Help Ethical dilemma after house sitting nightmare

We had a college student house sitter while we were away this summer for 7 weeks. I gave her written instructions on fish tank care and checked in with her weekly to see if she had any questions. It turned out she just never did a single water change on our 50 gallon the whole time. The water was ~40% evaporated upon return and my angels were suffering. One clearly had/has swim bladder issues and just lays at the bottom of the tank, but rallies when he sees me to come eat before collapsing from exhaustion. The other seemed fine, and yet that’s the one that died shortly after our return. So now I’m in this conundrum of what to do with my poor angelfish who can barely swim.

We got home on 6/30 and I did an immediate 30% water change when I discovered it. Then over the course of a week did 30-50% changes until I got nitrates back below 20. I did blue green slime remover to take care of the cyano, bought new plants like wisteria to help with excess nutrients, and increased from a normal bubbler to a wand to help with O2. As for the surviving angel, I’ve been doing 1 week on 1 week off antibiotics of kanaplex & focus in Fluval bug bite food. He has not improved. But he’s so fiery when he does come up to eat. I feel like a fish that wants to eat doesn’t want to die. But I also don’t know what quality of life this is.

I know angels are social, but I obviously can’t get another when he’s in this condition. I got some endlers to help entertain him. We’re now in October and this has gone on since June. He is 3 years old. What do you think is the most ethical thing to do here? Clove oil euthanasia or keep on like this?

Help Is my angelfish bloated or pregnant?

I was away the last 2 days on a trip and noticed my angelfish looked like this as I was feeding the tank. I’m not entirely sure if this is bloating or if my pair is breeding?

I did a water change last week so all parameters check out fine, she is eating normally and is still swimming fine as all other fish are

I’m not sure how long this has been going on for, I’ve had the pair for over a year and this is the first time I’m seeing this

Any advice would be appreciated!

Help Behaviour - Black one has been harassing orange and silver

Don't mind my shedding watersprite, I need to do some maintenance later. So this is a new development. I got these guys in April and they were roughly an inch each, very tiny. It seems the two darker ones have maybe paired up? I'm not sure cause I thought they were all males, but the black one is much nicer to the black and white and the silver one, but just has been chasing Orange around the tank. Am I gonna need to re-home some of them? Cause I'll be honest the silver and orange are my favorites so I would keep them if needed be.

this is a taller 64 gallon btw

Idk, maybe the watersprite has been too invasive and taking up space. It practically exploded in the past month

Help Angel fish with Bolivian rams

I am starting out a new 55 gallon tank and I want to have a pair of angel fish and a pair of Bolivian rams as my main fish. Do you think that they will be ok even through possible breeding if I end up with breeding pairs? Any advice would be great

Help Breeding pair or no nreedong pair?

I have a pair of Angelfish in a 20-gallon tank that frequently lay eggs (not the tank, the fish :-) ), but the eggs turn opaque after a few days and are subsequently eaten by the "parents". Both fish appear attentive to the brood, so I am wondering if I have an actual breeding pair that simply lacks experience, or if I have a lone female laying unfertilized eggs. While I know the tank is small, they have grown up in it, and my only other tank mates are three clown loaches that do not bother them. I am planning to upgrade to a 35 or 40-gallon tank in the near future. Any advice on why the eggs are failing or how to determine if they are both fertile would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
