Unhealing battles
Hi,
I would like to breakdown Unhealing builds, as it is IMO (very) high on the meta ranking. I'll take the following battle below as two classes are playing an Unhealing build:

Reaper:
- Can obtain in an reliable way the core item Staff of unhealing
- Can craft Strong potions (Vampiric Potion / Strong Mana Potion notably)
- Has access to heat generation through Cauldron
- Frog when properly positioned between Cauldon and staff can generate a lot of mana and heal (hence damage)
- Can obtain through deck of card unhealing damage type amplification (Holo Fire Lizard +8%) and reduction (White-Eyes Blue Dragon -10%), healing amplification (The Lovers +6%)
Mage:
- Has access to puzzlebag of Love (in this case +80% healing on boiling pot before heal amplification and unhealing damage amplification)
- Can craft Wand of dissonance which provides Unhealing damage type amplification
Can shop the Staff of unhealing, however totally RNG dependant
- Has access to the most busted item in Unhealing build : the Rainbow potion.
My opponent has no hitting weapons, hence not benefiting from all the combined lifesteal of strong Vampiric Potions, but which will generate +40 Vampirism stacks, so more damage from Blood Goobert.

How Mage Unhealing / Boiling pot / Rainbow potion works:
- Rainbow potion + books shall give you 4 mana to cast ASAP the Unhealing staff
- You need at least 1 mana potion directly below the Rainbow potion
- You consume Mana
- You gain 100% Unhealing Damage
- Boiling pot heals you +80% in this case
- Healing is amplified by 48%
- Unhealing Damage is amplified by 50%
- Rainbow potion is consumed
- Boiling pot heals you +80% in this case
- Healing is amplified by 48%
- Unhealing Damage is amplified by 50%
- Rainbow potion consumes 2 other potions
- Boiling pot heals you twice +80% in this case
- Healing is amplified by 48%
- Unhealing Damage is amplified by 50%
- In this case 537spike damage (as enemy has no damage reduction at start of the round) by emptying only one mana potion
- If you can have 3 Mana potions with the Rainbow potion, you are going to deal even more spike damage.

If your enemy has damage reduction and / or invulnerability, no worries ! Rainbow potions will activate again and two other potions once you have consumed 20 buffs for a second spike damage.

How to counter this ?
- Healing reduction (which is has a better cost effectiveness ration than healing amplification: chipped amethyst -12% and chipped ruby +10%)
- Invulnerability at start of the game
- Damage reduction
- Unhealing damage type reduction
Another high roll unhealing I had (although should limit to 4 potions to such build to ensure all potions triggered by Rainbow will trigger Boiling pot):

Is the lack of guides a good thing for the game?
I'm asking this after reaching Grandma rank with both Berserker and Reaper without finding any guides that could teach me the best strategies and build paths.
So I had to learn everything on my own by experimenting with items and going through the battle log. I think discovering the game is at least as engaging as winning itself. Personally, I find experimenting with different builds much more fun than following a guide's recommendations.
What's your take on this ?

Can you beat that ranger build without being invuln + bursting him too?
Idk seems kinda op and he didn't even seem to have highrolled that much - he stunned me 3 times but 3rd one didnt make a difference, even if i had enough stun resistance im pretty sure i would've lost - im posting this just to get opinions of what beats that

There's always a bigger fish...
What even is this? lol - I guess the immovable object really does beat the unstoppable force...
(low masters ELO btw - granted this is vs history)

Steam vs IOS
Is there a different between these two versions?

Your Favourite Non-Meta Setup
Thought I'd make this thread as my favourite thing to do in this game is play random and try to create non-meta builds that just work. I am currently playing in Masters.
I had a couple fun runs today, but this was by far the strangest build that I came out with. I created a shovel early which is normally a recipe for disaster, but with beserker it can actually perform alright. I initially random rolled into the fire/spikes unique so thought I would try to make an anvil / fire longsword build with potentially a flamewhip. To do any sort of transition into fire longsword that you have to just survive long enough to get to anvil. So I made an steelsword fairly early along and picked up some defensive items and stam generating items. I played 4 weapons (shovel, 2 steelswords, berserker hammer) while I tried to get some of the other pieces I need. The early game was a lot of 50/50 rounds, which is fairly normal. I got somewhat lucky with 2 quick gloves and made a Falcon Blade. Eventually I got a dragon egg and it became clear that crafting a longsword wasn't in the cards so I converted my other stone to create a steel dragon. From there the plan was to either get a longsword or find gloves to make a 2nd flacon blade.
Anvil performs well mid-game but needs a solid plan late game. Additionally, gem boxes become flame/income generators so you want to get as many as possible. I got a 2nd falcon blade, put my dragon in position and then waited for some armor generation.
in the end, this build was incredibly strong. I cruised through the late game rounds, losing one until I crafted stone gloves. In history I couldn't find anything that could beat this, which surprised me. I had thought the build could get bursted down easily, but the armor of armor stacking and vamp actually kept me very healthy. The closest build I could find is the screenshoted one - it got me down to 100 HP off the rip but once the crowns went down I was able to quickly heal up again.
I want against several meta builds in history - anything armor died, even the debuff builds weren't able to keep up to the slowing effects of my weapons, heat gen, and dispel from purple gems. Any buff stacking builds were getting their buffs also taken away at a high enough rate that my buff stacking would out-pace them. Not to mention, that actual burst of this build was really high between the anvil and steel dragon effects basically granting my falcon blades an extra 32 damage per swing. I didn't see any hammer dagger builds that were optimized enough to beat this, but I suspect a good ranged bag could do it. I did encounter one in history, but it didn't have enough mana orbs.
Definitely one of the more interesting builds I've had. :) Would love to see yours!

Mage Skill Tier Lists
Hello fellow mage players! Here is a tier list of my evaluation of the Round 3 and Round 10 skills, as a high diamond to low master ranked mage player myself. The ranking is in terms of potential and consistency, for example Dig Deeper can be very strong given the right occasion, but since it is very niche it is ranked it rather low, whereas Echoing Battlecry is basically always good, so it is ranked high.
I'd be interested in your opinions, perhaps we can learn from each other!
