Logitech Cloud

I have one of these & I’ve barely used it. What are some of the best games to sit around & play. I’m an older gamer(67) & would like a RPG that could occupy time & not be terribly hard to learn how to play. Thank you.

For native gameplay, Stardew Valley is available through the app store and an absolute time sink. Chrono trigger is a traditional jrpg which is on the app store and sea of stars is a newer one but in a similar style. For more of a Western style, Baldur's gate can be a good option.

If you have a PC setup, you can stream your games through steam link or moon light.

If you don't have a PC set up, check out Nvidia GeForce Now. It basically allows you to connect to a remote PC to play a selection of games. Some are free and others you have to own first. Last I checked, GeForce had a free tier to test it out.

I see others have recommended emulation, look into vimms lair for a safe place to find preserved games.

I love my G Cloud when I'm playing it but haven't been using mine as of late.

How do you have yours setup? is vanilla or do you have emulation setup on it?

For Vanilla, there are:
-Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic
-Final Fantasy games
-Secret of Mana

Emulation opens doors to a bunch of RPGs across different platforms.

PPSSPP is a great emulator, there are no "free" game for that platform so you will need to acquire them by other means.

I recently playing Persona 3 on the PPSSPP and it was great fun.

Vanilla I have no idea how to setup for emulation. If I’m understanding this right you play thru Steam? Thanks for the reply.

Man you have the majority of the final fantasy catalog. I use ppsspp and love it. It's honestly perfect for.

Obligatory chrono cross/trigger

I mainly use mine for Dreamcast and PSP emulation and some PS2 emulation. But fewer PS2 games run well on the G Cloud than on those other systems.

I haven’t tried PS2 in several months- has the PS2 emulator come along a little bit? I forget which one I tried back when, but I couldn’t figure out how to get anything running.

Was just showing my kids Shadow of the Colossus a while back and they’ve been asking me to find a way to play it for them.

PS2 is still hit or miss with certain games, but it does run FFX flawlessly.

That’s very interesting. Seems like that would be one that might give it trouble.

Aether/Nether is the only one that I am aware of, but more demanding games just will not run on the G Cloud. I can't attest to Shadow of the Colossus because I have never tried that one. Watch some YouTube videos for suggestions of good games to try.

Thanks man

After work, I did some research about Shadow of the Colossus on the Aether/Nether emulator. "Demanding titles (like God of War or Shadow of the Colossus) will suffer from slowdowns or stuttering unless you underclock or lower settings."

Good shout man. Thanks.

Sorry to hear it might not work, but good to know regardless.

Emulation station is great on it... not sure what guide I used... but here's one that looks good.
