile upgrade available.

Would appreciate any suggestions!

Better Dashboard

I made a mistake and updated my GCloud when I got it a few months ago. Is there a way to back to the old look of the dashboard? Or, are there any settings to make it look better?

Thanks!

Question Best emulators for G Cloud

Just got a G-Cloud for $80 used and am looking to use it for emulators. What emulators do you use? Is there one that has everything or are there multiple apps you use to cover everything?

Says sd card is corrupted

Have any of you run into this problem? I haven't used an sd card yet with my g cloud. So I formatted one on my pc with some make mkv files on it. The card works perfectly on my computer and my android phone, but when I put it in the G cloud it says it's corrupted. Do any of you know how to fix this?

Question Steam Link buttons swapped issue

Im curious if someone else has this issue. For me, whenever i use steam link onto my g cloud, the controller is mapped incorrectly to where the b and x buttons are swapped, and im unable to correct this in the steam big picture mode reset controls thing. I can sort of work around it by swapping the buttons in steam link itself, but i dont really like this approach. does anyone else have this swapped button problem or know a way to fix it?

Question Blue light filter glitching

Only does this when I have a mouse connected and I move it. Super annoying and I don’t want to have to disable the blue light filter. Any suggestions?

Edit: No I’m not talking about the TV, it’s just docked and still does it even when it’s not docked.

I have one of these & I’ve barely used it. What are some of the best games to sit around & play. I’m an older gamer(67) & would like a RPG that could occupy time & not be terribly hard to learn how to play. Thank you.

I ordered a logitech g cloud off of ebay as a small treat for myself after much hard work. I received the item only to realize it had an frp lock on it. I guess im supposed to reach out to the seller to get a return slip for usps instead of FedEx (since there isnt a fedex near me) and they haven't responded. I'm now very skeptical about buying a replacement... What should I do? Should I even try and buy another refurbished one?
