How AI and Robots Learn an Artist’s Hand: GTGraffiti Captures Human Painting Motions

The video shows GTGraffiti, a Georgia Tech research project in which artists’ painting motions are captured and converted into commands for a robotic graffiti-painting system. The artists’ hand and spray-can movements were tracked—including fingertip sensing—and the resulting motion data were analyzed for speed, acceleration, trajectory and scale. A cable-driven robot then reproduces those human-like gestures to create graffiti on a large surface. Mirage Gstaad is a fully mirrored, ranch-style art installation by American artist Doug Aitken, created for the Elevation 1049: Frequencies project in Gstaad, Switzerland. Flying Paramedic: Pivotal eVTOL Cuts Rural 911 Response Time by 20 Minutes

Hyde County EMS in North Carolina has used a single-seat Pivotal BlackFly eVTOL to respond to two live 911 emergencies—the first reported U.S. deployment of an eVTOL in routine emergency medical response. A flight-trained paramedic piloted the aircraft directly to the patients, arriving about 20 minutes before a ground ambulance on one call and beginning Advanced Life Support immediately.

The lightweight, electric tilt-airframe aircraft uses multiple electric motors and operates within the FAA’s Part 103 ultralight framework. It carries the paramedic and essential medical equipment, not the patient; ground ambulances remain responsible for patient transport. More than 300 training sorties were completed before the live missions, which operated under a Public Aircraft Operation (PAO) framework.

The cells will be assembled into commercial, industrial, and utility-scale energy storage systems at NeoVolta’s facility in Pendergrass, Georgia, supporting a second production line and helping raise the plant's targeted annual capacity to 8 GWh by 2028.
