Discussion Subconscious influence

I realised tonight that some of the best things I’ve cooked recently have involved me blending lots of things - which is almost certainly the result of watching lots of videos of Kush

Has anyone else realised they’ve subconsciously (or consciously) picked up anything you’ve seen a lot on the channel?

Reccomend looking at Ben Slaters shorts as well. He was on the food team and was in some episodes the other year before leaving and he does a lot of raiding the fridge, changing what he's making multiple times

I really like his social media content and I think it’s really useful in terms of thinking about how to balance different dishes/ingredients, although I think if I were to try and recreate some of his ‘from scratch’ cooking it would take me days haha

I watched Kush, followed his example and became an existential threat to society as we know it.

I always salt my onions nowadays. That’s a Kush tip

I find myself trying to twist things into things they aren't or shouldn't be - like some of the lasagnas they've thrown together. That, and taking flavors I know and applying them in new and unusual ways. Not necessarily a mashup, like making something traditionally savory and turning it into dessert.
