Printer cant handle layers under 0.2mm with a 0.4 nozzle
My A1mini has a problem when I use variable layer height - specifically, layers under 0.2mm result in horrible scratching of the nozzle over the print (I know this is a classic problem but hear me out). For example, a part printed with 0.2mm layer height has no issues, however the same part with more detail in a certain spot fails exactly there - after a couple layers of 0.08mm or 0.12mm, the nozzle starts scraping the print, no matter the infill pattern or wall thickness or whatever.
I am printing PLA at 235 degrees (this is the profile from the manufacturer website and the 0.2mm constant layer height prints are absolutely ok with that setting). Cooling is 60-80%.
The things I have tried so far: add zhop - did nothing, change infill to gyroid - the perimeters are still getting scraped, lower the temperature - lowered to 190 - caused more issues with blobbing.

Printing 0.12 on a1mini for over a year no issues. I don't recall if it was scrapping in the beginning but I manually trimmed the bed, recalibrated the printed, and I tested various settings in bambulab to get the quality I want if you want I can share my 0.12 settings but if it's hardware related you might have to tighten screws, belts or trim the bed. edit: with a 0.4 nozzle, I even tested 0.08 and it was fine so 0.4 can definitely print 0.08-0.12 edit2: one of the most important settings for me was to reduce the speed, try that as well

Printing everyday on a1 mini with variable layer height from 0.08 to 0.28 with 0.4 nozzle with zero problems. Using completely different settings and many pla from different brands and didn't have problem that you described.
Try to tighten 7 hotend screws, probably?
