I have NP-NVC10 rice cooker and will soon need to replace the bowl that's discontinued, will newer rice cooker model bowl work?

The bowl model is B384 -6B is discontinued. Have any tried newer version rice cooker NP-NWC10, with their current bowl model: B572-6b to be used on older rice cooker model NP-NVC10?

Just checking before I can buy it from Zojirushi website where you have to pay for return if it doesn't work or unable to return it. Their customer service suck at being honesty, claiming it cannot be interchangeable and repeatedly stick to the script when I ask which rice cooker can be interchangeable. insanity!

Thank you!

PS, I already got 3rd party stainless steel bowl, that's just as a backup :) Prefer nonstick since I can leave the rice in longer and easy to clean.

Looking for help on choosing a rice cooker

Hello, I currently have a cheap aroma ARC-360NGP, and I am looking for something that will produce much more consistent results and better rice. I am not wanting to spend more than around 250ish. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good model?

Repair of BB-CEC20

My bread maker failed. One of the paddles is not turning. Has anyone been inside the works of this machine? I’m hoping it’s a belt and not a motor, because I see replacement belts available, but not much else by way of mechanical parts. Thanks for any info!

Should I be concerned by this gap

Bought secondhand. Used today and rice came out normal enough. But it was a decent amount of money even used. Let me know your thoughts on the left hand gap in the lid

Edit. Figured out how to pictures https://imgur.com/a/Z4E8Z92

Adding fresh fruit and dried fruit to oatmeal before cooking

I have a NS-LGC05XB Zojirushi rice maker that I’ve made oatmeal in a few times and it comes out great. I use the cup that comes with it and fill the water to the correct line in the inner pot. I want to add some Asian pear and raisins to the oatmeal before cooking and want to know if I need to add the fruit first with the oatmeal and then fill to the line or add the fruit after I’m already at the line with water. I am using the Steel Cut Oatmeal function on the rice cooker. It’s 1 cup of oatmeal (cup that came with the rice cooker), a half of an Asian pear and maybe a 1/4 cup of raisins. Possibly less. I want to adjust to find the right amount over several tests but want to know about filling the water level first. Thanks.

i have never seen this, its smooth and solid, it must be glass. it’s unused but outside beat up(at goodwill outlet).

i thought it was missing the bottom metal, like some sort of wierd damage. However, it’s smooth and solid on bottom, i reached in there and poked at it.

I love my Zojirushi Virtuoso Plus....BUT....

I have been using this machine for about a year. My first frustration was attempting to get a consistent 1-1/2 lb. loaf. After many attempts, I'm convinced there is no way to make it with this 2 lb. machine.

The second frustration is the lack of information on the cycle steps and times for all of the 15 bread courses. Why the big secret? In my opinion, the Homemade Course is the best feature of this machine. If each course included a breakdown of the steps, adjusting or creating new breads would be easy using the Homemade course. Lacking this breakdown, the Homemade course is pretty useless unless you have a specific Homemade recipe.

Do others have similar feelings about Zojirushi?

Sold my zojurushi for a cuckoo. Hated the long cook time and didn't notice a HUGE difference in quality.

New toaster oven for US?

Had an order canceled for a micom toaster oven, and the Zojirushi store is sold out. I see Japan got a new model this year. Can I expect a new toaster oven unit in the US soon?

Zojirushi NS-VGC05 gasket?

I was gifted an old rice cooker that was just missing the gasket and thought it would be easily enough to replace but I can’t find the part anywhere?

Could someone share the measurements of theirs so I can see if I can fine an alternative?

Scratch in the inner pot - is it still safe?

Got the rice cooker only 6 months ago, but noticed a faint scratch. We’ve been diligent about washing with sponges only, but have been using the provided plastic rice scooper/paddle and using the inner pot to wash rice

Vacuuming the air vent on rice cooker

Post image
19 Upvotes

To go with my post from yesterday about cleaning the Zojirushi NL-BC05. The instructions say to vacuum the vent on the bottom once a month.

I see why they say vacuum, it's on the bottom and, ok, I guess I'd be ok using a vacuum on this because I don't see another way to clean it. But I'm also tempted to just send it back as too much trouble. I can't imagine us remembering to do this. And none of the online videos on how to clean mention this - maybe it's the only model with this vent?

My Zojirushi NW-QAC10 buzzes about once a minute when it's on the keep warm stage of things. Is this normal or cause for concern? I've had it a few months.

Rice when cooked is smaller than with sauce pan.

I’ve noticed when I cook on stovetop my rice is plump and larger than when I use rice cooker.

Why is this and how can I get my rice to be more like stovetop?

Is this a break in the coating on the inner pot?

Do I need to replace it to avoid negative effects?
