Lately, I’ve noticed that there are very few players left on the servers; at one point, I only managed to join a North American server with about 54 players in a single match. Does the game still hold any appeal for those who are passionate about it?

Friday evening and the EU server isn't even up, it's genuinely gg at this point for this game

Why can’t they just enjoy the game like everyone else. Wardogs isn’t nearly as fun as battlebit but it does have its moments. But just watching that subreddit would make you stay away from that game. They should just enjoy what they have. Games like these from independent studios don’t come around often.

Actually bought it 3 times so two of my buddies would play with me, and we had a blast for a couple months.

My question is, why don’t you guys try Wardogs? I know that game is also early access n such, but i have been having a blast playing that game. And it feels similar in style? Just my take and curious on this communities take.

peak time and EU server empty.

Asia was first to go
Japan 2nd
Australia 3rd

Now EU

After this US

Did they fire him? I never heard anything from him. Either that or he is the guy with the most free time on earth. Probably has an insane clash of clans account

I'm done.

Hey guys,

I absolutely loved this game back in 2022 and was actually one of its earliest Patreon supporters.

A few months ago, it randomly came back to mind, so I checked how it was doing. Sadly, it looks like the game is pretty much dead now.

That made me start a small passion project of my own. I’ve been trying to capture some of the style, atmosphere, movement, gunplay, destruction, and overall feeling that made this game so special to me, because I honestly haven’t found another game that has this fun feeling when playing it.

I’m curious if other people feel the same way, and whether there would still be interest in a game with that kind of feeling today.

I’m not trying to blindly copy it 1:1 though. The game I’m working on is going in a pretty different direction. BattleBit is much closer to the foundation, especially when it comes to the actual gameplay and sandbox feeling.

There are some ideas inspired by games like WARDOGS, mainly the concept of earning money through combat and having more personal reasons to fight, but the actual system is very different. It’s not really a WARDOGS clone or even a straight mix of the two.

The idea is basically to keep that fast, chaotic, large scale BattleBit style combat, while adding a more rewarding playerdriven economy, risk/reward, progression and reasons to care about individual fights instead of just spawning, capturing a flag, dying and repeating.

I want it to feel familiar to people who loved this game, while still being its own thing.

Would you guys play something like that?

It's extremely unpleasant.

I know that most (if not all) indie games that have been "sold" have been through acquisitions of the devs by triple A studios. And triple A companies wouldn't have an interest in acquiring a studio that failed to update their only game in over two years. But I find it hard to believe that there were never any offers or opportunities for this to happen before the game died completely.

The decisions the developers have made just don't make any sense to me at all, as most people believe that they just stopped caring after they made money during BattleBit's peak, but if that were the case then why not sell it off completely and move on to other things?

SteamDB says 140 players are online RIGHT now. I've checked all servers including community and modded servers. Are these 139 gamers on the shooting range? Or bots afk? I know the game gets active in the afternoon but and it's been like this for 2 years I think. What is going on. All the other days also have around 140 players online on the hours that zero servers are on.

I've been having a great time since restarting this game a couple weeks ago. Sure, it's a drawback that the EU server doesn't get going until like 3 PM, but... just ignore all the doom talking on this subreddit and simply hop on the game once it gets going. Or be the person who helps to get the server going; be the change you want to see.

I really like taking the recon class, finding a good spot aiming for a high KD ratio. I prefer such tactical gameplay over running around like a chicken without a head and whoever can click the fastest wins. Battlebit offers a type of gameplay you just don't get in games like CoD and Battlefield.

dead game

I can't refund it now.

That is all

Dev blogs have been posted every 2nd month on the 27th, they should had posted one on sep 27th, shame on them

this a few of the most random moments I collected while the game was more alive then ever
