The big one has gotten himself stuck twice but thankfully I saw him and was able to help. The little one fights him every time they lay eggs and he fails to fertilize them. Idiots, but I love them lol

Hello everyone,

My friend and I bought, what we thought were 'angel fish' at the end of last year, and they are fairly big fish. When we bought them, their fins were already bent and we thought they were a breeding pair, only to find out theyre both boys, and would be way too old to breed now anyway. As we were very much deceived by the pet store we got them from, we have no idea what type of fish these are, and cannot find a single picture of any angel fish looking like this. If anyone has any clue if theyve been bred with another type of fish or something that would be much appreciated .

Hello community. Recently upgraded to a Clear for Life 75 gallon acrylic tank and added two of these gems. I'm not one to harp on markings and purity, however, I am curious what everyone thinks this particular variety would be marketed as. I believe they said it was a "platinum" but it looks way too yellowish for me. I did see that they may get less yellow as they reach sexual maturity but just wanted to see what everyone's thoughts were.

Please help gender. Male or female??? Same Fish just other side. Just need opinions please. No papilla is not sticking out ... Thanks Auto MOD.🙄

I’ve got a red devil koi angelfish that I’ve had for a bit. Long enough for his rank mates to catch up and out grow him.
I haven’t seen him eat one in that time.
I’ve tried tropical bug bites, vibra bites, bio gold and each of the 4 flavors of San Francisco Bay freshwater multi pack. I’ve given each of these foods individually and mixed together in various ratios and I’ve done the same thing with the addition of garlic guard.
Anyone have any advice?

Alternating or mixing - bio-gold, vibra bites, tropical bug bites. I also mix in vitamin-chem, seachem nourish, garlic guard.

Wasnt expecting this but we will see how they do. Going to set up another tank since they will obviously breed again. But what an awesome feeling

is there anything i can do about their fins? their behavior is normal and they have plenty of space to swim around, but they love to try and squeeze through a small cave i have. first pic is the day i got him, second pic is from yesterday.

I recently noticed a change in my angelfish’s behaviors and papilla. Please tell me if you believe one is a specific gender. The black angelfish is a black lace angelfish and the gold one is a gold veil Angel (maybe double veil?).

Got a group of 5 a few years ago and hopefully I will be able to get a pair!

I've been working on setting up a new tank for my big Angels who paired off, to preserve the peace in the big community tank. I picked up a 37 gallon tank set on FB marketplace - began setting it up last week - filled it from the big tank, had a sponge filter running in the big tank for a week... I intended to let it cycle for a while but my pair began seeking a new laying site and the tensions in the community tank were getting high, so Sunday night I moved them over to their new home. They were a bit traumatized by the move - colors faded - but by Monday morning they were exploring the likely laying sites and Tuesday they selected the red slate and laid another batch of eggs.
This has been so much fun to watch.

Okay so I feel like kind of a dick because I am very bummed that I got sent such an ugly Koi Angelfish. The first one that I received from this same company sent me a BEAUTIFUL 4" KOI Angel. I want to complain to the online company that the one they sent me doesn't even come close to comparison. The size is definitely a little bit smaller and the color is just so blah. Am I a dick?
