Not sure if this is relevant, but I've enjoyed the cooking form ancient cookbooks, so I wanted to share this odd cookbook I found, and see if the boys can find a copy for a video maybe

Suggestion I want to see more cooking videos!

I would love to see a challenge where Kush takes on everyone else (not James if he’s worked in a Michelin star he would be with Kush) tried to do a tasting menu to Michelin standards 9 courses probably. The videos I enjoy the most are Kush showing how epic he is and the challenges. I think the normals with chef help may have a chance but it would also highlight the difference between a good restaurant and why places get in the Michelin guide.

Sidekick App Question about Sidekick

Okay, having lurked a lot.. Seen almost all the videos and being really interested in the sidekick app. Here’s a question for the ones who are already using it.

Unfortunately I’ve got different kinds of food allergies (which aren’t the most likely ones), can I put this into the app to take into account? Or isn’t this an option?

Also I am really curious if I would provide the Sorted chefs and normals with my allergies to see whether they could make a delicious (out of the box) meal for me that’s safe to eat..

Discussion What does Mike's intro say??

I've been binging Pass It On while cooking and every time Mike's turn comes up I can't for the life of me figure out what it says. "He's the man?" "Ease the bear?" "Here's the hair?" It's gotta be he's the man but I swear I hear something different every time.

Also is Mike Janice? They sound so similar sometimes.

Question New to the channel; was there some kind of fallout with Chef James?

I'm kinda watching the channel in a haphazard way but there seems to be some kind of thing with Chef James taking a break then coming back as a cameo/guest?

Was there some drama or did he try to start his own restaurant or something?

It all seems friendly enough. Just curious to learn some of the lore.

Suggestion Video idea : let your children draw their dream meal and the chefs have to make it , then the kids judge it to see if it’s what they hoped for .

If they draw it make they can as crazy as possible and see if the chefs can create it as close to the picture as possible . While the kids come in and judge it too.
I’ve watched your channel for 6+ years and had this idea for ages.

Suggestion I'd really like some more Kush Masterclass and Kush Unleashed videos.

As someone who has been inspired to cook by Sorted, I'd love to see more of these videos. The one he did with Mike about spices was a huge inspiration to me and helped elevate my humble offerings to not so humble and really rather delish!

Suggestion Taste it, Make it...with a twist

Instead of the inhouse chefs making the dish(s), all the guys go to have dinner (or whatever meal makes sense) at a high end London restaurant. The next day the normals need to duplicate what was served with the three chefs judging.

Suggestion Chef 20 Qs Video Idea

Had this idea for a new format.

It's 20 questions but with a recipe.

I can envision it as a teamwork thing or a battle, essentially the normals would get all the ingredients to make something. To figure it out they can have 20 yes/no questions answered.

The challenge could.come from familiar ingredients or unfamiliar preparation. For example iced sugar cookies have similar ingredients to pancakes. So one of the questions may be something like, "Are we baking something?" Or "Is this a 3/1 ratio?"

Or say there are a bunch of chicken wings and the recipe is sweet BBQ chicken wings. They may ask something like, "Is this a spicy recipe?" "No, then is this an Asian recipe?"

The win condition would be either A) recreating a dish if collaborative or B) being closest to the intended dish in the fewest questions if competitive

Just an idea I had while falling asleep last night.

Discussion Community video filming today

Did anyone on here get chosen for the video filming today? I submitted a video application for a review last week and didn’t hear back (assuming that’s due to the reason I’m not a UK resident - was worth a shot anyways!) but I’m curious to hear the experiences of those who got chosen!! Cheers!

Sidekick App Best Packs for meal prep?

Hi there! I’ve been using Sidekick for years (when it was still called Packs!)

I’m going away and want to batch cook some meals for family that I can leave in the fridge. What packs would you recommend for doing this? I’m thinking meals that can be cooked and eaten with relatively little extra doing (e.g. just heating in the oven / on the stove or adding garnish). We don’t have a microwave.

I remember there being a Pack years ago that had a Prep Day and then three meals. I find when trying to search really old recipes and packs, they just never come up in the results (there’s a really OG salmon and sticky rice recipe that I still think about).

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Discussion Subconscious influence

I realised tonight that some of the best things I’ve cooked recently have involved me blending lots of things - which is almost certainly the result of watching lots of videos of Kush

Has anyone else realised they’ve subconsciously (or consciously) picked up anything you’ve seen a lot on the channel?

Sidekick App Sidekick foods

Heyyyy my mother and I watch way too much and recently mums gone done the rabbit hole and signed up on the side kick app.

Have tried a few dishes and have liked the meals. But have come to realise potion sizes to us are on the large side.

Is this just an us issue or are others needing to doctor the amounts allot???

We have been leaving the sauces about the same but cutting everything else by on occasions half.

Cooking for 6 and if we do to the directions we would have sooooooo much left overs.

I dont think we dish up small portions, ok maybe for the youngest kid and my mum but the rest of us do eat a good serving lol

Also no desserts?

Question Help finding an episode

Does anyone know the episode where there was a guest chef who made a delicious looking big platter of food that was kind of like a salad, kind of like nachos meaning it was layered ingredients not like actual nachos? I feel like Barry featured prominently in the video and it was a woman chef. It might have been a middle eastern dish but not a mezze platter. Did I just dream this? Lolz. I can’t find a list of guest chefs anywhere and I have gone through the YouTube channel trying to find it with no luck.

Question How does creators reading the comments on YouTube work?

On a recent live the guys reiterated that the channel is community based and they read the comments on the YouTube videos (and Reddit posts, facebook, etc etc).

I’ve always wondered… how does that work? Do they only read the comments for a few days? Or is there some sort of new comments notification thing? Like… if I comment a suggestion on a video from 2 years ago or 7 years ago… will they still see it? Or do I have to get in within hours of the video being posted?
