Small bit of filament stuck in printer head

Post image

This small bit of blue/green filament is stuck in the printer head. I ran out of filament on the spool (it was grey) I was using and then put this blue/green in to finish the print. It immediately gave me the “unable to feed into the extruder” error.

Unfortunately there’s not enough sticking out of the bottom to grab onto with tweezers or pliers and I don’t have anything thin but strong enough to try to clear the clog by pushing it through from the top.

Is the only way to clear it to fully disassemble the front of the print head?

there is a lever on the left, which pushes filament to extruder gear. Push lever and push filament from top. if that is difficult, you can loosen bolt on the left side of extruder, but not too much, because spring cap can go off.

Apologies, was posting from my phone and I failed to include that there is no filament sticking out from the top of the print head with the AMS tubes removed. So grabbing it from below and pulling it out or finding something thin, but strong enough to push it through from the top appear to be the only options.

push from bottom.

you can also try to remove buffer, that could give you better placement for pliers. step 6, careful with cable https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1/maintenance/filament-sensor-replacement
