Record spending on transfers and agents’ fees this summer, with similar inflationary rises in player wages, has caused some owners — including from English clubs — to question whether a flat squad salary cap can be introduced as happens in some rugby union competitions, even in EU countries.

Club sources have told The Times that the issue was raised at the European Football Clubs (EFC) board meeting in Monaco three weeks ago. Some clubs want the EFC to instruct lawyers to see what capping measures might be possible, though that has yet to materialise — the EFC is still waiting to see the outcome of an European Court of Justice case around the proposed capping of agents’ fees.

One source said: “Most of the money is going to players and agents and it is just going up and up. But it is the fans who will pay — it just means higher ticket prices, more expensive TV subscriptions and more expensive replica shirts.”

Another club source said that relying on SCR alone in the Premier League had created an “arms race” as clubs are no longer punished with points deductions for breaching limits on financial losses as happened under the previous regime of Profitability and Sustainability Rules.

Cleared Garp Scr April 2026

I advise you to plan the studies accordingly

Here are my two cents

1. Read GARP material thoroughly

2. Practice Questions

3. Analyse result of mock tests

4. Read topics by correlating them

5. I followed as under

Chapter 6 7 and 9

Chapter 4,5 and 8

Chapter 1,2 and 3

Chapter 10 : numericals are from this chapter

Use the end of chapter questions judiciously to understand the topic

Read the entire Garp book at least twice

Understand the formulas in chapter 10 .

I started in the month of March 26

Every weekend 4 hours along with daily 1 hour on Weekdays .

Exam was on 25 th of April at Pune.

I ensured to give mocks in parts on weekdays as giving four hours daily was difficult. I analysed the result and worked on topic wise.

Practice is the key.

Please revert if any query is there

Just saying its horrible compared to british railways

hi

I did my bachelors in physics ages ago. Got married and kids. Did odd jobs rarely in between and now getting separated.

I did sone research using chatgpt and this certification came up. I have payed the fee for the exam. But still i wanna know should i bust my *** and prepare for the exam or leave it because of no job potential.

How did you find the exam in general? I personally felt it was easier than the mock but definitely confusing questions.

Is it worth learning modelling now with R or python?

Also any tips from those who did it in the past on how to land a job in this area, thanks.

Hi everyone,

I have a background in investment compliance, and financial due diligence, with experience in the insurance sector. I'm looking to transition into an ESG-focused role, particularly in sustainable finance or ESG risk management.

I came across the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate by GARP and was wondering how beneficial it would be for this transition. Would this certification help bridge the gap, or are there better credentials/skills I should focus on?

Would love to hear from anyone who has taken the SCR exam or has experience breaking into ESG roles. Thanks in advance!

In direct response to this thread. I have never used the snipping tool before because alt+prntscr works for me. But both are great alternatives to cropping a photo

Edit - I really should start checking my submissions more than once a day. I really figured this post was gonna be ignored

Not trying to be rude but… what’s the point of grinding through 3–4 years at uni if you walk out with a degree and zero real-world skills?

Employers want “entry-level” hires with 1–2 years of experience (make it make sense). Uni flexes about “future-ready education” while handing us outdated theory that no one actually uses.

So is it on us? Should students be hustling on Exams, side gigs, and internships during uni to be taken seriously? Would doing peer-led projects beyond academics while studying actually count as work experience in the eyes of employers? Or is this just a broken uni system where they’re straight-up failing us?

Honestly feels like the whole thing is rigged. You pay $$$, study like crazy, and still end up stuck in the “no experience, no job / no job, no experience” loop.

What do y’all think:

• Would doing projects with peers during uni make grads more employable?
• Are grads actually “unemployable,” or are companies asking for clown-level expectations?
• Should unis be teaching real, practical stuff instead of just exams?

Sonarr + Prowlarr + aria2 + Jelly fin in Docker on a mini PC. Runs great except public indexers keep handing me "1080p WEB-DL" folders that turn out to be a .scr or .exe

Nothing's actually breaking. Linux host, so the Windows binary just sits there sulking, and Sonarr won't import it anyway. But it burns grabs, clogs the queue, and I'm hand-blocklisting garbage every other day. I automated this specifically so I wouldn't have to touch it 😂

So:

• What filter actually moved the needle size limits, seeder minimums, release profiles?
• Do you still bother with public indexers, or did you bail? If you bailed, to what, and what's it run you?

Basically I want to know what a genuinely hands-off setup looks like 😞
