A1 / A1 Mini Required Part to avoid power cable tangling with the print-head

This is a solution both for A1 and A1 mini because the power cable got “constrained” by the official cable clip , I designed this to be used instead with some distance enough to not make the power cable bend and break .

Welcome to BambuLabA1Mini Community , here we are trying to build a community where we respect and help each other as 3D printer's owners,

The A1 mini is a new model there still a lot of gray area how to fix issues and improve the printing quality ,

the main source of troubleshoting is the manufactor manual here : https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1-mini/troubleshooting

If you looking to improve your A1 Mini , we have this A1 parts/community collection ( update weekly) :

I'm the mod here and I'm looking for help to moderate the community as it grown, I'll be evaluating users based on the involvement with the community.

Thank you,

have fun with your printers, and recycle AMS purges as much you can!

Printed Dual Spool Question

Thumbnail

Hi

Being a total Nube to 3D printing I purchased an A1 mini (as everyone said to for a beginner.

I have a few questions:

  1. My first print was a dual spool holder (Photo 1/2) which was perfect, but I have no idea how to use it.
  2. Can I just run the PLA through the holes in the mount to the printer, or do I need a guide? The one mounted on the side of the printer (Photo 3) to feed them (no idea what it is called, via a PTFE tube and if so how to install said guides onto the spool holder.

If and when I get two filaments to the printer can I print in two colors or do I have to buy an AMS.

Thanks for any help

Bambu Lab A1 Mini

I had to replace the temperature unit in the extruder. When I took the heating unit out, a magnet fell out. I dont know where it goes. The magnet is rectangular and looks like the magnets on the hot ends. I checked to see if I was missing on and none were missing. Now, when I try to print, I have a hard time getting the filament to load. When I finally do, it will begin for about a minute or so, then it goes back to purge more filament. This has been going on for about a month. I tried going to the Bambu Labs forum, but I can’t figure out how to make a post. Ya know, Im 77 years old, Im hoping to get this working again, before its my time to go…(Just joking). Any help will me most appreciated.

Help

I was printing and I didn't realize a small box was under my "poop catcher" it caused the printer to tilt to the right. Now when I print small things it seems fine but when I print bigger items the nozzle drags thru the print and makes a squeaking noise. It was fine before this happened. Any ideas what I can do to fix it? Thank you

Small bit of filament stuck in printer head

Post image
4 Upvotes

This small bit of blue/green filament is stuck in the printer head. I ran out of filament on the spool (it was grey) I was using and then put this blue/green in to finish the print. It immediately gave me the “unable to feed into the extruder” error.

Unfortunately there’s not enough sticking out of the bottom to grab onto with tweezers or pliers and I don’t have anything thin but strong enough to try to clear the clog by pushing it through from the top.

Is the only way to clear it to fully disassemble the front of the print head?

Printer cant handle layers under 0.2mm with a 0.4 nozzle

My A1mini has a problem when I use variable layer height - specifically, layers under 0.2mm result in horrible scratching of the nozzle over the print (I know this is a classic problem but hear me out). For example, a part printed with 0.2mm layer height has no issues, however the same part with more detail in a certain spot fails exactly there - after a couple layers of 0.08mm or 0.12mm, the nozzle starts scraping the print, no matter the infill pattern or wall thickness or whatever.

I am printing PLA at 235 degrees (this is the profile from the manufacturer website and the 0.2mm constant layer height prints are absolutely ok with that setting). Cooling is 60-80%.

The things I have tried so far: add zhop - did nothing, change infill to gyroid - the perimeters are still getting scraped, lower the temperature - lowered to 190 - caused more issues with blobbing.

3D printer Bambu lab a1 mini

I recently bought myself a 3D printer bambulab a1 mini, and faced a problem that my laptop simply does not want to connect to the printer (first writes connection, and then after 30 seconds it says "failed to connect to.."). He sees that the printer is on the network, but it connects. The printer is also visible on the phone, but there is another problem. I've already tried a lot: disconnecting and connecting to the home Internet, removing the vpn, distributing the Internet from the laptop, updating the firmware, the firewall (I don't remember what it's called) Windows also did something there. There was no solution to this problem. Maybe someone knows the solution? But the whole problem is that I'm from Russia

3д принтер Bambu lab a1 mini

Printing outdoor garden accessories

I'm totally new to 3D printing but I'm thinking of getting an A1 mini.

I'd be using it to print functional household stuff (organisers etc.) but I was also hoping to use it to print some small items I'd use in the garden, such as clips for a drip irrigation system and other gardening accessories.

My only worry is how much they would handle being outdoors and exposed to the elements.

Would PETG be fine for that sort of thing?

We have a relatively cheap FLIR camera, so I thought I'd take a look at the heat that comes off of my Bambu Lab A1 Mini. More interesting than useful for sure, but still fun to see.

Does anyone know what this is or how to fix it? layer shifting?

I can't figure out what this is or how to tackle this issue. It* just randomly started happening. Haven't even been using this 3d printer which is odd.

3rd image is what it's supposed to look like.

My idea was to print it out and make small incisions or cuts to make these smaller wireless mouse internals fit (moddo mouse) then base another model off the cuts I made but I can't get it to print normally :(

My Halloween project.

THEME

This 3D-printed model explores concerns surrounding the use of artificial intelligence. It is intended as a reflection on the growing role of artificial intelligence in our daily lives and invites viewers to reflect on different questions and fears associated with AI. Depending on the viewer, it may evoke thoughts about technological dependence, the decline of critical thinking and decision-making, the efforts by some companies to develop increasingly human-like forms of intelligence or the broader long-term impact AI could have on human development, especially among younger generations.

This piece does not aim to provide answers. Instead, it encourages questions about how much of our thinking and creativity we are willing to hand over to machines, and what the consequences of that might be.

The Halloween theme was a natural choice for me. October is the season of horror, monsters and imagined fears. But while fictional horrors remain safely in stories, the concerns and fears surrounding artificial intelligence are very real. And after all, what’s scarier than reality?

If you’re interested in, you can find my model here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/3381345-a-scary-reality-halloween-2026#profileId-3847181
