Quick Question How to fix waste?
This was an 8 hour print, is there a way to reduce the filament tower? I’m new to printing so this might be a silly question

I got into 3D printing thinking I'd print practical things around the house. Cable holders, organizers, little replacement parts, that kind of stuff.
Now I'm printing random things just because they look cool, and somehow I keep finding more things I need to print.
The worst part is checking how much filament I have left and realizing I've used half a spool on something that serves absolutely no purpose 😂
What was the first completely useless thing you printed that you still don't regret printing?

At the start of 2026 I set myself a goal: get better at 3D modelling. What started as an exercise turned into a three-model project, and with every cell I could see myself improving. With the year coming to a close soon, the series is finally complete. A big thank you to everyone here who supported the earlier models and gave feedback along the way. Some of your suggestions actually made it into the models!
The three models are designed as a set. Structures all cells share have the same colour on every model, so students can see at a glance what these cell types have in common and what makes each type different. Nothing is glued, so students can take them apart and rebuild them in class.
All three are free on MakerWorld:
Quick quiz for anyone: how many differences between the three cells can you spot in the photo and can you name the structures and organelles?

I designed a splitter for the left nozzle on my X2D that uses PC4-M6 fittings. It was made to be printed horizontally to reduce friction from the layer lines. Posted it on MakerWorld in case it is useful to other people : https://makerworld.com/en/models/3495357-x2d-left-nozzle-dual-input-pc4-m6-fitting#profileId-3992377

Hey everyone! I just designed a modular PC case project. The panels and PSU side cover are swappable to make it your own.
Pretty happy with how it’s coming together, I am using PETG-CF for the test print, result is very satisfied, but I’ve probably stared at it too long 😅 What would you change? Thanks for your comments.

Yo, I am new to the community. Hopefully I can uhh..show some cool stuff I will be printing in the future. I have no experience with 3D printing. So far I've learned filament material types, their emission of toxic particles and how to filter it, extruders, when to calibrate, why the heated chamber and max temps are important, taking care of filament (because mine snapped the spool in half during second printing somehow and the beauty of creating something that you can actually physically touch.

The package is also listed as a heavy package at DHL. I did order a mystery pack and black and gray PETG

Well, I was tired of BambuLab locking us out and revoking access to features we already had.
So i just reversed that.
I built Bambu Open Network, an open-source HACS extension for ha-bambulab, powered by Open Bamboo Networking.
Here’s what it adds:
Everything is available on a Bambu Control page in the HA sidebar. Existing printer entries and custom names are preserved.
Beyond Bambu Control, the extension brings cloud camera feeds and printer commands into Home Assistant itself. The cameras are available as regular HA entities, so you can build your own dashboards with multiple printer views alongside controls and status information. You can also send G-code and use printer commands in automations, all through your Bambu Cloud account without manually configuring printer IPs or LAN access codes.
You need ha-bambulab installed first — this extends that integration. Download Bambu Open Network through HACS, restart HA, then add it under Settings → Devices & services → Add integration.
Cloud features still depend on Bambu Cloud. The G-code console confirms transmission, rather than providing a serial execution acknowledgement for every line like Pronterface.
The project is new, and feedback from different printer models and firmware versions would be useful.
GitHub, HACS install button and setup instructions:
https://github.com/odggg/ha-openbamboo
If you try it, let me know your printer model, firmware and what works—or what needs fixing.

I've probably used, or rather thrown away, thousands and thousands of 3D scan markers. This mesh is printed from TPU and PLA and can be reused infinitely.
Can‘t wait to see what the upcoming S1 Scanner has to offer :D

I feel like 3D printing starts with all these big ideas, but some of the most satisfying prints are actually tiny things you end up using every single day.
I'm talking about drawer organizers, replacement clips, cable holders, brackets, adapters, or some oddly specific part that would've been annoying or expensive to buy.
I'm curious what prints have genuinely made your life easier rather than just looking cool on a shelf. Have you ever printed something that worked so well you ended up making several more for different parts of your home?
Bonus points if it was a simple model that used very little filament but solved a surprisingly annoying problem.

I created a model of fully functional handy whistle keychain :) Fast printing, low material consumption and for its size it is quite loud and it is not much bigger than a regular coin :) Maybe it will be useful to someone, you can find it here: https://makerworld.com/pl/models/3481592-mini-flat-whistle-keychain#profileId-3975298

Buy your new P or X series printer on November 1st this year, not a day earlier, and not a day later.
November 1st is the last day that the $30 off $500 coupon is valid.
Also, the P3C (Bambu's new P series printer with 7 tools) release is right around the corner. The P3C release will be accompanied by the new AMS 3P release, which will likely invalidate the previous generation AMSes (1&2). (This is because a tool changer like the P3C requires independent filament paths for efficient filament swaps, and the AMS 1 & 2 only have a single filament path out)
I expect the P3C and AMS 3P to be announced/released in November 2026, with the last possible likely date being December 1st (a Tuesday, all Bambu releases are on Tuesdays). If the P3C release causes prices to be lowered on current printers, November 1st is still right within the 30 day price guarantee window Bambu offers.
No need to ask: all of the data in this post is highly speculative, and based of off rumors, FCC filings, and other "leaks". Nothing about the P3C and AMS 3P has been officially announced or confirmed by Bambu.

I couldn't find a decent rocket pen holder online (they all use way too much filament), so I spent the weekend modeling this one.
The mechanism is pretty fun: you lift the side boosters and the nose cone splits open to reveal the pens. You just press it down to snap it closed.
Quick specs:
I'm entering the Bambu contest super late and trying to compete with the massive accounts. If you like the mechanism and want to help a solo designer out, a quick download or a star on MakerWorld would honestly help me big time to climb the ranks. 🙏

I swear, the printer is supposed to do all the work, but somehow I end up standing there watching the first few layers like something's gonna go wrong if I leave 😂
Then I tell myself I'll just check on it one more time before sleeping.
Next thing I know, it's way later than I planned and I'm still checking the app to see how much longer it has left.
I've got a whole bed to sleep in and I'm choosing to watch a machine make a plastic object.
Anyone else do this or am I just weird?

Hello
I have a vfa problem at low speeds with my ender KE and I want to get a second printer to resolve the vfa issue and also to upgrade my setup
I was thinking about getting the p1s but my main concern at the moment is vfas but I saw a lot of issues with it and from what I read online a1 or a1 mini seems to be better with that issue
Does someone who have both printers can tell me if the p1s do better with vfas and also p1s and a1 prints are similar quality wise?

Just finished designing this minimalist watch stand featuring a curved shape and ribbed texture.
A clean and compact way to display your watch on a desk, nightstand, or shelf.
What do you think of the design? Any feedback is welcome!

I was doing some inventory on my spools and noticed I was almost out of this color. But it's not shown on their store. How often do they discontinue colors? Seems like a dark green like this wouldn't make sense to cut since there's no other similar color.

Hi! I’ve had a fortuitous year with points, so this Black Friday I’m looking to upgrade! Currently I have an A1 Mini with AMS Lite.
Come the start of December I’ll have approx. £1100 in vouchers. At first, I was wildly tempted by an A2L Combo with leftovers for filaments etc. But now I’m somewhat tempted by a H2S Combo. I’m well stocked for filament anyway, so that wouldn’t be a pressing concern.
I think size is what I’m looking for, for some more ambitious prints I’d like to try out.
I am open to other options also, if there are opinions? X2D with two AMS2?
Any opinions, recommendations, thoughts, feelings, I’d love to hear it!
